Half-mermaid Tempest Maguire is trying to have it all: fulfilling her duties as second-in-line to the merQueen Hailana while periodically returning home to the California coastline to be with her family and longtime boyfriend, Mark.

Living under the sea and rebuilding Coral Straits is grueling work, while being back home reminds her of everyone she loves and misses. But whe

This was the final book in the Tempest series at Tempest is home with her father, brothers and Mark. Tempest knows that soon she will become merQueen whether she wants to or not. Nothing could prepare her for what is going on below the land.

Kona arrives and brings news that the merQueen has died and that Tempest has to return once again, only this time going back home may not happen anytime soon. Tempest decides to break up with Mark not wanting him to be caught up in this game with Tiamat.

If Tempest bitches in this one as much as she did in the last two, I'm going to scream my head off.

Check out more of my reviews at ***Singing and Reading in the Rain***!

After investing my time for two installments in the Tempest trilogy, I didn't think any harm would come of finishing it off, considering I highly enjoyed the first two books.

Unfortunately, I found so many flaws that I had not previously noticed. One of the more prominent issues was how awful Tempest was as a character. She tried to be strong and unflappable, but when it came down to it, she always let other people do her work

Tempest Revealed is the last book in the Tempest series by Tracy Deebs. I've never had much luck when it came to mermaid books, but I love how Deebs tackles underwater action and heartfelt romance. In this last installment, Tempest is torn between two worlds. Sea vs Land. Responsibly vs Heart. She must make the ultimate choice to become the merQueen and defeat Tiamat and her evil minions or be human with her family and Mark. Since the two worlds seem to collide, it's not like she can ha

Yawn.... That's all I have to say. This book was predictable. I was hoping she would choose Kona but went with Mark instead. For one thing she was already with him when the series began and I love it when books describe the meeting of two people who are suppose to be together. I knew when book 2 ended that there was no going back to Kona. This book was very disappointing and by the end I wanted to stop reading and chuck it.

SPOILERS AHEAD: you've been warned

Let me start with this, this book as well as the second book and probably the first has a lot of poor writing as far as plot development and successful character development in it. Not too mention everything was so cliche and obvious.

Where to start? How about the love triangle which seemed to bother people the most. This love triangle was probably the most poorly executed love triangle I've ever read about and that's saying something because I've read twiligh

Review originally posted on my blog: A Book Obsession..

Tempest is trying to do the impossible, live part of time on land with her family and her boyfriend, Mark, and still live up to her duties as first in line for the MerQueen Throne. It's isn't easy, but she's managing, if only barely. But all that comes tumbling down when the Queen dies while Tempest is away and her people are left without a queen. She rushes back to Coral Straights leaving her family and Mark behind, for good this time. But

I received this e-ARC from the publishers via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I was in no way compensated for this review.

I was totally psyched to get the approval from the publishers for Tracey Deebs' Tempest Revealed! This trilogy has been a fun one that definitely takes a fun twist to mermaids! Tempest definitely makes for one intriguing mermaid as she was born one but it's not until she turned seventeen that her mermaid powers and abilities come into existence and when they do it

Since I haven't read a well written mermaid based novel in a while, I was super psyched when I got accepted by Netgalley to review Tempest Revealed, the last installment in Tracy Deeb's exhilarating Tempest Series. There has been no shortage of mermaid/siren novels released in the past year, but only a few of them caught my attention, Tempest Rising obviously being one of them. As soon as I flipped to the first page, I knew it was going to be a keeper and eagerly waited for the rest of the serie ...more

Disappointing ;/ I expected this book to be about fighting Tiamak but no, there just had to be many "emotional moments"... Oh I love you but i can't be with you'cus it's soooo dangerous... <--this book was about that. Just like Twilight... yawn.
And it's not like I'm made of stone - this so called "emotional moments" were just flat, badly written, cliche, super obvious and didn't really do anything to help with the plot. And characters, no, people which I liked in previous books suddenly beca

BEFORE READING:
I really, really do not want her to be queen and go live in the water. Now I don't want to read it but I still will end up reading it. I hope she still visits land occasionally and they Tiamat dies. Why can't it come out sooner!!!

