Definitely a five star in my book. Oh wait . . .
Every once in awhile I just get in the mood for a good romantic suspense novel. I've been wanting to give Bellon's books a try for awhile now and was looking forward to starting this one. I was not disappointed, this was a fun read.

I thought this was well written and kept me glued to the pages. I liked Claire and Rafe and how they worked together. Both were likable characters and you can't help but hope everything works out so they can be together. It was pretty fast paced, taking place in abou

Plenty of action right from the start and it doesn’t let up till the very end. This series is about a hostage negotiation team but in this book they end up in the middle of a terrorist plot which move the action to Afghanistan.

The plot was intense and it was a good story with very likable characters. I have to say I saw from many reviews that this was listed as a clean romance book and didn’t quite know what that meant. Well after reading I would call this book 99% action/suspense and 1% romant
My first thought as I reviewed this book is that there was no time to breath. The storyline starts with a huge action scene, and then goes to the next big scene. Then something more exciting happens. Once again Julie has written characters that you like and care about right from the beginning. This doesn't mean that her characters are without flaws, but she gives many reasons to care about them. Rafe and Claire have real chemistry from the start. With everything that is happening in the story, ki ...more

One night, I couldn't sleep. I like to read to relax before bed. Its about 2am at this point. I opened All Fall Down to the front cover, where the author Julie (were tight like that, right?) wrote "I hope you stay up reading this one". I bust out laughing. So much for relaxing before bed.

I love it when a book jumps right into the story. Page one and you are interested and can't wait to read more. Rafe is a Navy Seal on medical leave and walks into his fathers office building hoping to run into a
Classic Julie Bellon suspense novel! An enjoyable, fast-paced read, with quite a few surprising twists and turns (I will forever be creeped out by 'Ring Around the Rosies').

Navy SEAL Rafe Kelly thinks he's taking a nice break to recover from a knee injury. Yet, he walks into the middle of a hostage situation where he is being held hostage by his best friend & comrade, Gary, who in turn is being controlled by a terrorist with a major vendetta.

Claire Michaels, the local detective, responds to

For fans of international romantic suspense, All Fall Down, by Julie Coulter Bellon is an exciting find! The hero and heroine are professionals, with convincing credentials that are easy to believe in and identify with. Every author faces the problem of leading her readers to “suspend disbelief” and buy into her story. With this genre, that is particularly difficult because of all the technical, legal, and routine details. For instance, the heroine is a hostage negotiator. However, Bellon has do ...more
4.5 stars... A lot of action in this one with a little romance!

Rafe Kelly is a Navy SEAL who is home recovering from a knee injury. He has been summoned to his family's business which is currently being run by his younger brother, Vince, while his father is recovering from a stroke. He's not excited to see Vince, but he is excited to see his Navy buddy, Gary Holman, who has been working at Axis since he was released from active duty because of injuries. His reunion with Gary is anything but happ

Multi-published author, Julie Bellon, has written another great international suspense!

If you enjoy suspense, romance, and twists and turns, then you'll enjoy All Fall Down. Bellon is masterful at writing suspense. From the first page until the last, and I mean the very last (because there is a twist I didn't expect and I actually said out loud, "Are you serious? How can this get any worse?") it is a roller coaster.

The book starts with a hostage situation--I will never sing "Ring Around the Rosy
This is a fast paced, exciting, romance with great dialog... Except for the time Bez quotes and American saying a little too well for a foreigner. It just seemed out of place. I also had a hard time believing they would let a cop tag along on a mission or that her father would allow it. Despite that, I am anxious to read more from this author.
This was a fantastic book! I was totally hooked from the beginning, I actually read this pretty much in one sitting because I couldn't put it down! The author does a masterful job of taking you from one intense situation (a hostage situation on page 1) to another intense situation, and so on which compels you to keep reading and turning the pages until suddenly it's 3 am and you didn't even realize it! Her characters are very realistic and her dialogue is very believable, two things that I alway ...more
All Fall Down is a quick moving story with suspense, betrayal, action and a bit of romance. Julie doesn’t wait to throw the reader right into the action.

The opening hostage scene on the roof was intense. For me it was the most suspenseful part of the story. I really liked both Claire and Rafe. They go through so much and I wondered if they were ever going to catch a break. I saw one twist coming, but I wasn’t sure how it would play out. One of my favorite parts was the first time Rafe meets Clai

I had no idea what to expect with the cover, and I was kind of nervous. However, I have to say, I loved this book, just loved it. I am not a huge huge fan of military based books, let alone military-esq type romances but this totally sold me. I was smiling through so much of the dialog between Claire and Rafe. They were just delightful together. While the 'twist' became evident a few pages before it was revealed, it didn't take anything away from the moment that it happened. I highly recommend t ...more
I LOVE it when a books starts out action-packed from page ONE and this book did just that!
Suspenseful all the way through with just enough romance to make you smile.
Clair is just trying to do her job AND help someone else who has gone through what she had to.
Rafe is just trying to save his brother AND make sense of the loss of his best friend.
Can they help each other? Who else can the trust? Read and find out :)
This book keeps you on the edge of the page as you have to keep turning to find out

Couldn't put it down!

