I love the Holiday anthologies from Carina Press, and the contemporary romance one is by far my favorite, year after year!!

First up: The Best Thing by Jaci Burton

I think that this was my favorite novella in the anthology, and not just because we’ve been building up to this story over the course of the series. Burton does such an amazing job telling stories, and Tori and Brody had a lot to go through!

I love that Tori and Brody

I love small town romances and I love the Carina Press Christmas themed anthologies so I couldn't resist Romancing the Holiday when it was available for review on netgalley. I hadn't read anything by any of these authors before but I will definitely be reading more from all of them in the future, I'm also planning to catch up with the other stories in the Holloway and Kent Brothers series. The stories in this anthology are all sweet and romantic which makes them perfect holiday reads.

Romancing the Holiday is a compilation of 3 really great Christmas stories. The rating I am giving is overall. Below I will individually rate each book.

We'll Be Home for Christmas by HelenKay Dimon is the third book in the Holloway series. I wish I would have known this. I hate reading a book out of order in a series. I will say it didn't matter so much that I read it out of order. There were several characters mentioned that I knew must have had their own story, but it didn't complicate this pa

A delightful holiday anthology with lovely, heart-warming and sexy stories :-)

You know all how much I love the holidays and holiday romances so when I saw Carina Press' holiday release selection I couldn't have been happier! :-D (pst besides this contemporary romance anthology there is a sci-fi romance and an erotic romance anthology as well, so make your lists and check them twice! ;-))

I always look forward to Carina Press’s holiday anthologies. This one is well done and also note, each story can also be purchased separately

We’ll Be Home for Christmas by HelenKay Dimon

Lila has decided to move to a small town in West Virginia and take over her uncle’s Mountain View resort. The problem is when she gets to this ‘resort’ it’s actually a campground in poor condition. When she goes to the local nursery to see if she can buy some supplies, she meets Austin Thomas and is floored. A wh

After reading this anthology I have found three more authors to add to my must read list! I enjoyed all of these contemporary romance stories. They were all so sweet and different. These authors are relatively new to me but have heard there names many times and am a big fan of Carina Press books so I thought I would give this book a try. All of the stories were well written and moved along well. Sometimes in novellas, the shorter length makes it hard to develop characters and the plot to make it ...more

Romancing the Holiday is an anthology comprised of three different novellas.

Months ago Lila and Spence, who she knows as Austin spent a steamy and sex filled three days together locked in a hotel room. Afterwards, both parted never expecting to see each other again. But like most romance novels, that pretty much goes out the window pretty quickly.

Down on her luck, Lila is attempting to start

I received a copy from NetGalley. These were the perfect three stories to put together in this anthology. So much love and happiness that it makes me want to go and read more about the other couples in the series.

We'll Be Home for Christmas - When Lila and Spencer find each other again, it's actually pretty funny. He wants to protect her and help her under the guise of "being a good neighbor," but after their 3 day hotel "sex romp" that's a thinly veiled excuse to be around her. Tiny spoiler - W

Holiday Romances are among my favorites and these ladies sure don't fall short on the romance this Christmas. Got a chance to catch up with the Kent and Holloway Families and Christi Barth gives us a friends to lovers romance to warm the cold winter nights.

Jaci Burton brings us The Best Thing, a return to the Kent Family and this time Bad-Boy, middle brother, Brody and Tori are hitting the sheets and maybe finally admitting the feelings they've had for e

We’ll Be Home for Christmas is the third book in the Holloway series. Hopefully, it’s not the last book. It’s NOT a requirement that you have to have read the other two books, but I recommend that you do, because I really like them.

This is FINALLY Spence’s chance at love, provided he doesn’t let the idiot that’s inside of him come out and stay too long. Spencer is the oldest of the two Thomas brothers and the Thomas

This is the third year that I have LOVED the holiday story and getting to visit this family from HelenKay Dimon's imagination. I truly love these characters. They have a great family dynamic...a bunch of guys who love to give each other a hard time and I LOVE that! Seriously, this series from HK Dimon fall under the heading of some of my favorite contemporary romance reading of the year!

This book was no exception. I liked the h

The Deal: Romancing the Holiday is a 3 story-anthology, so I'll summarize each of them separately.

