First of all, I'm not really much into poetry. The extent to which I read epic poems can be summarized by Dante's Divine Comedy (edited by Ciardi). (A 5-star experience).

I have read Mr. Rosenbaum's How to Enjoy the Boring Parts of the Bible. (Also a 5-star work. Good luck obtaining a copy!) I was impressed with the book that was an overall great combo of fun and scholarship.
