This book kept my attention the whole time. I was unable to step away from it. The attention to detail was amazing and the character development was wonderful. I fell in love with one of the main characters and was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. This book moved me to tears it was that good. I look forward to seeing what else this author brings out for us.
Okay I had an opportunity to read the book as a beta reader, I stay up till four in the morning reading this amazing book, i could not put it down, it was so good i had to finish it to know what happens next, Mage isn't a normal teenage girl, she has a special gift, that she had ever since she was little and ever since she was little she got picked on and no one really talk's to her even now in high school they think she is a freak, but then a new girl comes along and wants to be friends with he...more
WOW!!! This book is absolutely amazing!! I was hooked from page one! The Language of Flowers. *sigh* Definately my favorite part. The author does an wonderful job developing the characters and describing everything to make it so easy to see in your mind. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster and im still wiping tears as I write this review. Mage is one tough cookie! She has endured more heartache and struggles in her 16 years than most do in a lifetime. Enter Adam *swoon* He is such a...more
Oh, where to start? Wicked Fate was...WICKED. Wry. Wild. Wonderful. There is nothing I love more than a good witch tale. And this story had me immediately under it's spell. Beautifully written without the heavy prose of some of the other books I've read recently but just as well composed. Yes, composed. Perfectly presented, perfectly paced, perfectly peppered with... ah, it's just PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT. Tabatha has a great style and wicked wit. [Sorry, this review may be filled with a LOT of W...more
I love love loved this book. It enthralled me and kept me captivated past the last word on the last page, right from the very beginning.
Its really not my fault anyway, if he wasnt eight people ahead of me looking like summer seduction on a stick, then maybe I could pay attention. It's simple....I blame him. ~ Mage on Adam

Whoaaa! Oh my God! So sad, sweet and... oh my God, I have no words!
I loved, loved, loved this book! And all the characters were very good! I liked Mage a lot, and then Adam, Thaddeus, Bernie, Ben, Sire...And I actually swooned and I was in awe when Mage and Adam were together. It was so beautiful! So emotional! This is what I'm talking about when I say that I can connect with a character and their feelings. I could feel their love, their passion, their desperation, their sadness, their pain.

There are a few things that I need to let you know before I dive into this review. 1) This book was given to me by the author, Tabatha Vargo, to beta read. 2) This book is not yet released; however, the moment that I know, I will let you know! And 3) I want to say THANK YOU for this amazing read!

WOW!! Totally captivating and enthralling!!
I want to begin by saying that the cover of Wicked Fate is beautiful and it alone is very alluring. But, the pages within this book draw you deeper in to the world of Mage and the turmoil that this intriguing teen has to go through.
With a heroine that is strong and smart, Mage carries us through her life of solidarity. Until a new student, Bernie, enters the social mess of Mage's life, something new wakes up in Mage and sets things in motion for the jo...more

5 fantastic, completely well deserved stars! If I could give it more I would!
Wow. This book was seriously amazing. It was nothing at all like I was expecting. I don’t even know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn’t this. Tabatha Vargo has created one of the best books I’ve ever read and, trust me, I’ve read a lot of books. Mage has to be one of my favorite heroine’s of all time. She wasn’t moody and indecisive every other page. She was real. Mage’s inner dialogue had me laughing out loud...more

There are no words that can express how much I truly enjoyed this book. The imagery is fantastic! There is a kiss that is described so perfectly that it made me feel the way I did the first time I kissed my husband. It was like falling in love all over again. There were butterflies in my stomach, tingles in my toes, a giddy feeling all over, the works. Being a high school loner myself, I connected with the character of Mage immediately. The ability to feel a connection like that meant that I exp...more
I absolutely LOVED this book. Tabatha Vargo done a wonderful job with it and I can not wait to read Book 2.
I love that Mage was a loner at first and then the one guy she liked and thought would have nothing to do with her finally did and she absolutely LOVED Adam!
And it all started with Bernie. Which Mage at first wasn't to sure of but that goes to show that you don't judge a book by its cover cause what is inside and what it reveals is completely different!

