I won this in a Goodreads Giveaway. At first glance, I was surprised by the size of this, it's tiny! What was more shocking was the $5 invoice I received with it. There is no way to justify the price for this tiny, oversized pamphlet. The text was a soft overview of the Seven Sacraments. Most of the important themes could be found in actual free pamphlets in the inner doors of any Catholic Church, or in more depth in an actual book. I didn't find any nuggets of info I didn't already know (I am ...more

This little book is a great addition to any Catholic home for gentle reminders of the sacraments and their meanings. It is especially great for those who are new to the church and still learning. What I like best about it is that it is written in such a simple straight-forward way that even children in CCD classes will easily understand and appreciate the beauty of each sacrament explained. Each sacrament is explained with validation from bible references. I am glad I won this book from a ...more

This slim volume accessibly introduces readers to the basic tenets of Catholic Christianity, specifically the seven sacraments (e.g., baptism, communion). I think this would be a very helpful book for anyone who has more curiosity about theology than time in which to pursue his or her interest. The book's small dimensions (sixty-four 4" x 6" pages) make it easy to take with one and read in spare moments.

So I entered to win this book here on goodreads because my little one is going to make her first confession this year and I needed to brush up on my Catholic sacraments!
This book is a short, readable overview of the sacraments with 5 or 6 pages explaining each. I liked the analogy of confession being like going to the doctor - maybe not always fun, but good for us. I will share this book with my kids. I feel like it's a good resource for the whole family to have in the home.

I thought this was a very helpful tiny little pocket book to have. I'm Catholic, but as an adult I tend to forget some stuff. It was nice to have a review, a quick and unstandable review. I won this through good reads and really appreciate it.

This pocket sized book was an informative read, offering a quick overview of the Seven Sacraments of the Catholic church. I found it interesting and pretty thorough even in its compact size.
