If you ever thought your family was nuts, this book is for you...

Up-and-coming rock star Jessica Kelly clings to her twin brother and the makeshift band 'family' they pieced together to help them cope with their physically and emotionally abusive family of origin. As teenagers the twins ran away, and now nearly a decade later their hard work is paying off in the form of fame and fan-recognition. All's not sunshine and roses, however, as their childhood trauma, her brother's drug and alcohol addi

From start to finish I was hooked on this book. I loved the characters relationships. They all had their ups and downs and I just loved Lex and Jessie. Didn't see the twist at the end, maybe I should have but, I didn't. One of my favourite books of the year.

Brilliant!!! I totally loved this book because there was so much in this book that I can relate to.Like....Highlander!! Naming her dog Duncan,I also named my dog after that show :) Only my was a female so I named her Tessa :) Only Highlander Fans will know who Tessa is :) And the song that Lex send Jessie was one my favorite songs by Sound Garden;Truly Madly Deeply..... Not only was this a great love story but there is the added drama of mental illness from Jessie's family line that posed a ...more

What can I say about this book but I tried to hang in there and I just couldn't do it.It wasn't a horrible story but it was just ok. I gave up after he found out about her crazy family. Nothing about this story really held my attention and I found myself easily setting down my Kindle to go check my phone or my computer or really do anything. Maybe this is a story for someone but it really wasn't for me

Rating this one 4.5 stars. The story about an older and retiring rock star and his soul mate is a fascintating look into spiritual awareness.

Jessica Kelly is an upcoming rock star living in Malibu, California with her band which consists of her twin brother Jack, and her good friends Steve, Kyra, and Darrell. While the band has made it in the rock world all is not well among the band members as jealousy, drugs and their pasts threaten to tear them apart. Living next door to Jessica and the band is legendary rocker Lex Coltrane, who is the combination of a young Adrian Paul and Jon Bon Jovi all wrapped up in one neat little package. ...more

I loved this book, even with the drawbacks of Jessie having the type of personality that made her a runner, it was still a well written book. Lex proved to have the patience of a saint when it came to helping Jessie through the issues with her band, and her past; an abusive child hood. He also proved to be a great person when it came to dealing with her twin brother and his addictions. The part that after he realized Jessie and her best friend Steve had no romantic involvement, which allowed him ...more

I got this as a freebie off Amazon. I was hoping for a fun, rock-star swoon-worthy read. It was OK. Not great, not horrid. The 'paranormal' aspect was probably the least favorite part of the book for me.

I liked Jesse, and I liked the seemingly 'real' challenges of life for famous rock-stars, but I wasn't head over heels for Lex. He was kinda creepy to me.

So... was it worth reading, Sure. Will I read it again? Probably not. Will I delete it from my Kindle? Probably, but can't decided if it's dest

I have truelly enjoyed this book. From 2 different lives 2 souls came together as one after so much pain and heartache.... The twins Jessie and Jack was always there for one another, but they took care of their problems in their own way. Lex was the rock star next door!!! The half of her soul... He pushed her away by insisting she should marry him and after all the drama they eventually went to Paris and became one. Jack was addicted but after all the drama he got himself cleaned... THe story ...more

I enjoyed this one. I enjoy reading books with rock star characters, I find them very interesting. In this case they were both stars but at two different levels so that caused some issues with life experience. She is 24 and has had 2 hit albums and he has been in the business for 10 years and wants to bow out gracefully and try something else. She has a lot of personal issues that caused her drama that she refused to share and that annoyed me but I am not her. I liked reading their story and if ...more

Light and fluffy romance with a serious side of mental illness. It dragged on a bit for me. I really liked the idea of twin red heads leading the band, girl falls for slightly older rock star. The cover confused me a bit, the picture doesn't follow the picture of Lex & Jessie that the author set. The scene is spot on though. I get the whole sole mate thing but the past life deal, not so much.

This was a wonderful paranormal romance book. I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great romance connection story between Jessie and Lex. It was well written and held my interest throughout the entire book. I would recommend this book to all my good read friends who love romance books

Rocks stars and romance? Of course I had to read it.
I have to say this a excellent read. I like the story about the past lives thing. I think it was well researched and executed great. Lex and Jessie were perfectly matched. Good job Lily. I am now a fan.

Parts I liked, parts I didn't, and some parts were WTF? I think I would have liked better if not so long. Areas dragged for me. Ended up skipping scenes to get to the meat of the story.

I've had this book for quite awhile! I actually enjoyed the reincarnation concept. Wonderful read that dealt with a touch of paranormal and mental illness.

I live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, on the shores of Green Bay. I have always been a voracious reader of romances, mostly historical romances and sweeping historical sagas. I love researching different time periods and imagining what life was like back then so it seems only natural to write historical romances. My one vice, aside from reading romances, is coffee. I melt beneath the intoxicating ...more
