Heather was lucky enough to have Creed with her every step of the way. Creed visited Heather in the hospital every single day while she was in her coma and got her a place to live once she came out of it. He was the greatest friend any one could have. I was partly rooting for Heather to move on and be with Creed. Creed dropped hints that he wanted more and they really understood each other. All the times Creed was there for Heather was real love but maybe only in friendship. No matter what happened I knew they would stay friends. Since Nick was now engaged I was really unsure which way things would go.

Nick is a good guy and really wants to keep his word. He had a long history explaining why that was so important to him. Keeping a promise is important but not at the cost of hurting everyone anyway in the end. I grew to like him a bit more in this book. In the first book I felt like Heather thought of him as too perfect. I wanted Heather to be happy but at the same time I did think it was wrong to keep pushing Nick when he was engaged. While Heather feels like they were just together it has been three years for Nick. I wanted Nick and Heather to really face up to what happened and have a good talk about it but they avoided it for a long time. They would just mention little things here and there and that kind of drove me nuts.

I felt this book was even more emotional than the first. The first was so much about falling in love and this one was all about love, friendship, moving on, and doing what is best for the person you love. Heather did what was right in her heart but also knew that she could let go if that was what was best for Nick. As a fan of happy endings I think everything worked out really well. But I also wouldn't have minded it go either way and for a while I was really unsure how it would end. Heather had great friends and would have found happiness no matter what happened. A really beautiful and emotional story that had me tearing up and thinking about love in different ways.

I absolutely loved this sequel to Reflection by Jessica Roberts because my heart was wondering what will happen between Nick and Heather! This book was unputdownable because I really loved the first novel Reflection. In Reaction, Roberts put the reader in suspense in wondering if Heather will have her happy ending after what happened at the end of Reflection!. I could talk about how much I loved this book and the characters all day! There were some tears along the way.

Basically, I don’t even know where to begin with this review, so forgive me if it’s one hundred percent gushing with a good bit of vagueness thrown in for good measure. It’s no secret that I absolutely loved the first book ~~because Nick is mine~~, but I was an absolute bundle of nerves with how it left off and where I knew this story was heading because of the teaser first chapter we were given of Reaction. With that said, I knew I was in for a roller-coaster ride, but since I’m a bit of an angst-indulging masochist, I was ready to dive in and wallow in the expected heartclenches. I settled in my bed with my Nook, hoping I’d get a little reading in before I fell fast asleep. Well, when I finished this morning around 4:29AM (Omg, I’m such a zombie now!), I continued to sit there with this ridiculous, giddy grin on my face; still stunned by the depth of the beautiful novel I just read.

To keep this review as relatively spoiler-free as possible, I won’t be able to go into detail about all the aspects of the novel that I loved (and there are a LOT of them), but I can offer a few reasons as to why you should be reading this series. One simple fact is that Jessica Roberts effortlessly captures the complexity of emotions so well in her writing. My “feels”– for the lack of a better word that doesn’t sound redundant– ran the gamut with this series, but especially with this book in particular. As Heather navigates and adjusts to her new life, you will laugh, cry, and laugh while you cry as you experience the confusion, anger, happiness, frustration, and heartbreak right alongside our leading lady. Secondly, all the characters, from the main characters all the way down to the lesser mentioned secondary characters, have been fleshed out and feel so undeniably real. Each have their individual personality traits and mannerisms that feel innately tied to their character, and not only that, but they also have a voice that is so unique to them. Lastly, but certainly not least, is the amount of swoons. It was so incredibly difficult for me not to quote the entire book in my goodreads updates. Heather’s memories of the relationship she and Nick shared had my heart racing and jumping in my throat while my stomach somersaulted and filled with butterflies.

Read this story! You’ll be missing out if you don’t. Now, I’ll just leave the following quote as a little teaser. Enjoy!

