I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Screams in the Night is the perfect book for Halloween. It consists of 7 short yet creepy stories. I started reading the smaller stories first, which are at the end of the book, and I found them a bit lacking...in what I am not so sure. The thing is I love short stories but maybe these were a bit too short for me. Then I read the last story in the book, which was the most creepy on for me: Watched. I read this book because I love Candace Gleave's writing style. She has a way with writing interesting dialogue, intriging people and stunning scenery. The mix of those writing tools makes a good read. I get lost in her stories which is why I was so excited to read this book.
The simon says story really intrigued me too. I will be reading another compliation book by Cindy C. Bennett and Sherry Gammon again.
