This third installment of the "fantasy vampire" world with a feudal structure where vampires hold the power, demons are despised, and priests are the last defense against evil, tells the story of the third vampire prince, Fredric, and Satoru, a half-demon human priest. They are so clearly destined to be together, they should fall into each other's arms and be done with it. Unfortunately, that isn’t the way it works for them. Fredric is resolute not to bond with a demon, as he hates them with a ...more

Another entertaining read and the end of this first trilogy. I'm interested to see what will continue to happen in this world.

This review is for both this series and The Wolf's Mate series.

There's no logic to it, but I found myself just completely enjoying these books. The conversations are ridiculously stilted, the characters are too perfect, the relationships are all basically insta-love, and the plots are all simplistic and similar. But they were so fun to read!

It may have to do with my life being all kinds of stressful and crazy the last few months, but getting to read these books was absolutely my guilty pleasure.

Frederic is a vampire and has a disease called the dissolution, He has met his mate but his mate is a male priest and half-demon. Three strikes.
Satoru a priest and half demon refuses to give up on trying to save Frederic.
This was one heck of a story and for some reason I picked up yet another series on book 3 seems to be my lucky number. If you didn’t know this was part of a series you’d never guess it stands alone that well. I will be ge

I really enjoyed this book - even when Fredric was being a jerk, you could see him slowly softening. Satoru was irresistible, and although it took some time, his determination was enough to win the day.

Satoru needs to come back. he's a great character. epilogue makes it sound like there will be more. Fredric's stubbornness frustrated me, but changing your beliefs is hard and I don't like "insta-love" asmuch as I used to, so it kept things interesting

I'm curious to see where the series will go next now that the three brothers have all been mated. I'm thinking side characters like the priest brothers from this third installment... but whatever it is it will be great I'm sure!

Marie Medina was born in northern New England and raised by her pale, mysterious godfather in a dark gothic mansion on the edge of her small, sleepy town. He didn’t turn out to be a Bronte hero or a vampire, as she thought when she was very young, but he is her best friend and the standard by which she measures all her heroes (and suitors). She has been writing since the age of eleven and has no ...more
