A definite 4 and 1/2 stars grouping! Was even introduced to a new writer, Kim Falconer, whom I'm going to be reading more books by. : )

V IS FOR VAMPWOMAN by Kerrelyn Sparks
The novella, V IS FOR VAMPWOMAN by Kerrelyn Sparks is a great addition to the Love At Stakes series and a sheer delight to see Mikhail getting his story. I do wish this had been a full-length because I would have loved watching them fight, spar, tease, and fall in love with each other. Pam is a delight - shades of Lucy Arnaz d...more

Who knows that Mikhail, this big bad brute and Viking all the way can make her dead heart beatin...more

Vampires Gone Wild is a collection of 4 short stories. I have divided this review into individual reviews and rated each one as well. As an overall rating I give Vampires Gone Wild:

I have to admit (don’t hurt me) that I have not read anything by Kerrelyn Sparks before. That means I don’t know these characters or any back stories. I still loved it! The cha...more

Readers are in for major fun and entertainment when they dive into this compilation of awesome stories by four very talented and creative authors. I expected to find at least one story that was hit or miss but every one showcased why these authors are at the top of their game.

“V is for Vampwoman” by Kerrelyn Sparks.
I always know that when I open a book and see the word “malcontents” I am being thrust back into the world of the Dragonisti’s and what a fun time I am going to have. Even though “V” was a short story, I wasn’t disappointed in the least.

It was wonderful to see Mikhail Kirillov face the love of his life and finally conquer her. He’s been in love with Pamela since the first time he saw her on the D...more

This book was a collection of four short stories, and a new reading experience for me. I usually don't read collections, the stories tend to be short and lacking in details. However, the Kerrelyn Sparks story drew me in, and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this anthology immensely and discovered two new writers in the bargain.
V is For Vamp Woman - is Sparks contribution, and a great addition to her Love at Stake series. Mikhail and Pam made a great couple. The wacky Pam feels remorse for s...more

I generally like anthologies but I may not have been in the right mood for the first two stories...

V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks - This is typical silly Sparks fare. Prim and proper Lady Pamela, who has been a reoccurring character in the series as part of Roman's former harem, gets her HEA with 'barbarian' Mikail, when she decides it's time to be brave and join the fight against the Malcontents. - as I said I just wasn't in the mood for silly and I actually have found most of the harem...more

Vampires Gone Wild is an anthology, with works from Kerrelyn Sparks, Amanda Arista, Pamela Palmer and Kim Falconer.

V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks
This is a novella from the Love at Stakes Series. Pam, one of the original vamp harem members, has decided that she is no longer taking the cowards way out and will be battling the malcontents as VampWoman. Showing up in the middle of a battle in a spandex costume, Pam finally grabs Mikhail’s full attention.

A wonderful combination of humor with...more

I was going to review each short story separately but honestly they are so much alike it how I would review them that I changed my mind. These stories are all a little weird. All a little odd. All a bit stupid and all a bit interesting. Honestly I am not sure if I liked these stories but something kept me wanting to read all four stories. The problem was some seem part of an ongoing series so that was a bit confusing since I have not read these authors be...more

I chose this anthology because of the first novella by Ms Sparks. I have read all of the Love at Stake series and I have had such fun laughing and crying with her characters. It was a no-brainer for me to read this installment! The others included however, were all new to me, so here are my thoughts about them!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Summary:

Vampires Gone Wild brings together four paranormal romance novellas by Kerrelyn Sparks, Pamela Palmer, Amanda Arista, and Kim Falconer, authors and bloggers at Supernatural Underground.

Kerrelyn Sparks's demure Pamela and sexy vampire sidekick battle the Malcontents in "V is for Vampwoman." Kim Falconer's aqueous San Francisco vampires in "Blood and Water" want nothing from "landers" -- unless it's dinner, but that's until Stell...more

I'm a huge Kerrelyn Sparks fan so when I saw this book out, I had to get it. The story of Vampwoman was cute and heartwarming. I could certainly identify with Pamela wanting to be brave.

The other story that really was amazing was First Dates are Hell by Amanda Arista! I'm in love with the world she's created and am going to read more by this author.

I was very disappointed by Pamela Palmer's story. It was a unique twist and tied to another story or stories which could be the reason I was frustr...more

My comment is for Kerrelyn's story only. English is not my first language and it's hard for me to be interested in new series when I dont't read the books in order. I tried to read the stories from the other authors in the anthology, but I lost interest and couldn't finish them. Sorry...