While Heather tries to go back intro her old routine, she can't help but feel terribly jealous of the new girl Nick is dating. And by taking Liz's advice, she decides to try to steal him back. But trying to convince Nick, is not so easy. Horrible plans lead to more horrible consequences. And Heather might not be able to pay the price this time, when she is not even sure if all she sees is real.
Will Heather ever be able to be her old self? Will she be able to make Nick fall in love with her, again; or will she let her take him away? Find out much more when you read this emotional, heart-wrenching tale of a love, that will fight the borders of time.
I LOVE this book. In the first book, we get to experience everything in Heather's life through her coma state. In this one, she is out in the world and trying to cope through the ups and downs. I loved Heather and Nick in Reflection, but in Reaction, I loved them even more.. Heather is the perfect voice to tell a story, a voice that is clear and haunting.

"A lot happens in three years. Your best friend grows six inches, engagements, your other best friend’s hair grows six inches, engagements, and your favorite grandma’s body shuts down from a little cold gone bad."

LOVE this quote! Although Creed was always in the background in Reflection, we get more of him in Reaction. And I have to say, that I love him. He is the older brother I would never have. Liz is also a wonderful secondary character, her support to Heather was touching, she is an amazing best friend. Jessica Roberts is a terrific writer, and I can't wait to read more of her books!
One of my favorite romantic reads of 2012! This book is memorable, and it will stay with me for a LOT of time. I am trying to convince you to read this book throughout the whole review. So you better decide too read it! And while you are here, try checking out my favorite "swoony" quotes:

Did I enjoy this book: This was a good sequel and conclusion to this series. It wasn't a book that I had to read every free chance I had. But it kept me engrossed enough to want to read through it in a short amount of time.

Reaction picks up right where Reflection left off. After waking from a coma, Heather realized everyone and everything has changed. When she left the hospital, she had to go out and try to get her life back. Everything came back to her easily. She went and registered for classes again, went to talk to her old boss, and even went to see Liz. The only person that didn't come back to her was Nick. Heather finds out Nick is engaged and getting married in December. Will Heather fight to get Nick back...more Reaction picks up right where Reflection left off. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. It was just as good as the first one. I am already wanting to reread it again, especially my favorite parts. It just blew me away. I was captivated from the very first chapter. I couldn't put it down so I read it in a day. The story is beautifully written. I felt like I was right there with the characters rooting them all on. I laughed, cried, was even jumping up and down. The book as AMAZING!!!! The book was just well thought out and well written. I was able to relate with each and everyone of the characters. I loved all the characters in this story. I could see them being my friends if they really existed. I love watching characters grow throughout books, and character development in this series was well written and well thought out.

I loved Heather as a character. After waking from a # year coma, she does whatever she can to get her life back. She fights for the one she truly loves, Nick. Her love has truly grown for him, because she dreamed about Nick while she was in her coma. He is what kept her fighting for her life. Julia has an internal battle going on. Does she fight for the one person she can't live without, or does she let him go if he is really happy? The decision she makes is very admirable. She is such a strong character.

Nick is my favorite character in this series. I would marry that man myself so I don't blame her. He keeps her at arms length though in this one. He basically tells her there is no chance for them and he is definitely getting married. But the thing is, he can't seem to quit thinking about her, or finding ways to see her. She is making him feel again. It was hard watching him struggle as well. He was really trying to do what was right.

I also loved Creed and Liz as well. These two are true friends. Creed was there everyday with her while she was in a coma. He never missed a day. He always protected her no matter what. He was her only family.. Liz was a great listener. Heather could go to her and talk about anything. Liz also helped her fight for Nick ans stuck up for her when snide comments were made by Paige. I was definitely happy that both these characters got their happy ending as well.

This book tool me on am emotional roller coaster ride. It is a heart-wrenching love story that I recommend to everyone!!! It is one that I will definitely be rereading and continue to reread. I truly loved it!!! It was a great end to the series, but I am hoping we get to see more of these characters down the road. (less)

The first thing I have to say about Reaction is that if you haven't read Reflection first, do it. I'm sure you could figure out pretty quickly what was going on, but the emotional impact is so much more knowing what Heather has gone through.

