I swear to God, this book should come with a care package – tequila, Valium, a stress ball and a punching bag. Just sayin’ !!
This review has no plot-related spoilers in it. Rating: 4.5 stars.
Honestly, when I was about to start reading this, I was just wondering where on EARTH could the story go from that point?? How could the mindfuck POSSIBLY get any deeper?
The facts were there. Actions had been taken. And I was absolutely positive that I hated Tony Rawlings. Like really, really hated!! I w...more
And the game continues.....
Actions and their consequences are just one side of a coin. The side which receives light.
On the other side, lying in the shadows is the ...TRUTH behind those actions which resulted in those CONSEQUENCES.
By the end of the first book we saw how Anthony Rawlings(Tony),the utterly cruel, conniving and manipulative devil played the game to perfection. He had his vengeance. And it appeared that as his last move,he disclosed all his pieces to Claire.
At last everything was clear....more
**Please bear with me. This review might just end up being a bunch of rambling. My brain has just been thoroughly screwed and I am unsure if I am capable of any coherent thought processes. I am also going to try and write a review without any spoilers. Both Consequences and Truth deserve to be read with no preconceptions or hints as to what is going to happen. Thank you.
These were my thoughts for the majority of the book:

Just like Consequences, the first part of this highly enticing, fascinating and mind-boggling series, Truth (again) left me speechless, shocked and just emotionally exhausted after finishing it. It also left me in awe of the amazing writer that is Aleatha Romig, for creating such a marvelous story that can make you feel so many emotions during such a short period of time.
After you've dealt with the Consequences, prepare yourself to fac...more

After pondering TRUTH and everything that has transpired in the Rawlings’ world, I’m not certain I am in any better frame of mind to review this book any more than I was a few days ago, but I am going to try. The second book in the Consequences series was so well written, so original; I loved the twists and turns. Just when I thought I had everything figured there was an unexpected twist.

Well, well, well this sequel DOES NOT disappoint! Truth was a fast paced heart pounding read. My opinions of old characters especially Antony Rawlings have changed…maybe I even like him. Yep, I know crazy but true.
Claire Nichols seeks revenge and the truth this time around. She has put on her detective hat and made some new friends. She has decided to figuratively play game of chess with Tony. This game between Claire and Tony gets pretty intense and definitely excit...more

I Must Tell The TRUTH!
Beware of the Spoilers Below…and Warning of Long Winded Ranting!
If you read my review for this series’ first book, Consequences, you know that I didn’t think favorably of it. In fact, I only gave it two stars because of how much I disliked both main characters, Anthony and Claire and I wasn’t inclined to move on to book two and subject myself to another read that left me feeling desola...more

Am going to keep this short and sweet.
This book had me on tenter hooks from page one, ever since my stomach has been in knots at the risk of getting an ulcer and I found myself grinding my teeth even when not sleeping, if I'd had a nail biting habit am sure I'd be doing that as well.
Do I need to say it? I loved, loved this book. It kept me engrossed to the point that I couldn't get on with my daily life, my emotions were all over the place and toward the end I didn't want the story to fin...more
The truth is rarely pure and never simple. -- Oscar Wilde
TRUTH is an intricately woven plot that begins with Consequences. It would be difficult for a new reader to understand the story without reading the first book. Therefore, before reading Truth, I highly recommend reading Consequences first. You do not want to miss out on a huge chunk of the plot and prior events that happen in Consequences!
Anthony and Claire have a complex relationship - which is a HUGE understatement. There is absolutely...more
This author brings out the worst in my reviewing abilities. Not saying it's a bad thing, she's just that good! I'm still speechless, confused, anxious, and tormented about the twists in this book. So I pose a question: If I liked Consequences enough to rate it 5 stars but loved Truth even more...how do I show a difference in rating? Do I lower Consequences to 4 stars? How can I give the proper rating to Truth, when my love for this book is NO WHERE NEAR how I felt about Co...more

I think I may need therapy.
Ms Romig is a masterful storyteller.
The roller coaster ride is far from over and I wish I had Convicted in my hot little hands right now!!
Claire is out of jail and on a mission to make Tony pay for his evil acts but Claire isn't as weak as she used to be in Consequences and Tony isn't as evil. You might feel that Claire is making a mistake and going back to the same old story and there are a few...more
Once I fully comprehend WTF just happened, I'll write a better, more thorough review. But, in lieu of one right now, I will just say "BRAVO, Ms. Romig.... BRAVO!"
Okay...so it's taken me almost 3 months to get back to this review. That's because that is how long it's taken me to not only wrap my mind around this book, but to fully understand WTF is going on... oh and I've read it again TWICE! It's just that good. I c...more
Truth. What a powerful word and one that describes perfectly this book.
In Consequences, Claire had to go through many terrible things and some blissful moments all in the hands of Anthony Rawlings. I finished that book hating Tony and everything that he represented, but in Truth we see another side of him that made me like him. I was so confused with my own feelings I had to stop several times and think about what I was experiencing, because truly I couldn't feel anything other than lo...more
I'm royally pissed right now! Even more so than I was after finishing Consequences. At least after Consequences I could still read this. Now I have to WAIT for Convicted to be released-and patience has NEVER been one of my virtues. What the hell was THAT?! The ending had me wanting to break something so bad. You can't just end a book like THAT and expect me to NOT become insane! Why would you do this Aleatha Romig?! Why did you have to end this book with another fucking cliff-hanger?!

"I am deeply sorry for one and four. I did provide you with an alternative destination for number four. I am not proud of two, but three would never have happened without it. I am not, and never will be sorry for three. And, for the record, I never lied about or pretended to love you. I didn't realize it at first, but I have loved you since before you knew my name. And, you forgot our divorce. I am sincerely sorry for that also.”
