    <body><![CDATA[There's a lot of gentle weirdness in this book. I read it right before I read Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle, and I think Brautigan is trying to do something similar with his writing - but Brautigan takes real people into account and is harder to dismiss/easier to feel because of it.]]></body>