Reaction picks up only weeks after Reflection ended, jumping right into Heather's life as she leaves the hospital and giving us drama right away. I love happy endings and while Reflection didn't exactly give us that, Reaction starts off with the slightest hin...more

In the beginning, I felt like this sequel didn't get a grip on the mood of the first book all that well. But, it got better as the story processed, and once it was revealed what Heather's reaction actually was (and it was a good one, believe me! Sort of predicatble, but not if you didn't really wanted it to be), the atmosphere fell back into place perfectly and was quite like in Reflection. Thus, the arc of suspense was quite well developed, just as in the first book, a job well done.

As for the story, I have to say it was bouncing back and forth a lot, quite like in the first book as well, but here it only made half the sense, and got a little annoying at one point or another. Up to the point where one blow was dealt after another, and it got very, very emotional once again. And yet, even maybe a little exaggerated at some points, it was all so... normal and pretty realistic. Such mundane problems, and how all the characters got connected in a surprising way. Sometimes Fortuna has a weird sort of humor, seriously.

Then, I really don't know how Heather pushed through like this, she was indeed a great character. They were all great. I had the feeling that there was a little more light shone unto the always unapproachable Nick, at least in the very end. And although I can understand if many would still frown over him, I couldn't help but like him overall. He gave this "dark, tall, handsome, mysterious" not a new definition, but I have to say I acutally extremely liked that he stayed mysterious throughout, unlike many other of his spicemen nowadays.

You know, I could totally see Heather chose Creed instead, if she had the time to get over Nick properly. She would've worked through all of this one way or another, but I'm still glad it worked out like it did. This couple, although free of anything paranormal-destiny related, was truly meant for one another, no doubt about it. And since there are many endings out there, authors have to get really creative to come up with something new, or have to be really, really skillful to give a classic just the right feeling and angle. I can let you know that I really, really liked this ending. Well, before the epilogue it was the most awesome, but I didn't mind the little extra glimpse ahead.

When I received Nereyda’s email for the Reaction blog tour, I was screaming and jumping up and down (don’t you love when a book can make you do that?). I loved Jessica Roberts’s first novel Reflection. In Reflection, Roberts had me in total suspense, wondering what the truth was in Heather's life. I had to re-read Reflection because I forgot most of it. I forgot how long Reflection was!

I loved Reaction. I really did. It was so emotional. Much more so than Reflection. I thought I was going to have an anuerysm!

I loved the conversations between Heather and Nick. I loved that he was still in love with her after three years. I knew that once she went to the house he was building, that fireplace would be there.

What to say about Reaction..... Well it is totally EPIC! I have never ever read a love story that has torn me up. Heather has woken up from her coma and she is ready to start her life where she left it off. All she remembers is she was a freshmen in college had her first apartment and a car and her boyfriend Nick was the greatest guy known to man. Well three years later when she wakes from the coma she realizes that Nick has moved on and is now engaged to a girl and getting married soon. The only people she has left are Liz and Creed. The three of them were always together like the three musketeers. So much so that Creed took care of Heather for the three years she was in a coma. He stood by her side and never left her.

So when Heather is told that Nick has moved on she wants to see it for herself. When she does she gets sad and Creed and Liz are there for her and help her comes to terms with what has happened. When Heather talks to Nick she knows that she still loves him and no one will ever take his place. She wants to be with him so bad it hurts but she realizes that Creed is right she needs to move on. She tries but the heart wants what it wants and Heather is not going to give up on Nick without a fight.

What happens is in incredible story. I swear Jessica Roberts has a way of telling the story that my heart broke each time I read something sad and every time Heather told herself to stop loving Nick because he had moved on I cried like a crazy women. This is a must read series about true love and how love does heal all wounds. (less)

AMAZING, TEAR-JERKING, AWE-INSPIRING-ROMANCE!!

