Constantine’s Christmas reads like a cross between Up Pompeii and Lindsay Davis. But, despite its brevity, Constantine’s Christmas also boasts some clear thinking and well drawn observations amongst its humour and fast-flowing farce. It is a story to be read, perhaps, just after finishing Colin Thubron’s Emperor.
