I read this book to learn more about how to include romance elements in my own writing which is in the non-romance genre.

I really liked how this book was written and how all the plot elements fitted together nicely, no loose ends. The pace was good, the suspense was excellent, the twist in the tale I didn't see coming, and the depth of the relationship between the two main characters and the conflict because of what's happened to the heroine was both believable and kept me reading to see how it

Not my cup of tea, for certain. I didn't honestly care about any of the characters because they were all two-dimensional. Each chapter seemed to re-hash the emotional struggle of the the main characters ad infinitum, even after they seemed to have moved past it just paragraphs before. The 'twist' was predictable and was seen coming a mile away. I know that these books have their own dedicated audience that apparently really likes them, but I can't in good conscience recommend this book to anyone ...more
