It's nighttime, and the little girl from the companion book Sunshine is now winding down her day: she eats her dinner, takes a bath, and says good-night to her dolls. Her dad reads her a bedtime story, but she's not quite ready to go to sleep — she gets up for a glass of water, a hug, a reading session with her mom, and then, when both of her parents fall asleep, she's rea...more

Moonlight is a beautifully illustrated book depicting the story of a little girl getting ready for bed but not wanting to go to sleep. The pictures depict her eating her dinner with her parents, getting bathed for bed, putting her dollies to bed, then her getting up a few more times as she doesn't want to go to sleep. It ends with her finally asleep and her parents asleep with her after trying to get her to bed. (I think most parents could relate to this LOL )

I loved the illustrations in this wordless picture book, because the little girl in it looks (and acts) exactly like my daughter. Really beautiful and charming. I was surprised that my daughter wasn't all that into it, but then, since she hates going to bed, probably that's one big reason not to love a book about a little girl having to go to bed.

A storybook without words, allowing the reader and/or child to make up their own version of what they see in the pictures. Tells a simple tale of a young child getting ready for bed and what happens when they don't fall asleep.

Simply charming, but not the reason I fell in love with Ormerod's work. I hope mom and dad have some energy left at some point each week to pay attention to each other - this little girl is almost over-indulged.

I hadn't seen this tile before - just Sunshine. Made me so happy we are over (for the most part) the bedtime struggles.

For a wordless book, this enjoyed many a night spinning bedtime stories.
