October 14: I've just about nailed my contribution to this anthology, which is good as it's due on the 22nd! lol Super fun to write. So thrilled to be published with these wonderful authors. Can't wait to read them all! Out Feb 12, 2013.

V is for Vampwoman

Mikhail Korollov had loved Lady Pamela Smythe-Worthing for 200 years, but afraid to court her since he think she's just woman full of vain and selfish. As for Lady Pam herself, she's done with being coward and go to Albania to help Mikhail and his comrade to battle Malcontent, the bad vampire. Who knows that Mikhail, this big bad brute and Viking all the way can make her dead heart beatin
A definite 4 and 1/2 stars grouping! Was even introduced to a new writer, Kim Falconer, whom I'm going to be reading more books by. : )

V IS FOR VAMPWOMAN by Kerrelyn Sparks
The novella, V IS FOR VAMPWOMAN by Kerrelyn Sparks is a great addition to the Love At Stakes series and a sheer delight to see Mikhail getting his story. I do wish this had been a full-length because I would have loved watching them fight, spar, tease, and fall in love with each other. Pam is a delight - shades of Lucy Arnaz d

V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks
This is a novella from the Love at Stakes Series. Pam, one of the original vamp harem members, has decided that she is no longer taking the cowards way out and will be battling the malcontents as VampWoman. Showing up in the middle of a battle in a spandex costume, Pam finally grabs Mikhail’s full attention.

A wonderful combination of humor with

Now finished with Blood and Water by Kim Falconer. It was a pleasant read, taking place in San Francisco in the early 1900s. Anyone who reads it needs to know some basic history, as it discusses the massive earthquake and how it's destroyed the town, which gives way to the iconic structuring of the Golden Gate Bridge. At the same time, any potential reader must keep in mind that there is a reason for every segment being written with a time and date stamp--but you won't find

Had to download it for the Kerrelyn Sparks novella! Mikhail and Pam were so sexy and cute together. The best part about anthologies is that I get a chance to try out new authors. I liked the writing style of the other three authors so I will have to pick up some new books... oh darn ;)

Vampires Gone Wild is an anthology made up of 4 vampire romances written by different authors. Generally it was an ok collection, I enjoyed every story but there was only one that I truly loved and that was First Dates are Hell by Amanda Arista.

Vampires Gone Wild by Kerrelyn Sparks:

This novella was alright; to be honest I think you need to have read more books from the Love at Stake series to truly get this one. It was written well but I couldn’t get into it. I felt like the characters had a bac
My comment is for Kerrelyn's story only. English is not my first language and it's hard for me to be interested in new series when I dont't read the books in order. I tried to read the stories from the other authors in the anthology, but I lost interest and couldn't finish them. Sorry...

That being said, I read the whole Love at Stake series (in order!) and it's the best paranormal romance series I've read. I loved every character in every book... well except Lady Pam. I could'nt stand her wannab
This review is only for the Love at Stake part of the anthology at this time.

I have to admit that Lady Pamela was never one of my favorite characters. I always found her rather annoying. I was happy with this little novella though, it let us see into the Lady Pamela that we never got to know before. Her story, like so many of the vamps, is rather heartbreaking. I love how she chose to overcome her feelings of inadequacy, and I love how she found her true love. Short of course, but oh so sweet!
Lady Pamela! Really??? I’m so disappointed! I’ve been waiting and waiting for Mikhail’s story and not only is his story a novella and super short but he gets paired up with one of Roman Draganesti’s ex harem girls who in earlier books seemed to have the personality of a moldy old wet mop. In earlier books, she was barely mentioned but when she was mentioned she was one of the snobby harem women with old fashioned views and who was really judgmental. Kerrelyn Sparks tried to explain why she was l ...more
The Window Seat
I chose this anthology because of the first novella by Ms. Sparks. I have read all of the Love at Stake series and I have had such fun laughing and crying with her characters. It was a no-brainer for me to read this installment! The others included however, were all new to me, so here are my thoughts about them!

This review is based on the story by Kerrelyn Sparks:

Lady Pamela has left the harem and is ready to strike out on her own. She is sick of always needing someone to rescue her and wants to be the person who does the rescuing. Therefore, she becomes "VampWoman". Disguised as her alter ego, Pam decides to help Jack, Zoltan and Mikhail in their fight against human traffickers. The only problem is they don't want her help. Mikhail goes so far as to teleport Pamela to his bedroom and threaten to tie h
Ok, I would have thought that Mikhael would have deserved a more sassy woman than Pamela and her wearing mask and cape was pretty cheesy, but once I got into that story I was actually disappointed when it stopped. I would love to see their dynamics work out in their covert operations. The chemistry between those two could really work.

