Kin picks up where Sprite leaves off. Annabelle is faced with a shocking and heartbreaking revelation about the boy she loved, and the feelings she now has for the boy she is with. Annabelle is also coming to terms with the fact that she is the second Alpha, destined to try to fulfill an ancient prophecy. She and Adrian are in a race to find the clues that will lead to the discovery of Triton's lost shell, which is the key to bringing order and restoring balance. They face constant attack and th...more
This book is basically continuing right from where it left off in book one. I won't speak much of it though just in case I manage to accidentally give away some spoilers. All I can say is, the stakes are a lot higher in this book, with more emotional turmoil for Annabelle, as she gets to meet Blake again - realizing she'd never known who he really was- and figuring out why he was interested in her in the first place. There's also the added part of involving both Aurelia, Adrian's sister, and Lin...more
'Kin' is the second book in the Annabelle's Story series and picks up right where the first book left off. The story continues effortlessly from each book into the next, which makes for great flow. The characters grow and gain more depth with the second novel, which makes them all the more realistic and easy to root for.

I don't know how to feel about this book.
Kin starts just where Sprite left off. Annabelle is left to deal with the profecy of ABA m, after discovering a shattering secret. Now, Annabelle must face these and other many revelations along the way. She has to prepare for a battle that will not only ultimately decide the fate of all the Sprites, but can also change her life one way or another.

I immediately started Kin after Sprite (Book One), particularly because of how Sprite left off with a pretty big revelation. Leigh sucked me in from the begining and I enjoyed seeing the relationship develop between Annabelle and Adrian. Although his affection for her started a long time ago, I believed the process she went through in dealing with a past love and a new one. There was one battle after another, and that worked for me. Some characters died, while others prevailed, all while Annabel...more

Wow, I did not think that Kin would top Sprite, but it did. Really its just a big book, broke into 2 parts, and it was great that I had Kin ready to read, as it was a bit of a cliffhanger, and was glad to continue this amazing journey with Annabelle.
I do not want to spoil anything, so will keep this spoiler free. I Loved the surprises too, and hope you will as well.

I won this book from the goodreads giveaways. The author was very generous in sending me the first book along with the sequel.
This book was like a breath of fresh air. I loved how the author explained the back story of the sprite culture and history. There was all this detail other books seem the leave out.
This series is defiantly a good read for all YA fantasy fans. I really hope a third book comes out.
