4 Stars! A fun addition to the Holloway series!

In my opinion this is the best installment yet. While not as steamy as the first two, the story and the characters made for a pretty good read. The banter between Lila and Spence was quite enjoyable and there was plenty of it. Add Austin and Travis to the mix and it was laugh-out-loud funny. Oh my, that Travis, I can't wait to read his book...yum!

This book is light-hearted and fun, and although not a complex plot, it felt more complete than the o
A light short story about Lila, and Austin's brother Spencer, who once shared a long weekend together when they were both feeling vulnerable, thinking that they'd never see each other again.

Fate had other plans, and Lila moves near Spencer's hometown, bringing them back in each other's lives, with misunderstandings and bruised feelings in the way of the sparks that still fly between them.

Do I know you?

They manage to work through their misunderstandings and start a relationship that is inevitably threatened by

Lila comes to Holloway to take over her Uncle’s resort. Resort…is one way to describe it. Broken down, dump is another. There’s isn’t even a place for Lila to stay, let alone there being lodging for guests. But she’s determined to make this work because her life is at a low point right now. She’s divorced and after using her savings and ruining her credit to help her husband out after some gambling issues, he decides he needs a clean start a

It was a hardship to finish this. After a few books in between, I finally nutted up and charged in. Well, skimmed through, more like.

After book #2, book #3 about Spence Holloway still didn't impress me much. It only made me realise that HKD's voice was kinda boring and a bit trivial at times. I had a really high hope for Spence's story considering that he was the uptight one. And everybody knows that those are the ones that fall the hardest.

But sadly, both Spence and Lila came off a bit whiny a

I'll start with confessing that although I have glimpsed HelenKay Dimon's name before, until now I haven't read anything by her, so this novella was my introduction to both HelenKay Dimon's writing and her Holloway series (though We'll Be Home for Christmas is Book #3 in the series), and since I enjoyed both a lot, I'll definitely check out more of her stories. :-D

We'll Be Home for Christmas is Spencer Thomas' ("that other Thomas boy") story of how he finds love with Lila. I have to say that I f

We'll Be Home for Christmas by HelenKay Dimon is the third book in the Holloway series. It doesn't have to be read in order, but I would recommend it. Several characters were mentioned that I knew must surely have their own stories. My rating for this book is definitely a 3.5.

Lila Payne has come back to West Virginia to take over her uncle's resort. Little does she know that the resort is falling down around her ears and not at all what she remembers from the lovely summers she spent there as a

I've figured out what makes HelenKay's books so frickin' awesome: She gets the argument scenes "right". (Maybe it's her background as a divorce attorney?) Not only is the flirting excellent, but even the conflict and struggle (usually the most painful parts to read) are so believable - it doesn't frustrate me to the point of discomfort. I end up believing Spence's worries are legitimate, and at the same time, I also sympathize with Lila's needs/wants. I can easily and comfortably see both sides ...more

Listened to on audio. Narrated by Leslie Bellair.

Excellent performance by the narrator. Her pacing is perfect and I thought she had a really nice voice to listen to. I've not listened to or even heard of Leslie Bellair before, but I'd definitely seek out her work again.

I need to read some more HelenKay Dimon immediately! She's a great writer and I absolutely love her sense of humour. The dialogue is excellent. Funny, clever and it moves the story along really well.

I really liked We'll Be Home for Christmas, by HelenKay Dimon. I wasn't a giant fan of Spence in the first two books so I have to admit the premise of this one appealed to me. I kind of loved that Lila denied remembering Spencer, as though their 3 day affair left no impression on her. I hated that he lied to her about who he really was, but I liked how Dimon resolved his reasons later in the story. He really was a much deeper character than I gave him credit for, and I enjoyed getting

This is the third book in the Holloway series by HelenKay Dimon and I adored it. I read the first two books in the Holloway series recently and was excited to get to read Spencer’s story since he is the wild womanizer of the bunch. Always fun to see how a woman tames that. Spencer and Lila met up at a hotel for a 3-night stand months ago. They both were in a bad situation and a little down on their luck. They never thought they would see each other again but the memory of those days they shared ...more

When Lila Payne arrives in Holloway to take over her uncle's resort, she has more than a few surprises waiting for her. One of the biggest is that the "resort" is falling down and isn't habitable. The other? Spencer Thomas, the man she spent three nights with who lied about his name. Spencer is part owner of the local nursery and is determined to do the "neighborly" thing by helping her fix up the resort.

Spencer doesn't believe in romantic happily ever afters but he's more than happy to
Lila and Spence had a three day fling several months ago when they met at a hotel, their chemistry was scorching but neither of them were looking for anything permanent so they were happy to walk in opposite directions to go back to their normal lives. I discovered this novella through the DBSA podcast where Jane and Sarah discussed favorite Holiday stories. Listening to Sarah talk about the premise of this story I just couldn't help but search for it. I was interested in the Anthology ("Romancing the Holiday") but was unable to locate a copy of it for easy access. Instead I took some of my book budget to buy the novella for my kindle. I think it was a good investment and I plan on re-reading it next Christmas.

So the premise is built on this

This is the third year that I have LOVED the holiday story and getting to visit this family from HelenKay Dimon's imagination. I truly love these characters. They have a great family dynamic...a bunch of guys who love to give each other a hard time and I LOVE that! Seriously, this series from HK Dimon fall under the heading of some of my favorite contemporary romance reading of the year!

This little Christmas stories checked a lot of boxes for me. I loved the characters and the plot was lovely. There was no real suspense for me as it was blatantly obvious what was going to happen from the offset but I did enjoy reading their tale! It wasn’t quite as sexy as I had hoped (I kept reading about this fab sex they’d had but it was never really recreated!) but it was very heart-warming!

Another fun, quick, sexy read from HelenKay Dimon in her Halloway series. Technically you don’t need to have read the previous two books to enjoy this story but with the reoccurring characters it does make it more enjoyable. I am starting to love HelenKay Dimon work. I have been able to read a handful of her books so far and have yet to be disappointed. This is the 3rd novella in a series and oh so yummy good. Spence doesn't take relationships seriously but he isn't used to being the one walked away from and told sex with him was no big deal. When he meets Lila Payne at a hotel and they hit it off in bed for three days both think they'll never see each other again but both also regret that they won't a little too. T ...more

Enjoyed this whole series of books. The heroes and heroines both were strong characters. While they harbor their own share of ghosts from the past, the struggles didn't break down to whining or something that detracted from the personality of the character. With the three-nighter aspect of the book, it would have been easily to go down a different path but heroine stayed strong and stuck up for herself.

Having read only one other HelenKay Dimon book, I have enjoyed reading this one for sure. The story begins in least possible way, but I guess this is what made the story so interesting. There is a lot of passion, quirky talk. The novella is heart-warming with a sense of a small town community mixed with a little bit of sexiness. What is more, Dimont introduces Travis as a know-it-all-guy when it comes to women, even having him giving advice to Spencer, and now, it just makes me wonder if he i

This is my first book in this series, but I didn’t felt lost and it can be read as a simply holiday novella without any problem, because the story is focused on Lila and Spencer love story and holiday affair.

These two have met before but neither thought they would actually see each other again, especially since Spencer lied and told her a different name, his brother name, so it was a very fun misunderstanding in the first chapter and them we have Spencer kinda groveling for Lila’s attention and

I didn't like the "hero" at all. I had my fill of self-entitled, commitment-phobic compulsive liars. the premise seemed interesting, but the trigger was poorly presented. Besides all that, this is supposed to be a Christmas romance: I expect to be hit across the face with some garland (metaphorically, of course).
