Another 5 stars for the second volume. I'm loving this serial, and can't wait for the third volume to come out in December. The character of Oliver is great, he is so funny, so charming, and is a right cutie. I love his running narrative, and his amusing conversations with Olga. The women in his new place are all equally interesting too, and I can see a lot of trouble in his future, and not only from them, but his soon-to-be clients as well. But Oliver, did you have to do that to poor Elon? I su...more
I say that there is a good display of talent in this story and the two before it because that is what you are getting and all for 99 cents. At times her writing is dark, homorous and a little edgy but there is more to it than that. In the story you are going to find some erotic scenes and some are homo erotic. The nature of the main character is complex and very charismatic but represents a kind of duality that is so well explored in her story. He comes from an aristocratic background and he is...more
Well I read it and I really really enjoyed this one too. In truth, as much as I loved the first volume, this one was better. Livia writes in a way that I'm not that accustomed to, and yet her style is so easy to follow and reads so well - and it complements the story perfectly. You're really an excellent writer and I have read thousands of books.
I love Olga's character and as cool as Oliver is, I think Olga is beginning to steal the show. I can't wait to see how she develops over time and how he...more

Memoirs of a Gigolo Volume Two.
By Livia Ellis
Considering the title, I knew what to expect: a man’s diary of his sexual escapades. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a touch of class in Oliver, and the style and voice in this novel definitely French. Actually, Beatrix from Honoré de Balzac sprung to mind, 1830 Latin French Quarters in Paris, very Montmartre, of the epoch of Toulouse Lautrec. In fact, I got so lost in the debauchery of French mores from that era that I lost...more

After having read Volume One, I really needed to go on reading the second volume. So I read it, I got to know more characters, and more things about Oliver's background, and I really enjoyed this story. I cannot say anything bad about the story, apart from the fact that I still find odd the way of conveying dialogue, but I know that different authors like to try different ways to approach it. The changes in the point of view sometimes are a bit confusing, due to the dialogues, but that doesn't m...more
As with Volume One of this series and the Halloween special, I enjoyed this installment of Memoirs of a Gigolo.
Livia Ellis has a way of making erotica on the same level as most of the rest of literature in many ways. There is a large amount of erotica out there that’s all scenes of sexual activity and almost no plot, if there is an apparent plot to begin with. This isn’t to say erotica like that shouldn’t be written. It’s more that I like a plot and a good amount of substance to everything I rea...more

I really enjoyed part one, and part two was even better. The plot is thickening, more layers are added to Oliver's character, and the escapades he gets involved in get even wilder.
The more I read, the more I root for Oliver to get his life in order and achieve his goals. The sex is fine and interesting, but I'm invested in Ollie and Olga and wondering what's going to happen to the two of them. This series has turned into so much more than I expected.
On to the next!
