As a collection of essays, this is unsurprisingly, a mixed-bag. Some, like his lengthy history of the postwar era, offer insight into Ho's worldview—and by extension a sizable body of the Lao Dong party. Good collection if you want to know what of Ho Chi Minh's writings/speeches were widely spread and influential, but most of it is just rhetoric- good for understanding him and history, but not too much new to learn.

Nice collection. A timely read as the US revs up the imperialism machine again. The introduction does a great job of seating the works in historical context.