The love story between Nick and Heather couldn't feel more real or in this case lack there of. The premise seems totally real and really imaginative. I don't know if I could stand to be in Heather's shoes as she wakes up from her coma. I don't even know if I could attempt to be as strong as her when it comes to matters of the heart. Oh my goodness, first let me say, it was just wonderful to come back to Heather's and Nick's story because I remember reading Reflection, and towards the end, there are just so much realizations on Heather's part because she realizes that she has been in a Coma for almost three years, and her boyfriend, the love of her life, had no idea she was in a Coma, and thought of some silly theory that she ran away to get married to Heather's best friend, Creed. Oh. My. Word. Really? Yeah, so you can just imagine how Heather feels when she wakes up and weeks later, learns about this, and she is just shocked that Nick would move on like that, and as Heather is going back to College, trying to go back to the way things were, it's just hard, because Nick's not there with her...he's with Paige and it's hurting Heather so much, and now as she continues to live her life, does she let Nick back in? Or does she let him go...forever.

This was phenomenal! I loved Reflection and Reaction was just as wonderful. Instead of Heather recalling memories, she is now living her life again, with some memories here and there, that pop up in her mind. I felt there was strong character development with Heather, and especially Nick. I was just amazed on how much emotion/feeling he shows Heather. At times it's just beautiful and then other times I just wanted to smack his arm, because in ways, Nick took a hard toll when he 'thought' Heather had deserted their relationship and Heather is just like 'Whoa, I was unconscious for almost three years, geez!!" Well that's what I felt anyway when reading their scenes together ;) Anyway, I felt there was a great flow, and reading from Heather's POV was really nice and I felt for her, all the time, because she starts out as who she was when she was 18, but as the story goes she matures to the 21-22 year old she is and gains remarkable strength, and it was great reading how she does that.

Now, I don't want to say too much, because I feel you have to read this, to just grasp the beautiful writing, the incredible story, and just so much more. Jessica Roberts is one truly amazing Author and it's just been awesome reading her first two novels, so you can say I'm a big fan of hers now, and look forward to her next story! :) (less)

I was soooooo excited to start Reaction by Jessica Roberts. I said it my review of Reflection, and I’ll say it again…I love the story of Heather and Nick. The story in Reaction kept my emotions right on the surface, with tears constantly sitting in my eyes blurring my reading experience, and embedded itself into my heart. I said it my review of Reflection, and I’ll say it again…I love the story of Heather and Nick. The story in Reaction kept my emotions right on the surface, with tears constantly sitting in my eyes blurring my reading experience, and embedded itself into my heart. If you thought Reflection was an unforgettable story, what you will find in Reaction will blow you away.

Basically starting right where Reflection left off, we witness the jerky attitude of Nick, when Heather comes out of her coma thinking that their true love was still just that…true. But Nick went ahead and ripped her out and pretty much tells her he doesn’t love her anymore, that things have changed, and to basically go away and leave him alone. Ohhh the heart ache! I’m sure those of you who have read Reflection are pretty anxious to find out how he could be such a douche to a girl who just came out of a coma due to no fault of her own.

Heather attempts to try and get her life back on track. Go back to college, make amends with her friends, and possible salvage what she and Nick had. But when Heather goes to confront him at his home out in the country with his aunt and uncle, it’s not the welcome she was hoping for. Nick is engaged to another. I don’t think I’m spoiling anything for you with that bit of news as you find it out pretty early in the book.

As you continue to read, you witness a lot of the bits of information from her accident, to her dreams while in a coma, to the people who are part of this story, come full circle. Little pieces of the puzzle come together to form this whole new twist in this story of Heather and Nick. And can I just say that I love her friends? The way in which they supported Heather during her time of heartbreak? To try to make light of the situation she is in? The way in which they helped Heather get her “fierce” on in hopes of grabbing Nicks attention? Sing with me “They’re the three best friends that anyone could have! They’re the three best friends that anyone could have!”…

Like in Reflection, Reaction had me on my seat the entire read. I needed to know if Heather and Nick would finally be together, or if it was too late for them. It broke my heart every time Heather put her heart out there for Nick to see, and just see if get crushed time after time. I’ll be honest with you. I heart Nick. Like, literally heart him! But there were moments in this book where I said through unshed tears “Stop being a jerk, you jerk! It’s not her fault that she was in a come! Give her some benefit of the doubt you jack nut! Arghhhhh!” Truer words were never said.

