Since moving to Chesterport Flo has discovered new friends and a hidden world.

After spending seventeen years as an Empath, thinking she was either delusional or very, very different, she has found others who are different too. She helped battle a coven of dark witches and watched as their leader got sent to her judgement. All now seems peaceful in her new town, but it's n

WOW! I CAN'T BE TO THE END ALREADY! Ms. Cosway has done it again. I loved this book. The best part about this series is that the heroine is an unsure, timid (rightfully so) 17 year old and is so refreshing in her awkwardness that I just want to jump in and help her. I was literally brought to tears by one specific touching scene between Frank, Flo, & John and anytime an author can move me to cry, they have my full attention! I love the tie in to Ultimate Power series (also a superb series wo ...more

Stunning mix of Fantasy, Folklore, Paranormal & Romance

Read this in one day this past weekend. Only put it down long enough to boil the kettle.

The creatures in the woods on the outskirts of the no longer so sleepy town of Chesterport are awake and want out. They’re just waiting for the opportunity to break free and go after the townsfolk. Flo, as if she didn’t have enough questions about her gift and who she is, now learns she’s distantly related to elves. Yes, you heard right. Now we have e
Yes!! Managed to finish it in record time, mainly by munching on apple slices, ignoring the clock, listening to a mixture of Taylor Swift, Green Day and Train and gluing myself to my chair. In less than six hours I have finished reading a rollercoaster-ride of a book that had me smiling, laughing, tearing up and face-palming continuously :D

A full review will be up ASAP - hopefully tomorrow! Right now, sleep is called for!!

This series is seriously addictive!

Once I got my hands on this book I couldn't wait to get started! I just fell in love with the fantasy world that L.H Cosway created in A Strange Fire, book one in the Florence Vaine Trilogy.
When we first met Flo she was shy, had low self esteem but she was also kind, caring and very unique.
Flo is an empath who can not only see emotions but manipulate the negative emotions away.

A Vision of Green starts off where A Strange Fire ended. Now that Diana and her nasty

(Ebook version kindly sent to me by the author herself, in exchange for an honest review.)

A few months ago, I had read the first volume of L.H. Cosway's Florence Vaine series, "A Strange Fire", and had liked it a lot. This second installment doesn't disappoint either.

We find here characters from the previous novel: Florence, the girl with the power to see and modify people's auras; Frank, her boyfriend, and his family, most of which share the same particularity of being inhabited by a demon's so

I received this book from the author L.H. Cosway, she is actually the first author I received a book from when I started my blog, and I absolutely LOVED the first book in this series! So when I noticed on twitter she had a new book coming out… I was so excited!
In the first book of this series we were introduced to Flo who was a shy girl from a seriously messed up family. In this book Flo has come to a lot of realizations about her life both before and what she wants in the future. However with

If ever there was a reason why you should check if your favorite authors have written anything new this book is it. We had no idea Ms. Cosway had put out the sequel to A Strange Fire until we checked it out on Amazon. We were shocked to see that not only this book was out but also many others, which have already been added to TBR list. Anyway, lets start by saying LH Cosway is a brilliant writer. She knows exactly how to bring you into this world of paranormal mixed with fantasy and mythology. W ...more

When I first read the summary for this book, I was afraid I was not going to like the direction of this story. I believe my fear came because I enjoined the first book so much. But, of course, I was not let down, the story is brilliant! You get all our essentials for a good story: romance, mystery, and action. Even though, this book is focused for young adults, I feel, because of the way it is written, any one at any age can and will enjoy this story. The only bad thing is that I have to wait un ...more

I've just finished this book and now I can get back to my life. I couldn't put it down until I'd finished. This is another great story from L.H. Cosway. I've now read three of her books. Isn't it great when you find a new author whose writing you love and then you discover that she's got more books out that you can read? And they don't disappoint either. The story of Flo continues right where the first book left off and although the story isn’t finished (another book is due out this summer appar ...more

L.H. Cosway does it again! I was glued to this book and didn't put it down until it was over. Florence is a great character and as much as you want to shake her and say snap out of it you also want to hug her and tell her everything will be ok. Oh yeah and Hello Teagen!! Awesome from start to finish.

This book was awesome. I love this author writing style.
Kay so I read the first one and this one back to back so if i start mixing the two i am sorry and i have warned you so :p

I LOVED the first one, and I honestly thoroughly enjoyed this one as well. There was just me being crazy reasons for not giving it a total five, and that is i suppose i wanted more from Frank's family, i felt they were still distant in this book, and also i was expecting her father to be a lot worse than he was... i mean he was bad yeah but i am crazy and i like it when bad =

I did enjoy this book.

Flo is one of those characters that I can never get mad at. Even when she's being stupid and pushing people away, I can see her heart and her sweet intentions so I really can't get mad at her. Which is a bit of a shame because I like it when books are so well written that the characters make me furious. Of course, they've gotta make it up to me in the end or I hate their guts!

Chapter 1 picks up right where we left off in A Strange Fire - Flo about to confront her dad s

Ok, I admit, I rated this a little low. But, I do not think it is as good as the first novel, and I gave that a 4. Here's why:

In this novel, some of our characters continue to grow. On the other hand, I lose sight of a lot of our secondary characters in any way that matters. I feel like I know what they are doing, but don't feel invested in them at all. I just didn't care. Flo is still great, but the relationship between Flo and Frank is super questionable - it jumped ahead in places that had me

First book was a bit better and this left ALOT of cliff hangers. The ending was sad which isn't a bad thing but it almost made me uncomfortable because it wasn't in my comfort zone. Ending was just bad in general and there were too many open spots where things needed to be explained better or better yet a sequel should have been written. I don't expect one now since it goes back to 2012. Good relatively short read into YA books. I didn't mention this in the previous one, but I liked how the lang ...more

I'm really conflicted as to what rating to give this tbh. I mean, I liked it, but there still were some... weird parts (Flo telling Frank she doesn't want to date anymore and him definitely not leaving her alone - I mean, sure, she didn't mean it and wasn't coerced, but still, shady behavior this) and it definitely didn't feel like a proper ending to a series - there was too much left unexplained and I could definitely see this be at least a five book series, with the plot points the author intr ...more

And this one is on the lower side of three stars.

I read it all because it wasn't annoying (but that doesn't mean it made a lot of sense.)

If I was Frank I would have gone off on her! like, "WTF Flo why do you keep lying to me for no reason?"

And you know what was really stupid... they were..'broken up'...but didn't act like it. Why put it in the story if you're not even going to use it?

So it was annoying...but I read it because it wasn't too annoying! ha!

I am so downhearted to know that the author won't actually continue this series. I am very, very invested in this series, its characters and its premise so to say I'm really heartbroken right now is an understatement. But of course I do understand L.H.'s reasoning to do so. Even so, I'm really disappointed!

I couldn't get into the story, to be honest. The first third of A Vision of Green was hard for me to enjoy but then it was like someone hit the switch in my mind and I couldn't get enough of the story. It's just too bad some things were left as a mystery because L.H. Cosway decided not to write another book. But it's okay. I'll get over it. Eventually. ;)

The heroine is spineless...every time I hope that she'll finally pull herself together she doesn't,it was so boring I just kept pushing myself to finish it just to see what will happen....Don't know if I'll read the next book....

I don't think I'll read any more of this series, if more come out. Too much hyperactive attempts to describe a million imaginary creatures. Pity, because I really like the aura thing.