In We'll be Home for Christmas by HalenKay Dimon, we meet Lila and Spence, two people who had a 3-day hook up a few months ago and then unexpectedly run into each other again when Lila moves into Spencer's town to manage a lodge a relative has left her. Spence and Lila haven't forgotten about each other, or their explosive chemistry... too bad Spence gave her his brother's name when they first met a

I absolutely LOVED everything about this story. We'll Be Home for Christmas is the third book in the Holloway Series. Spence and Lila are great together. Now if only Spence can get this through his head. He has commitment issues due to his mother walking out on his family when he was young. He keeps things "casual and fun" then he walks away. But there is something about Lila that calls to him and before you know it it's either man up or lose the best thi

With plenty to land them on both Santa's naughty and nice lists, Jaci Burton, HelenKay Dimon and Christi Barth offer seasonal stories of love and lust in Romancing the Holiday.

As a connoisseur of holiday movies and romance novels, I was excited to dig into these stories. Each features strong-willed leading ladies and crush-worthy male counterparts, and managed to tell stories about love within a short time-frame.

While offering heart-pounding sizzle, the stories were not as full of holiday moment

Carina Press’ Holiday Anthologies have become a tradition for me. This year they published three: Erotic, Sci-Fi and Contemporary, which is the one I’m reviewing today. To be honest, this is my least favorite of all their anthologies, although it still is a fairly competent set of novellas.

The first story is We'll Be Home for Christmas by HelenKay Dimon. I loved her previous novel,

Although most of these are series books, they can be read as a stand alone and you won't be left in the dark.
3 books from 3 different authors and you can buy their books individually. I just like the idea that I might find yet another new author to read when they are clumped together.

Really enjoyed these short Christmas stories. Having never read any of these authors before, I was happy that I liked all of them. I think the burton story was my favorite. It felt the most like a full length story. I will have to go back and read the other brothers stories.

The Barth story was OK. I enjoyed the heroine and her sweet and fun attitude. Though the story set up is not one of my favorites and I found the hero a little spineless for most of the story. He did make up for it in the en

Lila Payne has been trying to find her way after her marriage fell apart and she thinks that moving to Holloway to take care of the campground "resort" that her uncle gave her is as good a place as any to start over. Only she didn't expect that when she went to Thomas Nurseries to pick up something her uncle ordered, she'd run into the man she hasn't been able to get out of her head for three mont

We'll Be Home for Christmas (Holloway #3) by HelenKay Dimon follows the story of Spence and Lila, who met before at a hotel and spent three nights together, but never thought about seeing each other again. Lila is at his home town to stay, and Spence only wants her out....or maybe 'rescue' her and take her to bed again. I can say this one was my favorite story, it was realistic the way Spence and Lila fell in love. I remember reading another story of HelenKay Dimon, that is

No man likes having his bedroom skills described as forgettable, but that's just what Lila Payne does when she runs into Spencer Thomas again. When she discovers that he'd lied about his name during their brief three-day romp a few months before, she's so angry that she pretends she doesn't remember him.

Spence regrets his deception, but not as much as he regrets that their time together didn't last longer. When she shows up in his tow

I was first introduced to Spence when I read Lean on Me, which is a part of the Holloway series. I really liked him because he was no nonsense and just said it how it was. I was really looking forward to seeing him again and this story didn’t disappoint. I think we got to see all of Spence and he is definitely my favorite of the guys in this series. I liked Lyla as well, although I thought her backstory was a little too similar to Cassidy’s.

I loved last year's Carina Press contemporary romance anthology, so I had high hopes for this year's book. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations.

"We'll Be Home for Christmas" by HelenKay Dimon was just okay. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. The story dragged for me even though it was short. The characters have appeared before in her series about Holloway, West Virginia, a town full of awful human beings who stare at outsiders and gossip constantly. (See my review of Dimon's "

We're back in the small West Virginia town of Holloway. I swear this town needs to fall off the map. The people of Holloway are not nice and I find their nosey, gossiping ways a turn-off. These people are small-minded and just plain mean. Anyways, other than the setting of the story putting me off, I overall enjoyed it. Spencer uses his brother's name when he hooks up with Lila 3 months prior. When Lila runs into him and she realizes he lied, it's not

My second anthology this season and I’ve enjoyed them both immensely. These are so great to keep around we all know this time of year it’s hard to have any “me” time but when you do manage to carve some out, it’s nice to have some short holiday stories to lift your spirits and remind you what the holidays are all about.

I really like these stories set in this nosey West Virginia town and after reading the deliciously awkward first chapter I knew this one was going to be fun! Because really what can be more awkward that running into the man you had a hot 3 day stand with in the new town you moved to? Finding out that he used his brother's name that is what can be more awkward, along with confronting him at his business where most of the town can see. What a wallop to
