Cancer.

Though it's not a four-letter word, it sure conjures up a lot of them. I won't say the first word that popped into my mind, and out of my mouth, when I received the diagnosis of stage III breast cancer - it's a bad word, my mother would be horrified. I can tell you it wasn't Whoopee!

Many other four-letter words quickly joined that first, shocked sentiment. Fear, sic

As as breast cancer survivor, this book was special to me. I wish it had been available when I was diagnosed. But it seems, Ms. Crowne and I were dealing with the BIG C at about the same time. Reading her book brought back a lot of memories. It was like sharing survivor stories with an old friend.

I laughed. I cried. And I applauded Ms. Crowne's courage. Throughout this dark ordeal, she hung onto her faith and humor and it shines through in this honestly written, heart-warming story of survival.

Wow. Thank you Mackenzie for writing this book. It was beautiful, heart-rending and strangely uplifting. I wish I'd had this book before my mother-in-law passed from breast cancer. I think it would have helped me help her in small ways and take a lot of the fear I felt away. Its always fear of the unknown that scares us most and this book addresses that with humour and charm as we follow one woman's journey from diagnosis, treatment and finally through to recovery.

Thank you for sharing Mackenzie

A Truly Inspiring Story!

Breast cancer. Whether it be a mother, a daughter, a sister, a co-worker, a neighbor, a friend of a friend, in some way, shape, or form breast cancer has unfortunately touched our lives.

It is an alarming moment to get that phone call. When my mother was told of her diagnosis of breast cancer years ago, it was devastating for her, as well as, for everyone in the family. Reading Mackenzie Crowne's story of survival brought back so many memories. All of the gamut of emotion

I'm just going to be honest. I didn't think I would like or be able to relate to this book. I'm young and healthy. I've never had Cancer. I've never had anyone I was extremely close to be diagnosed with Cancer. I figured this book would either be depressing or over-inspirational and sappy. I was WRONG! Sure, there were sad moments, and inspirational moments, but it was all written so well, that I felt like I was going along with Mac on her journey. I felt all her emotions as I read. I was so ...more

Where Would You Like Your Nipple? is incredibly honest, which is what we need! Mackenzie Crowne's voice leaps off the pages. Her writing is real, funny, fresh and entertaining. After reading her story, I feel like I know her. I wish I could give her a hug! She is a strong, brave woman offering insight, humor, truth and hope to women going through a breast cancer diagnosis. But everyone can benefit from reading this, whether they have cancer or not! I've had my own (different) set of health ...more

This was not quite what I was hoping it was. I wanted a book that would (1) encourage my friend who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and (2) help me understand what all she is going through. I'm afraid it isn't going to do the first effectively because she doesn't have a good support system, which is highlighted as so important in this book. It did the second thing only partially... I'm the sort of person who wants to become an expert in what I study, not just have a passing knowledge. ...more

I cried. I laughed. I cheered. Ms. Crowne holds nothing back in her retelling of her battle with breast cancer. This is a book made for gifting to those you love who are battling this disease. It's also a terrific gift to yourself to remind you of the indomitable human spirtit. Well done, Ms. Crowne, well done.

I enjoyed reading Mac's book about her personal struggle with breast cancer. Each page described an honest, dramatic, funny/sad and inspirational account of her journey from diagnosis to treatment to cure. Written as a guide for women going through such a nightmare, Mac's inclusion of the universal themes of struggle for health, support of friendship, and fear of dying means that men can also relate to her manual for survival.

I was often deeply moved by her inclusion of what her friends, family

Hi there. My name is Mackenzie Crowne.

I'm a a wife, mother and really young grandmother. Together with my high school sweet heart husband, a neurotic Pomeranian and a blind cat, I call Phoenix home because the southwest feeds my soul. My love of the romance genre has been a lifelong affair, both as a reader and a writer. A bout with breast cancer sharpened my resolve to see my stories shared with
