Powieść o brzydkiej, chudej, rudej i nieszczęśliwie zakochanej dziewczynie. Ida Sierpniowa by Małgorzata Musierowicz is a book about a girl during the communist period in Poland and her adventures with her family, friends, neighbours and herself. At the beginning of the book, she leaves her family during their vacation at the lake and goes back home. Then she realizes she has to find a job and this is when her adventures begin.
This book is good, but I didn’t understand some of the jokes, since I wasn’t born during this period, or when it was published. The plot was i

This time the main character is Ida Borejko, who decides to come back earlier from vacations she spends with her family in small village on Mazury. Because of lack of money she starts working for elderly man Paszkiet as a lady for company and shows that she is very helpfull. She helps Krzyś, her employee's grandson, to come out from illness and depression. She also has good influence on Lisiecki brothers, who had ideas for mean jokes.

Another one for my soul comfort. Although, despite recommendations, it was not better than the previous parts, I also found here all the components, with which I fell in love right from the first book. Family values, honesty, truthfulness. Ida's story wasn't as engaging as of the other female characters, but I loved the young siblings, Marek and Jarek as well as.. Lucyper :)
