Kendall Grey continues to add depth to the Just Breathe series with these short installments. Dirty provides us with Jet Hawthorne’s history. It is not very pretty and I admire that Kendall Grey has the bravery to add this level of depth to her characters. This story was yet again completely different. I’m in awe of how many stories Kendall has in her, at this point! I am so glad I chose to read the ephemeras, they really round out everything for me.

I have to admit, this was the only Kendall Grey book I was tempted to put down. Grey doesn’t hold back at all on this one. She challenges the reader to really feel. She challenges the reader to become the character. I felt it all and I definitely became the character.

Heartbreaking & Beautiful
This is another fantastic short story from Kendall Grey! Dirty is the third in the Just Breathe Ephemera series. Jet Hawthorne is a character from Exhale. I should warn you that what happens to her in the beginning is very heartbreaking! It's worth reading through to the end just to see her incredible journey and transformation into a powerful Erthe Elemental. A wonderfully written companion piece to Exhale!

Some great background information is given here for a character introduced in Exhale (the 2nd in the Just Breathe trilogy.) This was not a "fun" read as Stifle was, but it definitely lent to the overall story. Be prepared for some ugly in the beginning...

I like the back story to finding out how an elemental comes into being. It was a good book to read today.
