Among the best books on the Marxian study of the everyday. It tracks the historical development of the everyday as a dimension of analysis between the poles of cultural critique (detached, ironic) and philosophy of praxis (engaged, sincere). Nuanced reading of Lefebvre.

Most of this book was meh. The last chapter "Lefebvre's Dialectical Irony: Marx and the Everyday" was hella tight and worth the slog. Always love reading about ya boy Arvatov. Would recommend.