That being said, I read the whole Love at Stake series (in order!) and it's the best paranormal romance series I've read. I loved every character in every book... well except Lady Pam. I could'nt stand her wannab...more

Huh. Well, I admit to not really seeing it on the Sparks tale. Seemed a bit...out of the blue I guess. Two characters I barely remember suddenly getting together, and the H confessing he's loved her for *2* centuries. Uh....

The Pamela Palmer entry was interesting; just not sure about that non-ending. And it looks like to find out what happens means committing to a multi-book series about a h who may or may not end up being part of a couple. IOW, it has UF written all over it, not my favorite.

V is for Vampwoman by Kerrelyn Sparks
This story is the reason that I purchased this book. I adore the Love at Stake Series, Kerrelyn Sparks keeps it fresh and her stories are pure magic.

The story of Lady Pamela and Mikhail is sweet and enduring. I was glad to see that Lady Pamela found the courage and ability to trust again. Mikhail has always been an outstanding warrior; it was nice to see the softer side of his character. We are reminded that the...more

I picked up this anthology because I find Kerrelyn Spark's, love at stake series such a fun read. Unfortunately, I found her story a bit on the silly side, actually it was just lame & a big disappointment.
Overall I found the other three stories unusual & refreshing with a different take on Paranormal. Kim Falconer's, Blood & Water was by far my favorite. I look forward to checking out other stories from all the authors, and once again found that anthologies are a great way to find...more

Vampires Gone Wild is an anthology made up of 4 vampire romances written by different authors. Generally it was an ok collection, I enjoyed every story but there was only one that I truly loved and that was First Dates are Hell by Amanda Arista.

This novella was alright; to be honest I think you need to have read more books from the Love at Stake series to truly get this one. It was written well but I couldn’t get into it. I felt like the characters had a bac...more

V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks

I love the Love At Stake series. Love it. (Whole reason I bought the book) The story was cute. It has all the qualities of one of the novels but sped up to a novella timeline. While not the pairing I would have imagined at first, they are kind of cute together.

V IS FOR VAMPWOMAN by Kerrelyn Sparks (Love at Stake, #13.5)

This was a fun addition to Spark’s Love at Stake series and, like the full length novels, there is no need for prior knowledge of this world and its characters. I really enjoyed Pam and her machinations to help out the guys as the not-so-mysterious VampWoman in her black spandex. The clever humor and unique worldbuilding that is the calling card of this series is ever present in this novella. I...more

V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks

As someone that totally loves Ms. Sparks Love at Stake series I have to say that this one felt really rushed. I know it is a novella but I would have loved it if this story was a lot longer and with more of a plot to it. Overall not a bad story but I have read better from this author. It is my favorite of the four stories found in this book.

I really enjoyed the first two stoies in this anthology, Kerrelyn has found a winning formula and this one was no different, it was a nice light hearted tale set in the Love at Stake series.

Pamela Palmers, I loved. Seriously it was darker than what I have came to expect from her but in this case it really isn't a bad thing!

Amanda & Kim were new to me authors and I'm really curious about the world Amanda has created, I'm curious enough to find out more. Need to hunt down some of her books....more

Had to download it for the Kerrelyn Sparks novella! Mikhail and Pam were so sexy and cute together. The best part about anthologies is that I get a chance to try out new authors. I liked the writing style of the other three authors so I will have to pick up some new books... oh darn ;)

I think I would have to say First Dates are Hell (Arista) was my favorite of the four stories and now I have ANOTHER series I'll have to read. I enjoyed both stories by Sparks and Palmer, but the Falconer one I didn't really get, it was just kind of creepy and weird to me.

3.5 Stars - V is for Vamp Woman by Kerrelyn Sparks. Wish this had been longer so the characters and their relationship were given more time to develop. Other than that it was about on par for a Love At Stake book.

The other stories didn't quite cut it for me.

Kerrelyn Sparks is the New York Times bestselling author of a series that mimics its sexy heroes by refusing to die. Now up to book twelve, the Love at Stake series spreads laughter worldwide in thirteen different languages. In spite of a tendency to nibble on necks or howl at the moon, Kerrelyn’s vampire and shapeshifter heroes are still wonderfully romantic.
