Zack joins his school's Explorer's Club and visits Juno, a newly discovered planet of crystals. The group is split into pairs as they begin exploring, and Zack is less than thrilled when he is partnered with Seth Stevens, the Phase 2 bully! Seth is happy to let Zack do the work while he goofs off, so when Zack stumbles upon a really cool object, he hides it so he can show ...more

Journey To Juno is the second book of the Galaxy Zack series. It is just as good as the first one. It’s awesome! Zack joins the Sprockets Academy Explorers Club at school. They fly on a special trip to Juno, a new planet no one has ever visited. Zack gets paired up with Seth, the class bully, and that’s dreadful but Zack is excited when he finds a huge galaxy gemmite. A gemmite that large had not been found in 100 years! Kids will love this book! Boys and girls will both like it. It’s an easy ...more
This series has a lot going for it. It's pretty fun and silly with some top notch illustrations. They do a really good job of communicating all the space stuff without getting bogged down. It's just silly enough. Think Star Trek: the original series.

Also this particular title was picked out for me by a 3 year old library regular. Two is one of the 3 numbers she can recognize visually and this book is the second in the series. A+ number recognition!

Zack joins an Explorers Club that is exploring a newly discovered planet, Juno. He's paired with Seth, who's nothing but a big bully, and explores a cave that has a special treasure in it. Instead of taking the credit for himself, he gives the credit to the Sprocket's Explorer Club. His parents even host an old school barbeque, so that they can show the Nebulons how they cook on Earth.
Galaxy Zack is an adventuresome earthling who has moved with his family to Planet Nebulon, where life is a little different. He's still trying to get used to life where everything is "grape," and in this installment, he has to handle a typical kid problem: dealing with the class meanie. Short, fast-paced chapters, fun illustrations on every page and a relatable main character make this a great chapter read for little kids who are ready for more than picture books but don't quite have the reading ...more

This was a really good book. I recommend it.
Zack is back still trying to fit in at his new school. He thinks he is making progress as he has a best friend. Together they are part of the school's Explorers Club. The lucky members get to travel to a newly discovered crystal planet, Juno. Unfortunately, Zack is paired with the class bully who also happens to be the son of his dad's boss. Seth doesn't lift a finger to help with their exploring project until they are all done and he claims all the credit for himself. Apparently bullies are an ...more

In the second book of the science fiction Galaxy Zack series, he joins his school’s explorers club and is finally making friends, except for one- the class bully Seth Stevens. When the explorers club visits Juno, Zack is partnered with Seth for their exploration. Seth is his usual bossy, brutish self and tries to take credit for all they found, but Zack has a trick or two up his own sleeve that will make him a hero to his class and the rest of the planet Nebulon.

Galaxy Zack daydreams about being famous because being famous is the awesomest thing ever and his dream comes true when he travels to the new planet Juno where he discovers a hella rare crystal in a pile of other crystals. Wow, Zack, way to go, you totally worked hard for that discovery, enjoy your fifteen minutes of game. There's another storyline about a bully who is lazy and obsessed with his phone and jealous and has a father who's accomplished but we find out is secretly scared of dogs. ...more

Besides being entertaining for fans of science-fiction, this chapter book, which would be an excellent read aloud, teaches several valuable lessons, including: how bullies can become friends and that hard work pays off. Most of the language used in the book would be understood by even the younger readers; however, there are some words, such as "Nebulite" "gemmi

This is a solid early chapter book sci-fi story about a boy named Zack who lives on the planet Nebulon in the future. Zack deals with a new school (and new planet), makes new friends, gets and exiting new exploration opportunity, and successfully deals with the school bully. Kids who find this too easy should probably read Cleopatra in Space.

A young library customer recommended this series to me. Zack is a new student on another planet and quickly finds bullies aren't just on Earth. I wasn't bowled over but I'll suspend comments until I read 1 or 2 more.

I thought that this book was a a fun, light read, but for much younger kids(1st-3rd grade). I think that a theme of this book is that exploring new worlds around can be fun and exiting, and who knows what you'll get out of it!

I would give the experience of reading with my son 5 stars, but I'm not super impressed with Galaxy Zack. But my six-year-old enjoys having me read them to him and I make him read some, too. I do like that there is no violence in this book. There are, however, some sexist stereotypes.

Transitional series about an Earth kid living on another planet in the future. Not the best written, but I can see a lot of kids liking this series.
