The book is basically an infomercial for Christie's presidential campaign. Christie has has strong political ambitions since childhood. It is a good review of both his good points and what would be considered by professional politicians as his minor sins. A read for anyone who wants more input on the background of Christie but like any biography of a political politician, read with a grain of salt.

Typical corrupt politician with a few sparks of sanity thrown in. Would never get my support for president. He obviously doesn't comprehend the 2nd amendment very well.

“Straightforward.” That’s how his own father describes his son, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. “What you see is what you get.” That’s how Christie describes himself. Authors Bob Ingle and Michael Symons characterize the blunt talking Christie as “a guy whose national profile was built in part on scorching reporters and teachers, then posting the videos online, whose idea of compromise involves extracting concessions from Democrats on issues important to him but not giving an inch on their a ...more

it's more a newspaper account of the things he has done without getting his beliefs and motives. I'd say it is not an endorsement by the authors as some have said on Goodreads.

More like a 3.75. It was good, informative. I always prefer autobiographies, but this was a good biography.Illuminating.
Brendan

Book was very interesting, much of what have heard over the years as have listened to the reporter, Bob Ingle over the radio. Did enjoy learning about Chris Christie's earlier childhood and his life growing up. Lots of details in the book and a good reference book if certain information was needed on his life. I am more into fiction books at the moment so found it harder to take all the details.

I found this a very interesting book. I've always enjoyed the entertainment value of people like our Governor. Examining his history as a US Attoney and his relationships with colleagues and family made for a quick read. It was sometimes diffecult keeping track of the various people who played a role in his political career but always interesting.

Interesting book about a very interesting guy. Chris Christie definitely tells it like it is in every situation that he is in....maybe more politicians should be as honest as he is each day.

It was very interesting in the beginning and end but like a lot of biographies the middle didn't hold my attention.