I absolutely LOVED this book!!!! I was immediately hooked after the first page. I haven't read a book like this before. The fact that it is different from all the other books out there, makes it another favorite on my shelf. The story is written beautifully, and the world that Tabatha created, was unlike the others. I felt as if I was there. I felt as if I was there, and I was able to see picture everything around me with the descriptions that Tabatha used. I also love seeing characters grow th...more

Firstly I would like to say I loved the cover! Secondly, I loved this YA paranormal story from the first page!
Mage McPherson is a wonderful character. She is a loving person, but she has been made a social pariah at school. She has these special abilities that she fears will hurt someone, so she pushes people away. This makes her very lonely. That is, until Adam, her secret crush, starts to take notice.

I was drawn into this book by the cover but what is inside is even better and had me staying up late into the night to finish.
Mage is different and is the loner/freak of her school. They all fear her and Mage fears herself due to special abilities. But all that changes when a new girl moves to town and tries to become friends with Mage and the boy Adam she has always crushed on is now paying attention to her. Bernie and Adam immediately become very important to Mage and she thinks things are loo...more

OK for starters I picked up this book about 9pm Christmas eve and Santa didn't show at my house until about 5am!! I SERIOUSLY could not set it down! At first I thought Mage was just the typical teen outcast (we all went to school with at least one) I honestly do not know how she was an out cast she was beautiful and could do some pretty Wicked cool stuff! Nit Understanding why or how I think was Mages main downfall she didn't want to be shipped off to a loony bin and she didn't want to be consid...more
I started this review a few days ago and decided to erase what I originally put because no matter how bad a book is, there is no need to be rude with your "personal" opinion in a review. I know for a fact that a "real" Author reads and appreciates ALL reviews. Whether good or bad. I normally don't write a bad review and I usually HATE reviews that have the story of the book in it because that beats the reason to even read the book! With all that being said:

I got this book when Tabatha released it before she pulled it because she wanted to make it prefect so I guess you could say I beta read it for her. I loved this book. I read a few chapters when she had it on Inkpop and was addicted then. I finally got to read the whole book and couldn't put it down I finished it in one day. From the beginning she draws you in and gets you hooked on the characters and the story. She adds so much detail to her book that if you have never been to Summerville, SC y...more
This book was not what I expected and the twists and turns had me guessing. I was sure at times it would follow along the path of predictability and then it deviated from the "normal lonely girl meets boy, girl loses boy and then girl and boy reunite to live happily ever after." In fact the ending really surprised me and this story of young love made quite an impression on me, add some magic, family secrets and an unseen enemy and you have a book that captures your imagination. Mage was a likabl...more
Wicked Fate has been one of the most favorite books I’ve read in 2012!
Madge McPherson is unlike the others. Alone with only a grandpa that doesn’t remember who she is, Madge has to take care of herself. But is she really alone?
At school Madge is a loner. No one talks to her no one even looks at her. When the new school year begins Madge hopes it would be different this year. She is about to get her wish fulfilled and then some. A new friend – Bernie who’s just so bubbly and full of life that it...more

Let me start by saying, if you want the same teen love drama where only the names have changed, this is not the book for you. It is different. What Mage can and can’t do. Her relationship with Thaddeus and her grandparents and her best friend…it’s all different - and when Mage sets her eyes on something, the whole world rocks. About the only normal relationship she has is with Sire…well, not really, but normal by her standards.

When Tabatha Vargo named her book 'Wicked Fate, it wasn't by accident - it was by design. Fate is indeed 'Wicked' for Mage and her love interest Adam.
Mage is a loner in a small town where her classmates are afraid of her because she appears different to them and she likes it that way. All that changes when she meets a new girl and her crush for years finally takes notice of her. Not to mention that she finds out that there's a reason she can do what she can do or the 'wicked' dreams she has. Her...more
