I received a copy of When Girlfriends Step Up by Savannah Page in exchange for an honest review.

When Girlfriends Step Up follows the tale of Robin Sinclair, a determined young lady embarking on a small publishing house in Seattle. Unlucky in love in the past, she is optimistic about her luck in the future and hopes to one day meet Mr. Right. But, so far he hasn’t turned up and her year only seems to be getting worse when she finds out that she is pregnant. Uncertain of what will happen, she turn...more

"But, I'll be there for you, when the rain starts to pour. I'll be there for you, like I've been there before. I'll be there for you, cause you're there for me too."
- I'll Be There for You by the Rembrandts - Friends Theme

Twenty-five year old Robin Sinclair works at a small publishing house in Seattle. She thinks that she is unlucky at love but believes that Mr. Right is still out there, and she has a great core of girlfriends to lean on ... and boy is she going to need them when she finds out...more

Savannah Page is now on tour with CLP Blog Tours and When Girlfriends Step Up. This book is just my cup of tea, and I’m so excited to see that there will be a series following the friends. The first introduces us to Robin, Sophie, Claire, Lara, Emily, and Jackie. We follow along with Robin, who is twenty-five and works in a small publishing house in Seattle. A colossal mistake almost cost her a friendship, but her life gets even more rocked when she finds out she is pregnant from a one-night sta...more

I received a copy for this novel from the author through CLP Blog Tours, in exchange for my honest opinion, and participation in the tour. Before I read this novel, I wanted to read the first novel in the series, but I ran out of time. Although I haven't read When Girlfriends Break Hearts, it didn't change my opinion of this novel, and I do plan on reading that book as well. The novel begins with Robin Sinclair trying to figure out a name for her latest painting, and we find out that she and her...more

Girlfriends that don't leave when you need them most. The ones who don't judge when you need a shoulder to cry. This book is about five female friends that support and cheer each other on regardless of the issues they are facing. Think Sex in the City but with a bit of suburbia living thrown in. A great page turner I couldn't put down for very long. Can't wait to read the next installment in the series.

Great book about the awesome relationship between college friends who have remained close after their undergrad years. Included is the drama when one girl who slept with another friend's boyfriend. Friendships get mended and an unplanned pregnancy develops.

A few paragraphs into the story I started counting cliched phrases as they popped up. When I reached number eleven before the first chapter was finished, I deleted the book and it's already disappeared from my mind. You can safely give this one a pass.

This was a very cute book! It is about the fabulous friendships that Robin and her friends have with each other! They are quirky, fun, energetic, and close! I would highly recommend this book to anyone, including my own friends!

Haven't finished yet and already the word "girl" is driving me crazy. No one uses it. "Girl, I sure missed you"

Finished it. Dialogue between the friends was phony. The author tried too hard.

This book is about Robin Sinclair. A 25 year old, working at a small firm. She has wonderful friends, even after she made a horrible mistake, and is now pregnant.

So far, not a bad read.

A nice story about friends who accept that people make mistakes and are able to work thru their problems.

The book was decent. VERY predictable but a fun, uplifting story.

I managed to read 15 pages of this brainless drivel.
Rita
Not enough depth.

In the beginning I really didn't care for Robin. She annoyed me for some reason but after a while she grew on me. I'm glad I finished this book. Cute read

Classic chick-lit which fulfilled all the things you expect from a chick-lit. A sweet friendship story for girls too, definitely more for girls. Want to get in a good mood? Go ahead and read it.

I’m a native southern Californian who studied and spent a lot of so-called “formative” time living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Now I live in Berlin with my German husband (who I actually met in Tulsa).

I'm also a compulsive chick lit reader and author. Fill a book with girly chat, designer handbags, baking (and eating) sweets, and maybe an occasional spring fling vaca in Paris and I'm one happy chick!
