A year after they saved each other’s lives in The Druid Stone and eager to return a little bit of intensity to a sex-life that's been put on the backburner, Cormac and Sean book a weekend in Galway with no limits and no distractions. Cormac has a few ideas on how to spice things up and the bag full of kinky surprises he needs to make them happen: a spreader bar, a brand ne...more

Think BDSM can’t be romantic? THINK AGAIN, my friends.
I read it, and then I read it again. Because OH. MY. GOD. *~*swoon*~* [thud]

Cormac knew he should pull back, delay this, let himself savor Sean’s submission just a little longer, but the truth was — the truth was — even though Sean gave him the drive to be strong, he also gave him the permission to be weak. And Cormac was weak. He was torturously, deliciously weak.

~ If you have read The Druids Stone ~ this is a must read ~ this is hot ~ this is what we wanted ~

I was so excited about this short, (basically a PWP - porn without plot) which seems a bit daft really, for a book which consists of 32 pages! But. If you have read The Druids Stone and have had the pleasure of meeting Sean and Cormac - you will be only too aware of the abundance of sizzling sexual tension that was so blatantly conspicuous in this wonderful tale. Holee whatever. Hot, hot, hot. I received my copy for a review, so I guess I'll have to be a bit more elaborate than this. Gimme a bit to redirect blood flow and resume brain activity. BRB
Soooo, seriously now:
During the year after events in The Druid Stone life has settled a bit too much for Cormac and Sean, so they decide to spice things up with a kink weekend in Galway.
There's just enough intro to give a minimum of information and warm-up, then the authors dive right into the good stuff, mean...more

“For the voyeur, fiction is what's called going all the way.” – William H. Gass
Well, seems I’m a story-bound voyeur, i.e. – “an obsessive observer of sensational subjects.” Who knew? Okay, I confess… I knew a little bit. Okay, a lot bit. But please, Cormac Kelly and Sean O’Hara most definitely qualify as sensational subjects, so why, in the name of all that’s sexy as hell, would I want to look away?

For those readers who love to revisit their favorite couples, Galway Bound offers you that and so much more. After the life and death circumstances of the previous book in this series, The Druid Stone, life has become rather blasé for lovers Cormac and Sean. A return visit to Galway is just what they need to rekindle the flame and my oh my how things do burn! What follows is one truly scorching extended scene of heavy duty bdsm play that set my eyes on fire from its intensity. Cormac is strong w...more
Overall
While this short story stands alone as a sexy excursion into BDSM, it will be better for readers to have read The Druid Stone if they want an emotional attachment to the characters. For readers just looking for kinky sex, this will work nicely.
Review
An unabashed porn-without-plot tale, "Galway Bound" still has character development, particularly the emotional connection between the two men and Sean's boundaries (and, actually, Cormac's). There was just enough depth to give the story flavo...more

A very good sexy short story sequel to The Druid Stone. Set one year later, Cormac and Sean are a little more settled into their routine, almost too settled, and Cormac uses their first anniversary for a getaway to Galway to stay at the same hotel they had been at a year before. This time, they’re testing both a fantasy and themselves as they see how far they can push each other and trust each other.

So the authors warn up front this is PWP, and I knew that going in. Thus I was fine with that. There's no character fleshing in this story. It is assumed you have already read their story in The Druid Stone before picking this up. This is revisiting those charaters in an "I'm in the mood to read these guys in a BDSM scene" way.
The story is one long sex scene of Cormac pushing some limits on Sean, and it is pretty intense at times. The authors do not revisit the details of their past history, so...more

Couple of disclaimers - I didn't read the first book in the series prior to doing this review and Jen did a review of the first story in the series (so check that out). Now that being said, I was warned that this short story contained - D/s, impact play, edging/orgasm denial, bondage, toys, light voyeurism. Heed those warnings folks cause they're serious because I dare say that some of it made me a little uncomfortable.

A bonus erotic catch-up with Sean and Cormac whose relationship developed in the frenetic urban fantasy The Druid Stone. The premise is delightfully simple and to the point - the now established couple take a weekend away in Galway to explore the emerging BDSM dynamic in their sexual life a little further. The action is intense, loving and kinky - my only complaint was that it ended all too soon!
I bought this short story on All Romance eBooks. I'd read and enjoyed the full-length novel Druid Stone, and it was great to visit with Cormac and Sean again. I love these guys. In this story, we don't get the magic, myth and mystery of Druid Stone, we get a little glimpse into the heroes' sex lives. And what a hot, hot glimpse it is. As George Takei says, "Oh, myyyyy..."

A follow on read from Druid Stone. This is much shorter and a contemporary BDSM romance read rather than the folklore/fantasy read that was Druid Stone. As such it could be read standalone but does give DS readers a glimpse of Sean and Cormac's relationship one year on.
They head to Galway City to celebrate their 1 year anniversary and to explore their fantasies that were blink-and-you-missed-it alluded to in DS.
So a totally different read, And enjoyable for those differences!

PWP! And some sap. But it's good sap so that's alright.
This darker passion between Sean and Cormac was hinted at in the previous The Druid Stone and is welcome but I think I would have enjoyed it even more within the setting of a full story. Yet, this is...decadent, voyeuristic, peepersmexic fun. We are flies on the wall of their passion as Cormac leads Sean in some very intimate edge play.
This may be a porn without plot short story but it is very much a porn with care and love and deep characterisation story. It is Cormac's inner monologue that frames this night spent in a Galway hotel room with his partner Sean. I think of it is an epilogue that shows the relationship HEA achieved in Druid Stone.
