It all began with a tie. In author, Rocky Leonard’s second novel, Secondhand Sight, a serial killer with the primary motivation of causing human suffering, is on the loose in the suburban area surrounding the city of Atlanta. As police in neighboring towns begin to suspect that there is a possible connection between brutal killings in their respective areas, a software developer finds himself in the middle of the mysterious. His role in the unfolding drama begins when he purchases a tie at a thr...more

The lead character Dan Harper is a likeable, ordinary guy with a pregnant wife. He begins getting visions of murders before they happened, and as he unravels them, he realises they match up to actual murders. This is where the character becomes even more likeable and real because you can taste his worry and indecision. He isn't a super hero he's just the guy next door. The author doesn't 'big him up' but keeps him slightly flawed all the way through--that's why I liked Secondhand Sight so much.

A mystery has to have to have me reading and wanting to finish the book. I have to discover all the secrets. Rocky Leonard did not disappoint me in Secondhand Sight.

This is the story of a regular man with a regular life. His wife is expecting their first child. He is hard worker. And getting his lunch on his tie changes his life forever. The tie he buys at the secondhand store gives him visions of blood, bodies, and murder. He finds himself unable to sleep for the dead visiting him. He has to fi...more

Second Sight tells the story of an ordinary man that by the random act of purchasing a tie in a second hand store becomes involved in the search of a vicious murderer. This story held my interest throughout the book with plenty of action, great characters, and a great story line. I would recommend this book to all of my friends! I received this book for free through Good Reads First Reads.
