Being a writer, there are two things I envy from Michael O’Gara on “Sword, Cross and Crown.”

1. He grabs you by the throat on the very first page of his book; he captures your interest and he never, ever lets go. He jumps right into the action and you are sucked up into the middle of an exciting adventure.
2. At the same time, he is able to fill you on the background of a very complicated story without sounding artificial. Little by little you learn all the details you need to know in a very nat
