What a bad luck, that I started this book at the same time as 'Sidecar', so that might be a reason I had to stop reading at about 80%. It started very promising with the meeting of Jake and Drew and their friendship during the next years. Although Jake was in love with Drew more or less from the beginning, he kept that to himself, until at some point he told Drew. From then on the whole story moved in a way that was more and more difficult to follow. The escalating hurtful behavior of Drew and s ...more
The first 75% of this book was great, really, truly, great. It captured the real emotion of the events that took place, so much that when the story took a turn I didn't want it to take I almost stopped reading. Definitely for the younger demographic of the LGBTQAI YA reader crowd. Well written (a few mistakes), and filled with teenage angst/worries about looks, acceptance, style, music, and love.

Recommended for the teen lgbtq reader.
I don't think I have ever read a character this shallow and dumb in my life.Ridiculous, if I didn't know better I would have guessed this was written by a high school student.Blah!!!