Author, Jessica Roberts, does what she does best. Grab the attention and heart of the reader, and take them on an unforgettable rollercoaster ride of emotions. One minute I was sad, the next I’m laughing, then I’m anxious, and back to sad.

In Reaction, we get to see more of the real side of Heather, and why I love her character. Her ability to roll with the punches, to never stop believing, how she can be strong when her world is shattering all around her. Such a beautiful role model for girls everywhere.

What did I learn in this book? Never give up hope when it comes to true love. Grab it, hold on to it, and should it not end how you wished it would, it is a story worth remembering. Now run! Grab your copy and find out what happens with Nick and Heather. Do eeeet!(less)

I’m being honest when I say that I loved Reaction even more than I loved Reflection. Heather has finally awoken from her coma, and she’s back in the real world now. But three years have passed since she’s talked with any of her friends (or him) and she has no idea how their lives have changed while hers has stayed the same.

Boy, have their lives changed.

She’s come into the picture, and it changes everything Heather and Nick ever had. Heather will have to choose between fighting for what she believes is still hers and letting him go. After all they’ve been through, after three years of dreaming about him, will she have to walk away?

If you read my review of Reflection, you’ll remember (or maybe you won’t…haha excuse my bad pun) that I thought the plot was a little slow. Not so with Reaction. I felt like it was more fast-paced, with more climaxes and twists than Reflection had. The romance was more intense, too. Love triangles usually have that effect. I felt I got to know Heather even more, as if her character was delved into more than it was in Reflection. We also get to see more vulnerability in Nick, which I loved.

There were a lot of instances of Heather remembering the time she had with Nick and all the things they did. I found myself thinking, “She knew the guy for only six months- they such must have spent a lot of time together.” That was really the only quirk I had with Reaction. Of course, it had its dorky moments (like the ending…gosh, I really didn’t like the closing scene), but they were minor irritants in this amazing love story. I hope you pick it up, as well as Reflection, because this is a book you don’t want to miss out on.

Hubo momentos en los que quería pegarle a Nick por ser de esa forma, pero al mismo tiempo me daba mucha pena porque en el primer libro me había dejado una gran impresión!! Y Heather?? Dios me encanta la protagonista, lo fuerte que es al recuperarse de esa forma del coma que sufrió durante 2 años y 7 meses...

Pues eso, que le recomiendo estos dos libros a todo el mundo que le guste el amor verdadero y que le guste sufrir también al leer un libro y ver que no sucede lo que tú quieres que pase....!!

This book was freaking GOLDEN! What an emotional ride!
After the continuing right after the first one the emotions were raw, I didn't know what to expect next!
This book had me in knots, that's for sure! It was crazy, the tears never stopped coming especially during the first half of the book! I was crying my eyes out at 10AM in the morning for goodness sake!

I really loved this book. Its a must read but not as a stand alone. The series as a whole is such a beautiful story. It was a very emotional read. i had already cried by 8%. I loved Heather and Nick as well as Creed and Liv. Liv really stood out to me in this book. This is such an interesting story and this book is alot less confusing then the first. This series was absolutely beautiful. True love, regrouping, and true friendships really sum up this book. This book starts off right where book one ends.

Heather has to re-evaluate her life, including what she had with Nick. Nick is engaged and trying to rebuild his life without Heather.

This is a must read book. Hands down 5++++* book! You hit this one out of the park Jessica!!

A good sequel. I knew the beginning wasn't going to be pleasant as Heather wakes up and everything has changed... but hoped it would turn out OK :-p

Heather wakes up from her coma and Nick did go on with his life without her (as did everyone).... So she has to face that a lot of things happened during her absence, and has to go on with her life!

This sequel was amazing, but I knew it would be. This is probably one of the most anticipated sequels for me. And it did not disappoint. My emotions were all over the place. My only complaint with Book One was that I didn't understand how a girl could get hit by a car and put into a coma and no one close to her knew about it. I was glad Roberts addressed this in Book Two. This book was worth the time and money. Get it!!
