Heigh ho, heigh ho, it’s back to hell she goes…

Grimm’s Circle, Book 7

Myrsina knows the stories. As one of the oldest of the Grimm, she had a hand in writing most of them, but only she knows the dark origin of the Seven Bloody Sisters. It springs from the place of her birth—and her death. A place of pain and misery to which she plans to never return. Unless forced.

Dark Faerie Tales
Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales.

Quick & Dirty: Can a blind man see better than a woman wearing her emotional baggage as a shield against the opportunity for love?

Opening Sentence: The woman stood alone in a courtyard of blood.

The Review:

This book is hard to easily categorize. There is the twist on classic fairy tales that we all know and love then throw in angels on a mission and sprinkle some ghost in for flavor and voilà we have our story. This book is also the last in a series which...more

Blind Destiny is the seventh of Shiloh Walker’s Grimm’s Circle stories, and they just keep getting better each time.

Myrsina is one of the oldest of the Grimm: guardian angels walking the Earth to protect humanity from demons that have crossed over from the netherworld. She knows all the stories, and even created a few herself. There is nothing that could get her to return to the place she fears, her homeland and the place where thing...more

I was sent a copy from the author with the promise for an honest review. I’m a huge fan of Shiloh Walker and love her Grimm’s Circle series. Bonus for me, Blind Destiny is Snow White’s story, which is one of my favorite stories.

Sina has been in love with Luc from the moment she first met him. However, he has never shown that he has feeling for anyone other than his now ex-wife. I love the chemistry between Sina and Luc and think they really are perfect for one another. Both are snarky and stubbo...more

I have to admit that Blind Destiny probably isn't my favorite Grimm Circle novel, but I don't dislike it either. There's always one book in a series that has to be a dud and I'm thinking it's this one. Again, I didn't dislike the story. In fact, the actual story was fabulous. It was engaging and kept moving. It brought Luc and Sina together in a variety of different ways and it played to their strengths. We're even introduced to a new character (that I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of late...more

3 3/4 stars.
“Blind Destiny” by Shiloh Walker is part of the ‘Grimm’s Circle’ series that gives a different and erotic perspective on characters from familiar fairy tales and myths. Luc is a Grimm, a guardian angel who has existed for centuries, finally freed from the torture that took his sight but given the ability to use others to see as well as to connect with their minds. He is the basis of the Prince Charming tales but unfortunately, he and his ostensible true love did not get their happy e...more

I really enjoy stories where the hero or heroine have some sort of a disability. In this case, even though they are both grimm, or angels, Luc is blind. The interesting thing about it is that his gift (as all grimms have one) is the ability to look into the minds of others. He can actually use their eyes as well, which gives him an edge over any human in his condition.

Everyone thinks he's been nursing a broken heart because Perci, his princess, moved on...more

REVIEW:
While Blind Destiny was not my favorite of all the Grimm Circle stories I still loved being back in the Grimm world.

Luc has lived in the past for way too long. Now that the love of his life has moved on Luc has to rethink his purpose as a Grimm. What does he have to offer? Where does he belong? And of course that is when Will shows up and send him on his newest mission. But first he has to go get his new partner. Sina

Sina has lived with the fact that she has been in love with...more

Ok I love Grimm books and I really love this one!!!
Sometimes Shiloh makes you work to figure out the fairy tale before the end but this one was a gimme which was necesssary so that Luc could have some of the awesome sometimes snarky lines he had that made me laugh out loud. I was so in to this story I forgot to feed kids...you think they'd be used to that LOL....and the closer I got to the end the more I was on the edge of my seat freaking out and wondering if that was really gonna happen!

Not bad. At this point, I REALLY want to read Will and Mandy's story. And I want to know what is up with Crow!

Once again, Shiloh Walker totally brings it in Book #7 of her Grimm tales, Blind Destiny. Seriously. Everyone needs to give me Amazon cards for gifts. I need to go back and pick up the first 66time titles. Full review October 11, 2012 at twimom227.com

I was sent a copy of the book for a review and my honest opinion would be that the book is not bad. The theme, unfortunately was not just my cup of tea, but the narration and the unfurling of events are undoubtedly great. It makes an easy read and I reckon the author should have wanted just that. A great choice, I would say, for the fans of stories with a little magic and supernatural in it.
