The War Game written by Crystal Black is set in a futuristic time in America. Crystal Black does a very well job creating her main character Pearl. Through her eyes you meet a variety of interesting people who interact with Pearl throughout the book. Crystal Black is a talented author and shows her unique writing style with her first novel The War Game. I really liked this book it was a distinctive dystopian without a happy ending. My heart goes out the the characters and all that they suffer through to get to the end of the game.
