Excellent romantic suspense! With so many light romances out there, it was refreshing to read such an intelligent and sexy book. The plot is intricate at times and plays into the spy intrigue and attraction between the very bright American Political Counselor Alexis Castle and sexy, adventurous Victor Kostenko, who although holds an important role within the government, may be something else altogether.

When a crisis arises between the two countries, Alexis and Victor are forced to work together...more

Oh my! Nikki Navarre has provided us with political / romantic suspense story that kept me on the edge of my seat. For political junkies, it was the perfect mix of intrigue, political tension and romance to hook you.

Alexis Castel has worked hard to earn the post of Counselor at the US Embassy in Moscow, despite who her father was and the fact that she reports directly to her ex-husband. With tensions rising between Russia and Ukraine, it's Alexis' job to make contact with her Russian counterpart...more

Diplomat Alexis Castle’s glamorous but stressful career dictates every move she makes. And in Moscow, where she’s under constant surveillance and faces the very real threat of being compromised by a Russian intelligence agent, her moves are limited to a handful of carefully calculated cocktail parties. Briefcase always in hand, her poise is unbreakable--until the Russian navy makes a threatening move on fragile Ukraine, and she’s forced to negotiate a solution with her new counterpart in the Rus...more

There’s no doubt about it, Nikki Navarre knows her subject matter. She speaks with authority and insider perspective on many issues as she weaves her knowledge into this story. Painted with the masterful strokes of skilled artist, her written word draws readers into a well-polished, orchestrated world where each character moves and interacts with the precision of chest pieces on a game board. Her descriptions are fresh and dialogue strong and invoking. This story, filled with political intrigue...more

Bloody 5 stars.

Really, how can a man be so hot. Though sometimes I wanted to kill Victor, in Alexis' situation I couldn't have resited a man like him either.

The attraction between them was so palpable every time they crossed paths.

And the End was...It couldn't have been any better, really, a man like Victor confessing his real feelings...and it was a little funny too but great.

And apart from these things it was really interesting to know more about how diplomacy works.

My goodness, the crackling chemistry between Diplomat Alexis and her Russian counterpart Victor, was simply breathtaking!
I found this story well crafted and addictive. I didn't want it to end. I liked the authentic feel of the characters, with their hidden insecurities, fears, self doubts and beautiful moments of vulnerability. But, I also liked their independence, strength of character and drive.
The pace was brisk and didn't stall. There was plenty of action and excitement with ultra steamy l...more

"The Russian Seduction" was a very, very enjoyable read. I ripped right through it! If you love hunky Russian heroes and/or stories about state secrets and espionage, this is the book for you. I liked both the hero and heroine; they both had good motivations for what they did and how they handled themselves.

The story was twisty enough to satisfy, and the action moves right along. There isn't a dull moment in this story, and the conflicts between the characters feel real instead of manufactured....more

I really liked The Russian Seduction. It was extremely interesting to be immersed and read about the world of diplomats. At the same time though, because I know nothing about those kinds of occupations, it would have helped me to be able to reference back to some kind of chart or diagram of the hierarchy of positions and what their duties were.
Nikki Navarre did a terrific job incorporating romance into this storyline. There was action and what ifs to keep it moving. I love strong characters who...more

I have to admit that I love books about Russia. This one had Russia and lots of suspense and seduction. Intelligent, polished American Diplomat falls for former submarine captain/Russian spy. A good read!

Everything was good, but for the ending. I feel like somehow it was cut short. there was no conculsion to their future or where it was going.
