Not as good as the previous ones..............

This one was kinda boring, nothing super important happened in it. But I think towards the end I started getting vibes that it was going to start getting dramatic again, so hopefully the next one will pick back up! Either way I was entertained, I loved seeing more of Serena's brother Eric in this one (swooooon). I'm also looking forward to the infamous Jenny Humphrey scandal/break down/whatever it is that inspires her to leave, mainly because I love the sister series to this, but also just becau ...more

And what bothered her, what made her feel like crying all over again, was that now they were broken up, she had no one to love, and no one to love her. Not that she didn't love almost every boy she'd ever met, and not that every boy in the world didn't totally love her. It was impossible not to.

Seriously, what is it about this series that makes it so readable even though the characters are kind of terrible? It feels like we ar

In the novel "I Like it like that" by Cecily von Ziegesar she creates a intriguing mystery. In a circle of friends and unidentified "gossip girl" makes a blog revealing secrets and keeping her subscribers in the loop. Ziegesar uses the "gossip girl" to carry on the plot and create fuss.
At a busy time time in characters lives, because of picking schools, a blog appears with a gossip girl. She writes all the latest drama in her friend circle and even tells embarrassing things, or where the pers

In the book, “I like it like that a Gossip girl novel”, what kept me reading was the interesting, catty, back stapping, teenage stories. I picked this book because I started watching the series on TV. And it got me interested and I wanted to see the differences. The portion of the book that was my favorite was the part where Jordy and Vanessa were on a date. The book interested me with the sneaky, evil planning, and back stapping things girls do behind even their own friend’s backs. This book ma ...more

Halfway trough the book I didn't see any progress in the story-line as well as the development of the main characters. The writing style is really annoying to me at this point, as well as the overall thoughts of the main characters. To me this book showed even more the lack of character-development and stayed with stereotype personalities then the previous ones in the series.
The quote below is an example. Serena just met a Dutch snowboarding team on holida

I heard so many people talking about Gossip Girl and how cool it was that I wanted to check it out, after being immensely disappointed by the series.
Well... The books are, at least this one, are not better! The plot was absent and uneventful. The characters boring and annoying. I found nothing positive to say about it and I will absolutely not read any others.

I LIKE IT LIKE THAT GOSSIP GIRLS
PLOT: Serena and Blair go on ANOTHER vacation. This time skiing which Serena invites Blair to join her on because she doesn't want to go to Hawaii with her own family. (UM what's wrong with Hawaii?). Dan gets a job at the Red Room as a journalist's assistant. Basically he's a "girl Friday" but he gets fed up with his shitty boss and after some rebellious attempts he just quits. After being tempted with a little lock lip from one of Jenny's friends he realizes he'd

This book was a lot like the TV show. Same characters such as Blair, Serena, Nate, Dan, Jenny and Georgina. The plot was a little confusing, because a lot of things happened at once. I would also say that this book was the slightest bit inappropriate. Overall, it was not my favorite book.

Hey all you wonderful Gossip Girl fans, it's Alfreda again, and I am just here to give you the scoop on the latest Gossip Girl book that I have read. Ok well the last book was amazing as many of you know, it had lots of drama and more drama, and did I mention drama? Anyway this book is even more intense then other one I told you about. In this book they had drama with more couples of course, they had drama with themselves too. So if you enjoyed the first essay, I just know that you'll love this ...more

Warning: SPOILERS!

Hello Dear Readers! And Happy Lazy Sunday!

I'm at Scruff's this weekend but I thought I would break up the monotony of my weekend with one of the book reviews I promised you in this post. As most of you know, I was a huge fan of the Gossip Girl television series and I had been wanting to read the books. Well, I finally got a hold of them and started reading them at the end of January. I finished up book 11 recently and am finally ready to write out the review.

Ah, spring break! It is the week long break during the spring that every student lives for. Unlike fall term when you have Thanksgiving and Christmas break, the only thing during spring term that separates school from, well, school, is that beautiful spring break! Sure some may call it “reading week” a week off so that you can study and start making cue cards for finals, but most (or at least the rich ones) travel to forget about school. For our seniors that is the plan as they trade in their te ...more

I Like It Like That welcomes you back to the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite and promises to be the juiciest installment yet as everyone’s favorite filthy rich teenagers are looking forward to a steamy spring break away from school and even th

It's funny. Usually, I read the book before I see the movie, but there haven't been too many book series that TV shows have been based on that I've watched. Bones is one of them, but those books are so different it's really only the Temperance Brennan character who is the same. When I do read a book and see the movie I'm inevitably disappointed in how the movie portrayed a character or changed something. I hardly ever think the movie change was for the better, but in the case of Gossip Girl the ...more

Von Ziegesar's series about overprivileged Mahattanites moves location, all the way to the ski slopes. And Georgina Sparks is coming along for the ride, as well as the rest of the GG girl crew: Blair, Serena, Nate, Chuck Bass, etc.
Georgina does not need to be in the books. She first appeared in Because I'm Worth It, since Nate's whole weed smoking incident. He met her at the clinic and she pulled him into her world of self-destruction. Blair grimly calls her the "Miu Miu shorts slut" prior to th

“Not that she didn't love almost every boy she'd ever met, and not that every boy in the world didn't totally love her. It was impossible not to.