Action packed from the beginning to the end. I literally couldn't put the book down. Definitely will read The next one!

WOW! That is my first reaction after reading this book. It grabs you from the first page. You will never think of the song Ring Around the Rosie the same again! This book was full of action and excitement. I could not put it down. I’m not sure if there really are Female hostage negotiators out there but Claire definitely fits the part! I really do believe that a bond and friendship like the one Claire and Rafe had would be formed in a situation like this. I loved this book! I just bought the nex ...more

WOW!! From the first chapter, this book drew me in with the fast paced drama and excitement! I loved all the main characters-Rafe, Claire and the others from the Hostage Negotiation Team. The story line was very intriguing, exciting, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Claire and Rafe work together in this international suspenseful book to take down terrorists and to keep certain secrets from being exposed. I can't wait to read more of Claire and Rafe's story in book 2 of the Hostage Negotiation T ...more

Claire, a hostage negotiator finds herself falling for a man held hostage by a man with a vest bomb (also a victim). The story leads them to Afghanistan to recover the victims's brother who has been kidnapped by a former US prisoner at Guantanamo who is involved with the drug trade and terrorism.

Several parts of the story bothered me. The first, was the quick attraction between Rafe and Claire...risking their lives for one another after only a few hours acquaintance. I found the constant inner

I love stories about military men, especially those involving a suspense element. Add in a strong heroine and I can't resist. This one, however, missed the mark.

This book did well moving the plot. The story spanned a handful of days and was packed with action. It seemed to be missing heart, however. Though there were glimpses of the characters, I felt we didn't get enough of their emotions to make me care about them. I didn't feel the distress Rafe felt about his brother because I wasn't sure wh
This book was about a hostage situation that led to terrorists. I loved the character development and their stories that you learned more about as the book went on. The writing was done well and it was easy to read and not too graphic for me, as some hostage situations could be.
(I won this book in a blog giveaway.)
Another great book by Julie Coulter Bellon. My daughter and I liked this book. A hostage negotiator is kidnapped along with a Navy SEAL. They are taken to Afghanistan. There are bombs involved, along with other dangers. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.

I read this book again. It is a great book.

There are many good things in this book. It is fast paced and action packed. There is travel, hostage negotiations, spies, military men, suspense, romance, etc.

Claire meets Rafe in a hostage negotiation situation. Rafe's friend has a bomb attached to him and they are struggling to find a way to disarm the bomb and have a happy ending to the situation. This leads to Claire and Rafe teaming up to discover who is behind the bomb. A new hostage situation takes them from the US to Afghanistan.

Claire Michaels' days are rarely routine. As a hostage negotiator, she deals with crisis on a regular basis. Normally they don't include Navy Seals or NSA secrets! Rafe Kelly is a Navy Seal recuperating from a knee injury in Afghanistan. When he is taken hostage by a friend who is being manipulated by Al Qaeda operatives, he and Claire find themselves in the middle of a serious situation.
There is a swirling controversy over the secrets and how many lives are at stake if they are in the wrong han

I won this book in the Summer Book Trek reading contest, and I'm glad I did. I've been reading the author's blog for years now, and I remember her fine-tuning the first page of this novel. It's about time I read it.

This is a fast-paced hostage crisis ranging from Connecticut to Afghanistan, with national and personal interests at stake. Claire and Rafe both have strong protective instincts, and the scars to prove it. Their romance is clean, if a bit sudden. I especially like the way Rafe listen

Keeps you on your toes

Full of action. Keeps you guessing until the very end. Suspense with a touch of romance. Glad to find a new suspense action romance series to read.
I always like some suspense and adventure with a romance story and this was a good example of all three elements. I see that this book won an award and deservedly so.
this is my favor series of julie's! I have enjoyed all the books in the series.
'All Fall Down' pulled me in from the beginning and did not let go. This book was a quick read for me. The storyline was well written and the way it played out was intense. Full of fast paced action, thrilling scenes, betrayal, suspense and it even had a budding romance. I loved the characters. Claire is an awesome woman. She's strong willed, humorous and very good at her job. Rafe is pure hotness, which could in part be the fact that he was a Navy SEAL. I can't wait to read more of this series. ...more
