I just love Laura Kaye's voice. I've mentioned before in a review about one of her books, but it bears repeating. Kaye writes heartfelt, steamy stories about the most normal people, ones you might know and be friends with. When you read one of her stories, it all just feels so real.

First of all let me say that I still can’t believe that One Night with a Hero has been written by the same author who wrote Hearts in Darkness. Wow! Wow! Wow! What a emotional ride this book was.. It had me laughing, made me feel like I was in a room that was 120°F, halfway trough it I was heart broken and yes I even cried a bit because Laura really has the power to suck you right in. While reading I lost track of the things that were happening around me, totally lost track of time.. result when I was finished I looked up and saw it was nearly 4am.. lol

Great addition to The Hero series. I adored Joss!! Brady & Joss had an agreed upon "one night stand" but naturally nothing ever turns out as planned. Brady is an emotional train wreck and Joss suffers from abandonment issues. Both have very valid reasons for these issues, the road traveled to reach thier HEA was a bumpy one and I thourghly enjoyed the ride. Bonus we get to see plenty of Marco and Aly since Brady is Aly's brother. The epilogue was fulfilling and not leaving me with a million...more
I always enjoy Laura Kaye's books, especially her heroes. I mean, who doesn't? One Night with a Hero was no different.
Brady won't consider marriage or kids not even in his dreams, not after the way he grew up with an abusive parent. With another seriously HOT Hero !!!! :-)))
Brady and Joss were great characters with TONS of sexual chemistry !!
And it was REALLY good to catch up with Marco and Ally and seeing into their future x

Big smiles, melty heart, ok, goo, I'm GOO after reading One Night with a Hero. I l-o-v-e this book h-a-r-d. I really like Laura Kaye's writing and I adore her characters.
I didn't think I would like Brady as much as Marco, but I was sooooo wrong. They are both amazing in similar, yet, very different ways. In plain terms, Brady is a man-whore. A HOT man-whore, but a man-whore all the same.

The book was good and I did enjoy it, although not as much as the first book. I have read the first book multiple times because it was so good. The basic concept behind this book is that the hero had a rough upbringing and his father is an alcoholic. He basically raised his sister and took care of her. I love Laura Kaye’s writing. She another author who writes emotionally torn up characters so real that you just can’t help but feel for them. And although the story itself was emotional and gut wrenching to read, it was still a excellent story and a quick read too.

I loved this book. I read "Her Forbidden Hero" a few months ago and enjoyed it so much that I was really happy when I heard there was a sequel. It starts out with them(Brady Scott and Joss Daniels) meeting for the first time at a park that was filling up for a fireworks display. I really loved Kaye’s Forbidden Hero and when I found that she was coming out with a companion piece, I was ecstatic! The day that it was available, I bought it and started reading it. And oh my!....BRILLIANT!

I started this book this morning and read straight through it. I couldn't put it down, it was that much of a page turner. This is the second in Hero Series by Laura Kaye and it was just as good as the first.

He only came to Joss when he needed her then he wouldn't speak to her again until the next time he had a meltdown and needed to get laid. That was particularly unnerving to me. We've all either been in that situation, or had girlfriends who have had ttoxic relationships with these men who are complete with emotional baggage, not ready to commit but always ready for sex....more

The book is a sequel of 'her forbidden hero', the story of Marco and Alyssa--Although both books can stand alone on their own. One Night with a Hero was delivered in true Laura Kaye fashion! I highly recommend it, it's one I would gladly read again. One of my favorite parts about reading books in a series is how you not only get to revisit previous heros and heroines, but you get to be part of the story for the supporting characters. One Night with a Hero was exactly the kind of book I was in the mood to read at the time when I read it. It's about Brady who's struggling with daddy issues and Joss who's struggling with abandonment issues/loneliness. They meet, have a memorable conversation, which eventually led to a one-night-stand. Holy Hot Shit Batman! This book was goooooooooooooooooooood!
It is just as hot as the cover suggests - seriously!
I love that we get to see inside both Brady and Joss's heads... I absolutely LOVE Brady! He is damaged and kind and sweet and good but doesn't think he deserves love from anyone or a future with anyone. Joss is also damaged but she still wants what everyone wants... a future, someone forever, a family.

This is Brady’s story!! We got to meet Brady in book 1 but you really didn’t get to know him…and he is not who I thought he was going to be.
