Hayley and Nick have been best friends since college. After nine years together, their friendship is comfortable and sweet. As Hayley maneuvers her way through one bad relationship after another, Nick is always right there, picking up the pieces of her shattered heart. When Hayley finally realizes that Nick is more of a boyfriend than her “real” boyfriends have ever been, she finally opens her eyes and heart to the one person she truly can’t live without.

It was perfectly sweet short story <3 A bedtime smut fix!

Nick and Hayley have friends for seven ages and yet they are can't realise that they love each other and say it out loud. They become jealous for sure when each other date other people. Their banter and care for each other is so sweet.
Thereby, I was so happy when they finally got their heads together!
Ooo yeah, steam factor is there! Like I say, smut fix for bedtime *winks*

Morning Glory is a short romance from S.L. Scott and it immediately pulls you into the story of Hayley and Nick. Friends to lovers is a favorite of mine, and Ms. Scott hits a home run with this short story.

Hayley has just been dumped by her boyfriend Alejandro... someone who she was hoping for that fairy tale ending with.

The person who's been with her through thick and thin, since the first day of college, has been her best friend Nick.

With the simple statement from Nick "I'm thinking about as

I received an ARC of this story and what a lovely way to start the day. Morning Glory is a simple, sweet, sexy, short story from S.L. Scott about the realisation of what true love is. And how you can miss what’s right in front of you when you're out searching – instead of simply falling.

Nick and Hayley met in college and have been friends from day one. But being best friends kept them from what they're meant to be, or has it? It’s obvious Nick wanted more from their relationship from the beginn

This was a cute and very quick read that will appeal to readers that like a "best friends to lovers" theme. It's a perfect read if you need something quick that won't make you cry, won't make you think, and won't break the bank.

I am a sucker for this theme. There are great friends to lovers stories, okay friends to lovers stories, and then really horrible friends to lovers stories. This definitely fits into the middle category. There wasn't enough time spent with the characters to really get inv

If you are looking for a fun, angst free, romantic, light read Morning Glory is the right choice for you!

Morning Glory starts by jumping head first into Nick and Hayley relationship as friends when Nick tries to console Hayley from her most recent breakup.
As the story moves a long at a quick pace you can see that this two characters mean a lot to each other but Hayley is blind to see what is in front of her although she voices her feelings from time to time from attraction, to jealousy; still d

Morning Glory is a sweet short story about Nick and Hayley, two best friends that haven't quite seen what's been in front of them the entire time. It's a quick and easy read, very fluid. Overall, I give it four stars.

I loved their dynamic, the chemistry between them lovely. The dialogue and banter was natural. Basically everything between Hayley and Nick was absolutely wonderful. It had sort of a Sweet Home Alabama feel, with the characters fighting and trying to ignore what obviously exists str

Just good friends...or could it be more?

I found myself reading this in the Doctors surgery of all places, listening to the Carpenters and willing Hayley to open her eyes and finally see what she's missing!

Adored Nick with a passion, I only wish I had a best friend like him!

A beautifully told story that will make you feel a whole scale of emotions but ultimately leave you with the biggest grin on your face!

Really enjoyed this novelette.

Where to start without giving everything away? Beautifully written in a way that gives you tingles and makes you smile like a fool as you go along. The story has you rooting for Hayley the whole way and stopping to close your eyes and just... sigh--because the dialogue is just so damn sweet. The rating meter should be hearts instead of stars for this book. Five hearts. I will definitely be reading this story more than once. ...more

I had the privilege of receiving an ARC of this lovely little novelette courtesy of the author.

Morning Glory is a fun, short romance about two best friends, Hayley and Nick. The met in college and fell into that comfortable space that very good friends often do. Except in this case, they are ridiculously close... so close in fact they're practically co-dependent and pseudo supportive but really jealous when the other dates. It's so clear from the outset that these two are SO much more than frien

Best friends who're looking for love, Nick and Hayley have been closer than close for nine years. Nick even keeps a drawer of clothes at her place. He's the kind of guy that you grab and hang onto with both hands. Although Hayley acknowledges that Nick is the perfect guy; gorgeous, caring, sweet, and sexy, he's been her best friend since college. She's never wanted to risk their friendship by starting a relationship with him. Nick has other ideas but he won't pressure Hayley and risk her running ...more

I had the pleasure of reading S. L. Scott’s newest novelette Morning Glory. It tells the story of Hayley and Nick who have been friends since the first day of college and find that often what you spend so much time searching for is right in front of your nose the entire time!
As always S. L. Scott stories are well written and fun to read. I love the back and forth between the characters. Where ever they are work, a bar, hanging out you just feel like you are right there with them! Even in the sho

What a gem of a short story!!! Morning Glory is all about opening your eyes to what's always been there in the first place and putting your heart on the line while taking a risk on love. Nick and Hayley go through silent and awkward moments while they sort out their true feelings. This is a sweet and charming friends-to-lovers story you'll want lose yourself in. A short and sweet novella!

Hayley and Nick have been best friends since college but do they want to be more? That is the main premise of the story.

(I kept wondering why, if they are so close, did something not happen earlier between them. I have to remind myself it is just a story! Lol!

Overall a nice light read, it made me feel happy and smile but because it is short, I didn't feel any real emotional attachment to the characters.

That said I'm glad I took the time to read this novella, sometimes s

I loved this sweet story. You kinda know how it's gonna end from the get-go, but that didn't make the story any less enjoyable. I wanted to smack Hayley and Nick and tell them to wake up and just be together. The heartache wasn't long-lived and you got just enough drama to be sad for a moment. You could almost see the lights going on in their heads when they finally realized how they felt about each other after all those years.

Quick, fun and sexy read for sure.

S.L. Scott knows how to write swoony boys. *sigh* I really enjoyed this, even though Hayley was a little annoying at times and couldn't see what she had right in front of her. My only real gripe about this story is that Hayley's clothes seemed to disappear by magic at the end. One minute she's in her underwear, next minute... not. That's a handy talent to have! But I loved it. Great cover, too.

LOVED this! I quickly realized what the story was about and what was probably going to happen but these were great characters and they quickly sucked you in. You really like them as best friends from the start and root for them throughout! I hope S. will consider a sequel haha.. Left me wanting more! ;)
