4 Adorable Ficlet Stars

OMG, this is soooo good! This Just Jory ficlet reminded me why I like Mary Calmes books so much, she makes me smile and makes me LMAO and gosh, reminds me how sweet and adorable she makes her MCs. Jory and Sam are one of my favorite.

I really, really liked this ficlet because

The storyline was cute and funny.
Jory and Sam are perfect
I never wanted this to end.

This book was found is here~
Would a real bank robber have let Jory ramble on like that or would he have clobbered him over the head with his gun to shut him up? Who knows. But the outcome was hilarious and really, really sweet. Me likey!
5 stars

Jory kills me. And Sam. Oh my. It's a love/hate thing with the new book coming out. I can't wait to see what trouble Jory brings Sam but I don't want the series to end.
Jory's life is really crossing over into the realm of Way Beyond Believable now.
2,783 words has me stupidly in love. This was classic Jory and I adored his ramble about Sam going to kill him. The man truly is a trouble magnet but he wouldn't be Jory any other way.

I love Jory so much. He just makes me laugh every time. He's so oblivious sometimes and so ADHD. This time I felt he was actually doing some of it on purpose but he's so adorable.

The scenario made no sense--(view spoiler)--which is why I (originally) gave it four stars instead of five. But Jory is just so much fun to read about that as soon as
This was a fun romp of an installment to get us by until the next book in the series.

Jory is just supposed to enter a bank and make a deposit, but instead he gets held as a hostage for a bank robbery. The robbers find themselves confounded when they learn that it is just not their day. They've captured the spouse of a lethal US Marshall who has a long and tenacious memory it seems. Jory is more worried about what Sam will think about him getting into trouble than he is about getting held as a h
Anything Jory is just plain sweeeet!

This book is a total nonsense and I loved it! Jory gets older but keeps his enchanting ADD personality and his superhuman attractiveness. The way he was talking to the gunman, you would think they were having tea or something. I don't know why I realise only now, when we are at the end of the series, that Jory is probably, no, make it certainly deranged. Poor Sam will die of a heart attack one day.

I'm a huge MC fan and I loved this series, but I never really read this short for some reason. I don't know why now. I just didn't think it would be enough, you know? But it was! It was funny and I loved seeing Jory and Sam again.
Disbelief. Who acts like Jory? No one.

Leave it to Jory to be able to talk his way out of anything.

I decided to stop with book 4 in this series.
Trouble magnet :) Jory. ...more
Okay, this was just too cute.
This is the first book I've read by Mary Calmes and my reaction: where have I been? She is awesome.
Jory is a trouble and danger magnet just as those close to him inform him. It's partly because he can't stand to see people hurt so will always step in without thinking but also because he is a bit naive, but adorably so.
Sam is butch, beefy, not to be messed with and the more logical of the coupling. However when there's danger Sam goes in all guns blazing whereas Jory talks it out. He truly has
This shortie short reminds us of how scatterbrained, charming, and funny Jory is. His laser focus on Sam serves him well, because it mirrors Sam's focus on him. Plus, I am a dialog hound, and Calmes writes dialog that

a. Propels the story forward
b. builds characters and relationships

I love good dialog, and this dialog driven ficlet is a treat.
Jory at his best... ;-)

Starting at the 1st page I laughed aloud through the whole short - as fast as I could read it through the tears flowing my eyes over. Never happened to me in this extreme way before.

Probably only understandable if knowing the whole series.

Please excuse possible mistakes, my English is mainly self-trained
Way too short but as usual highly entertaining. There's just something about Jory. I can't help but love him. I'm looking forward to reading the next book although at the same time I'm terribly sad to think it's the last one. I love this series.
Cute little treat! I can't wait for But For You (A Matter of Time #6) by Mary Calmes. I am so sad to see this series end, they are my favorite couple. ...more
Gosh I love Jory! He lives in a world of his own! The was so much fun and great taste of them, Sam and Dane too!
Thx for sharing!

Only Jory could have pulled that off! Funny as hell, just read it!
Not very believable, but fun nevertheless. 2.5 stars.

cute, but I'm not a huge Jory and Sam fan

Just Jory by Mary Calmes
This one is a Jory and Sam ficklet. Very short and free! Takes about 10 minutes to read. It's hilarious!

This is a super short cute and funny look into the adventures of Jory Harcourt..and his hero, Sam “Mr. Hunky” Kage. It’s free, it’s entertaining, and it’s another chance to see Jory being Jory. What’s not to like!?!

Ok, so I finally get it..five books later. For the longest time I was comparing this book to other Police/Civilian M/M romance suspense books (like the Life Lessons series by Kaje Harper)…but I really shouldn’t have. This is a romantic COMEDY suspense series. Jory’s character is like
I thought this was funny. (view spoiler)

It’s Jory – so that pretty much says it all! I love anything and everything to do with Jory and Sam. I’ll admit, Jory gets himself into some of the craziest situations that most people couldn’t make happen if they tried, but I do love it when Sam comes to the rescue. Yum!
clear skies
Again Jory finds himself in a life or death situation.

This one was sorta funny where Jory find himself in a bank hostage situation.

Still ridiculous though.