The concept of a parallel dimension Vamp City is good. I liked this story.

Loved this one "First dates are hell" and so hope to read more about Valiance and Esme.

I bought this anthology cuz l ADORE Pamela Palmer. I had never read the other three authors in the book, but l very much enjoyed all four stories. Enough to hunt down the series that the other stories showcased! Was some good stuff! Check it out. You won't be disappointed!
V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks was Lady Pamela and Mikhail's! What a funny, great sweet book. I totally adored and loved it. I can't wait for the next one. This book was short, wanted more :( but I'll wait for Dougal's. Love your world you create Kerrelyn!
I only read the sparks one

Basically it's cheesy and I feel Mikhail was left out of a bigger novel he deserved. You know nothing about him other than a cursory overview of his character. And vampwoman?? Really?! God awful

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

I know this was just a novella, and part of a larger anthology with other authors, but wow, could it have been more rushed? I don't think so. I've read novellas before that are way more developed so the length of the story can't be solely to blame. They went from "nice to meet you" to "I'll love you forever" in like 5 pages. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but not by much. Also, as a coven master, I felt like Mikhail deserved a full length novel. He's an important character and he deserved more of a sto ...more
I read this for the Kerrily Sparks novella but if I had stopped there I would have given it a 2 1/2. I actually liked the two authors I didn't know, Amanda Arista and Kim Falconer, quite a bit. Pamela Palmer's story surprised me as I was usually disappointed in her Feral Warriors.

2 1/2 stars for Kerrilyn Sparks Vamp Woman

I think she tried to do too much here. It started kinda corny and cute. Then it didn't go right to get it on the right track and instead just ended there, on the right track. If
V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks (4 stars)

This was the story I wanted to read out of this anthology. I love the series and haven't really found any characters I dislike in the bunch. This troy follows Pamela as she further tries to find her more modern self. In catwoman style, she whips up a costume, works on her fighting skills, and ends up throwing herself into the action. Unbeknownst to her, the very viking-like and large warrior (Mikhail) has had his eyes on Pamela for a long time. Thes
I generally like anthologies but I may not have been in the right mood for the first two stories...

V is for VampWoman by Kerrelyn Sparks - This is typical silly Sparks fare. Prim and proper Lady Pamela, who has been a reoccurring character in the series as part of Roman's former harem, gets her HEA with 'barbarian' Mikail, when she decides it's time to be brave and join the fight against the Malcontents. - as I said I just wasn't in the mood for silly and I actually have found most of the harem

Quick & Dirty: This book is filled with 4 novellas and gives you the opportunity to get a sneak peek into three different series.

Opening Sentence: As a man of few words, Mikhail Kirillov never stated the obvious.

The Review:

The first novella is V is for VampWoman, which was a cute read and allowed me to jump back into the Love at Stake series. I have only read How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire and Vamps and the City, so I have a vague recollection of our

V IS FOR VAMPWOMAN by Kerrelyn Sparks (Love at Stake, #13.5)

This was a fun addition to Spark’s Love at Stake series and, like the full length novels, there is no need for prior knowledge of this world and its characters. I really enjoyed Pam and her machinations to help out the guys as the not-so-mysterious VampWoman in her black spandex. The clever humor and unique worldbuilding that is the calling card of this series is ever present in this novella. I

Vampires Gone Wild brings together four paranormal romance novellas by Kerrelyn Sparks, Pamela Palmer, Amanda Arista, and Kim Falconer, authors and bloggers at Supernatural Underground.

“V is for Vampwoman” by Kerrelyn Sparks.
I always know that when I open a book and see the word “malcontents” I am being thrust back into the world of the Dragonisti’s and what a fun time I am going to have. Even though “V” was a short story, I wasn’t disappointed in the least.

It was wonderful to see Mikhail Kirillov face the love of his life and finally conquer her. He’s been in love with Pamela since the first time he saw her on the D

Kerrelyn Sparks is the New York Times bestselling author of a series that mimics its sexy heroes by refusing to die. Now up to book thirteen, the Love at Stake series spreads laughter worldwide in thirteen different languages. In spite of a tendency to nibble on necks or howl at the moon, Kerrelyn’s vampire and shapeshifter heroes are still wonderfully romantic.