Spoiler!! I do not want anyone who has not read this book to read this. Taimat was just rude in this book ( taking over the Pacific) in the end she ended up with the man who I disliked. Mark

Tempest is back and and so is the action! I thought the most action was seen in book two of the series, but Deebs holds nothing back in Tempest Revealed! The heat level of the romance adjusts to the highest setting as well while still remaining clean (thank you Deebs!). Once I began reading this third installment in the series, I seriously (no pun intended) could NOT put the book down! My eyes were burning with fatigue yet the magic Deebs weaves with the story is undeniable and I was under the s ...more

More like 3.5. The books beginning was very slow and mainly consisted of Tempest whining about her life. I didn't like the final love story as Tempest fist dumped Mark for Kona and proclaimed her love for him but now she says that she was never reallly in love with him :| and the most frustrating thing is that she knows how dumb she was being was was doing nothing about it...
The ending was satisfying but did Tempest conveniently forget that she was going to out live Mark?
Over all it was still a

I have mixed feelings about Tempest Revealed. I mean, I liked it and all, and I've really liked the entire series, but I also didn't enjoy as much as I did the previous books in the series.

So, I'm going to start with the big battle between Tempest and Tiamat. I wanted more of a big battle and more conflict between them then what we got in Tempest Revealed. After reading it? My reaction was "that's it? where's the big battle?" I really was hoping for something more.

I'm not super-happy with Mark a

As with the other two books in the 'Tempest' trilogy, 'Tempest was fast-paced, action-packed, and fully immersive. I was sad to reach the ending of such an interesting series!
Tempest has just settled back into her home in California after choosing Mark (the predictable human) over Kona (the hot, sweet, and capable selkie prince) and is terribly happy (for some reason) when the story begins. However, her paradise is short lived. She has barely been home for a week when Kona (eek!) arrived, brin

Traveling back and forth between the sea and shore, Tempest is trying to have it all. She is trying to be there for her merpeople as the next in line for the throne under their aging merQueen, all while spending time with her family and long time boyfriend. She knows her happiness can’t last forever, and when Kona arrives to tell the news of the merQueen’s death, she leaves for the sea, this time forever. But returning to Coral Straights, she finds that ascending the throne isn’t as easy as she ...more

**WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST TWO BOOKS IN THE SERIES**

This series is absolutely one with lots of ups and downs for me. I really liked Tempest Rising, then I liked, but had some major issues with Tempest Unleashed, but all in all the storytelling did have me convinced to pick up Tempest Revealed, the last book in this series. And I'm sorta disappointed.

All the development Tempest had gone through in the first two books just seemed to vanish at times and she just (for lack of a bette

This is the final book in this series and I am kind of sad to see it end. I have to say that I this is a series that I really loved but this time around Tempest annoyed me in some parts of the book with the way she seemed to act so timid and not like herself. I liked her character because she was always so strong and self assured. I found that she second guessed herself a lot this time around and it just seemed so out of character for her. This time around we meet up with Tempest and learn that ...more

So I was reading Tracy Deebs' bio on Goodreads and apparently she also writes romance novels. Hmmm...now that I think about it, that makes total sense because there are some pretty hot and heavy innuendos spread throughout the Tempest books. If you've read them, you'll see what I mean.

Also...the cover. I'll admit that I'm disappointed. A lot of readers commented on Goodreads about the cover. The model just looks too young. I don't know if the models are the same on the first two covers, but they

I was disappointed by this book. Not only did she choose the guy I didn't like that much, but, Kona and Mark turned into jerks in this book. They wanted her out of the fighting even though it was her destiny to win this battle. To win a battle you must FIGHT. I honestly don't think she should have chosen either one of them! Find someone else who will support her decisions! Anyway all in all Tempest Revealed wasn't as good as the other books. Tempest still kicks butt though!

I loved the first book in the series, but I was a bit iffy on the second one. Luckily, this last book redeemed the series for me!

I know a lot of people hate Tempest, but I kind of love her. She is definitely whiny sometimes, but I think she has grown a lot throughout the series. I was very upset with the guy she chose at the end of the second book, but I have to say that (view spoiler)

Is it just me, or does this model look really young? I like how they're going back to the 1st cover like theme, because the 2nd books cover was just..eww. Too fake looking.
So everybody is talking about how they want her with Mark or Kona, but really, i think she'd be fine all on her own. You know, single lady power. I mean, how often does that happen in YA? The girl stands alone, strong by herself? Not often. I mean, if i had to chose somebody, it would be Kona, because, come on, l
