If you've read this series this far, you've come to know what to expect. H wolf meets h wolf, they recognize the mating bond and wham, bam, thank you ma'am, they're together. Well...throw all that to the wind with this book. Yes, the H is a wolf but hello... the h is a cat, a cougar to be exact and things don't go as planned...not at all.

Mark is our resident wolf and he lives in a landmark paddle wheeler that's been in his family for a while. Tessa is our cougar out to make something of

Tessa is so lovable from the start. She’s a cat shifter and has some big plans for her life that include buying the PEFECT house to turn into a B&B. The house is currently owned by wolf shifter Mark and he’s not selling. But he does come up with an interesting alternative. He’s in need of a new career path and makes Tessa an offer she can’t refuse: partner with him on the B&B venture, he’ll provide the labor and be the handyman and

Another original story in the Granite Lake world! First of all I love that this is a wolf/cat couple. The mixing of these two is always interesting, especially when their animals are so much a part of their personality.

Tessa Williams is Keri’s BFF (from WOLF LINE). She’s been wanting to do something for a while and now the perfect opportunity and idea comes into her hands. She can open up a B&B on the outskirts of the Granite Lake pack. She has this all mapped out with the perfect property

Tessa Williams is wanting to start a venture where she will be proud of her hard work and effort and she has the perfect plan, converting a landlocked paddle wheeler into a B&B. Taking her to Haines, Alaska Tessa only hopes the owner accepts her offer especially as a cat shifter in wolves territory.

Mark Weaver can’t sell the wheeler without losing it completely, he has a plan though partnering up with the person who came up with the idea of the B&B. Mark is surprised though when he meets

Wolf Nip is a sweet PNR. You won’t find any action or spine tingling suspense, nor will you find a lot of tension or complication between the H/h. What you will find is a really nice couple who do belong together despite Tessa writing off Mark as mate material right off the bat and let’s not forget about grandpa, he is so adorable and adds so much to the story.
With the blurb giving out so much I won’t go into anything else. As I read this book I found it an adorable, sexy and fun read.

Even though this is the 6th installment in the Granite Lake Wolves series, this book was my first trip into Vivian Arend’s werewolf universe but, it most definitely will not be my last! I enjoyed the way that the main couple’s animal traits are worked into their personalities because it made for some incredibly quirky characters and also a few funny misunderstandings given that Tessa is a cat and Mark is a wolf. Great writing, a playful story and sizzling chemistry make W

Tessa wants to break out of the family business and create something of her own, she doesn't have the sea legs to work on their cruise ships but she spotted the perfect location for the B&B she would love to open. Vivian Arend is a master at writing shifter stories, not to mention short shifter stories. This is so important to mention because I don't think that everyone has the unique ability to write a believable, fun and entertaining love story in such a tight word count. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and especially loved the way that Arend was able to infuse her characters with so much personality. It simply makes her characters shine in a way that makes them stand out and become memorable.

Do cats and dogs Mix? Well who knows if wolves and cougars will. Tessa has realized that the sea life isn't for her so she wants to have a B&B in the town where her Werewolf best friend is living. Yet Tessa will be a bit of an outcast, not that it has ever really bothered her, but being a cougar surrounded by wolves won't be easy. The place she wants to buy is owned by a wolf, named Mark. I've actually only read the first two books in this series, and then I jumped to number 6. I didn't feel like I was lost not having the read the other books in the series, although I was reminded that I might want to go back and read the rest of the series. I enjoy a good sexy shifter story now and then and this series has delivered so far from what I've read.

I loved Wolf Nip, the newest story in the Granite Lake Wolves series from Vivian Arend. I actually read the story before this one right before buying Wolf Nip, and was glad I did because it reminded me that we had already met our heroine, Tessa, and how much I loved her in Wolf Line. She's a hyper, intelligent, creative cat, who's lifestyle is much more casual than the wolf who claims she's his mate. He agrees to a business proposition to keep her close as he figures out what to do.

The Granite Lake Wolves series is a light paranormal romance series filled with sexy shifters, light humor, and touching love stories. WOLF NIP continues this tradition and is a cute, quick, almost novella length story. A secondary character from the previous book, cat shifter Tessa, finds love this time with wolf Mark.

The lack of danger or tension beyond some small relationship differences left me wanting something more from this story besides two ador

Sometimes a romance book doesn’t need a mystery, a villain, or a puzzle of any kind to figure out. Sometimes all it takes is romance and love, and in this case of Vivian Arend’s latest release in her Granite Lake Wolves series, that’s the perfect thing.

