I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Screams in the Night is the perfect book for Halloween. It consists of 7 short yet creepy stories. Screams in the Night: Tales of Terror is a Halloween Anthology published by a small, independent press, Prose by Design.

As such, among the author credits you are unlikely to find names you recognize. You are also unlikely to find the quality of writing and editing readers have grown to expect from more seasoned writers and established publishers.

I read this book because I love Candace Gleave's writing style. She has a way with writing interesting dialogue, intriging people and stunning scenery. The mix of those writing tools makes a good read. I get lost in her stories which is why I was so excited to read this book.

The simon says story really intrigued me too. I will be reading another compliation book by Cindy C. Bennett and Sherry Gammon again.

My scarecrow tale is featured in this ghoulish anthology. A Halloween must for the kitties and the pretties. Check it out!
