This was a very intriguing read. It's very unique and I have to say that I haven't come across anything like it. Having three lead characters and getting to see from each of their points of views was really cool. I love to know what everyone is thinking and so it was neat to see that.

It was a tough topic to read about and definitely not something that is light hearted but it was though provoking. I loved Lily and hated the antagonist in her story and wanted to beat him with a baseball bat. The

This book was about five years in the making for me. It would start out as one story and then evolve and change and weave until it finally became what it is today. Most of the people I had been discussing my writing with didn't even recognize the story by the end. This particular version only took about a year to write. Once I knew what I wanted to do and worked out all the kinks it was... I won't say easy but it flowed much better. Over all I love how this turned out. I have been writing fanfic ...more

At first, the 3-way viewpoints were a bit confusing, until the individual characters were firmly identified, but I enjoyed the concept(s) of how the races were presented and the specific personalities were interesting as well.

The ARC was not printed as a typical book, but on 8.5" X 11" paper with standard sized print, so I cannot tell how large the actual printed version will be. I do not think it will be very long; it seemed like a rather short story, although the subject matter was definitely

The Innocent and the Condemned, the first book of ‘The Sirens of Rhine’ series by Kaylynne Spauls is a paranormal novel set in modern times. The story follows a first person narrative of three sirens, supernatural creatures of enormous power, capable of destruction. The sirens are enslaved, sold for human trafficking, and subjected to torture. The legend follows that at any given time if one siren exists; two more exist of the same calibre. The three sirens together have power unrivalled by anyt ...more

Hey, hey, hey! You are reading a book review from Nell! I am so excited to share my thoughts about Kaylynne Spauls’ The Sirens of Rhine!

Nell gives ‘The Sirens of Rhine’: THREE fluffy feathers and ONE missing earring back!

***
“The feathers on my neck stood when I felt the cool metal press against the small of my back.”

I know. That’s what I thought.

Spauls’ opening line immediately caught my attention. It’s so different. I’ve never heard about characters adorned in feathers, so I wanted to read more

~This book was given to me free in exchange of an honest review~

The Innocent and the Condemned (The Sirens of Rhine #1) catches your attention straight from the beginning with one our heroines are attacked and her savior isn't exactly who he seems to be. We are introduced to three Sirens: Lily, Kai and Ash all from different backgrounds, two running from a place that would become their personal hells. Through out the book you are taken on a roller coaster of emotions, constantly asking what else

A Fun Read

I enjoyed the characters and parallel stories in this book, for the most part. The villains appear a bit stereotypical, but 3 strong female protagonists, human or inhuman, are always a treat.

Exciting, action packed and well written. Looking forward to Kaylynne Spauls second book, "The Untamed and Forgotten".

I downloaded it onto my phone and did not put it down until it was done! I was a little sad at that, because the next in the series wasn't finished yet. I can't wait to read it!

It was a little hard to get into the story for me. I really wanted to be grabbed, and the author did a good job with setting that up, but there was so many errors in grammar, formatting, and awkward phrasing that threw me from the story. I wanted to edit it instead of read it. Now, normally I don't like to mention things like this in a review, but I had notified the author of these mistakes and she had told me the version I was sent was an older version. Hopefully these have been rectified for f ...more

"I am the teller of tales."

I live in Charlottesville Va, I'm hard at work on the rest of my first original series!

I also love to read, play video games, cook, watch movies, go for walks, and obviously write.

I have worked with children since I was 16 and I absolutely love it. I have four nephews that I adore and I currently teach Pre K. I also work every summer at a harry potter themed girl-scout