Tessa wants to make it on her own, create something that doesn’t fail. No insult to her successful family. So she heads to Haines, Alaska, where her dream of owning a B&B from the ground up is about to come to fruition. She’s smart enough to c

While I have very much enjoyed Arend’s Granite Lake Wolves, this one fell a tad a short for me. It had nothing to do with the characters or anything that happened. It wasn’t even the story. I just felt there was something missing. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but the entire time I felt like something was off, and because of it I felt almost cheated in a way. Overall it was still a good story.

Tessa doesn’t do anything half way. From the moment she saw the old paddle wheeler her mind started planning the successful Bed & Breakfast she knew it could become. She had so many ideas her own brain couldn’t keep up. Starting the process and offering to buy it was simple and well received by the owner so she heads up to Haines, Alaska immediately after receiving his response, ready to start making her dreams come true.

In a Nutshell: Solid shifter novella with a low-drama romance that was well balanced with emotional and sexual intimacy.

Why I Read this Book: I’ve enjoyed Vivian Arend’s other books so thought I’d try this one.

What I Liked: I like gentle Mark and fun Tessa. These aren’t the most alpha of shifters and I love them for this normal, every-person quality. Tessa’s humor and wit is a nice balance for the more serious Mark. My heart melted a little at Mark giving Te

The Granite Lake Wolves Series has been a guilty pleasure at how just much fun I have reading this series. The packs are territorial, but they have cruise ships so the shifters can just shift and enjoy their vacations. It’s kind of funny and quirky all at once.

I really am sorry to say this, but this series is starting to lose altitude in great reading. I really like this series but this particular book was not up to par with the others in this series.

I adore this series and this entry was a fun addition to it. We have glimpses of our past pairs and a fun new entry in to the Granite Lake pack.

Tessa is just wanting to do something that shows she can complete something and contribute. I got the initial impression that even though she is a responsible adult she feels like a failure in life. She's flighty and has her "Squirrel!!" moments but means well when she gets started. She has decided to try to purchase a paddleboat that she can then make i

This is the latest Granite Wolves novella, and I had a blast reading it.

I enjoyed reading about Tessa and Marks romance. From their first meeting, when Mark's wolf says ” Mate!” and Tessa balks. It was intresting to see the differences between wolves and cats, and how their animals tried to nudge them into mating.
That said, I admired Tessa for her strength to hit the brakes, and insisting that they got to know each other first.

This is the sixth book in Vivian's Granite Lake Wolves series and has Tessa Williams as the feisty heroine. In Wolf Nip Tessa is a cat looking to strike out on her own from the family business. The perfect spot to set up shop is a paddle wheeler in Alaska, except the owner is refusing to sell. Said owner turns out to be her mate … and a wolf! This series is so addicting.

When you pick up a Wolfie book by Vivian Arend you know you are in for a hot, romantic read.

Wolf Nip was everything I expected it to be:
Fun, romantic, and delicious.

I really liked the difference between how Tessa looks at mating and how Mark experiences it. It gave depth to both the romance and the world Arend created. I loved reading how Tessa and Mark grew closer together.

I did have one problem with this story I will confess. At a certain moment Tessa gets some wel

I just found Tessa too annoying at times. Also, it was never fully explained why she was how she was. It was hinted at times that there might be a reason for it but it was never explained.

It was a good read, a typical Vivian Arend book. Though it did not end up being a favorite. I kinda suspected this since I've had the ebook since it was published and just got around to reading it now. There was something subconsciously telling me that I wouldn't like it as much as the first four books of this

Enjoyed this one, though I do wish that the book had gone more into the differences about cat shifters. It seemed that she brushed the surface, but there was so much more that could have been explained.

Tessa wants to buy the paddle wheeler and turn it into a B&B but there is a few issues and won't be easy.
Mark owns the paddle wheeler, and he knows someone is interested in buying it, but the is he can't sell it.
So he offers a counter-proposal for it, he would still be owner but Mark would also be a partner in the business.
When Mark finally meets Tessa, he knows he has finally met his mate.
Tessa is a cat and they mate differently. Also she wants to be in love before they mate.

Vivian Arend in one word: Adventurous. In a sentence: Willing to try just about anything once. That wide-eyed attitude has taken her around North America, through parts of Europe, and into Central and South America, often with no running water.

Her optimistic outlook also meant that when challenged to write a book, she gave it a shot, and discovered creating worlds to play in was nearly as addictiv
