(I only read The Notebook)

I really wanted to like this book...... honestly. I thought the premise was sweet and intriguing. But holy cow, the writing almost killed me. It's like the worst example of a first novel. Bad writing, totally not true to the period (sorry, no single woman in the South in 1947 would have that much freedom!), and there were so many areas of the plot that left me with raised eyebrows. (Like when Allie insists she didn't go find Noah in order to rekindle their romance - RIG...more

This is a very touching story about a couple who have been together for a long time and recapturing their love and relationship - a two hankie book - very well written - you will fall in love with the characters. What can I say - another wonderful book by Nicholas Sparks - you won't be disappointed.

I've watched the movie already. Dang it! ha ha. Besides that fact, The movie made me fall in love with Nicholas Sparks' writting. I'm hoping to read all of his books by the end of 2009. New Year's resolution, baby. The book better be a million times better then the movie, though

I adored this book. It made me want the same for myself as I think it would any woman who lost her husband after years of marriage. If any that were true ... this book brought me to tears because I could relate to it so much. Beautifully written ~

I actually only read "The Notebook". I found this book to be a wonderful love story and found gems of wisdom that I can use in my own marriage.
There is a love scene that I found OK but I didn't want my 14 year-old daughter to read, just FYI.

I liked "The Notebook" more than the sequel, "The Wedding" Created a great awareness of Alzheimers. Great author. Sweet idea, but is anyone really that sweet? Does anyone really show love like that?
Julie
Garbage, I can not believe people like him so well. In fact, I refuse to read any of his other works. I even had them checked out but returned them once I read "The Notebook." Gag!

This book was an enjoyable, easy read that did not tax the imagination.
Nicholas Sparks' easy style makes this a quick and pleasurable story to read.

The Notebook is a good book. It is a good tale about Romance when two lovers who had broken up when they were young. Find themselves in love again.

typical Nicholas Sparks, but better than the movie, with the exception of the ending. How can you not love James Garner

the style of the writer is excellent, though the story is a bit sad, but I like to read his novels because he is respectable and doesn't say offensive things

Absolutely breathe taking. Such a romantic book; written with such passion and simplicity. I love the choices of words and the descriptiveness in this book. You will fall in love with these characters, especially Noah. This book is hard to put down.

**The Notebook- 1st book of the series, Powerful storyline, sweet, inspiring, enduring love

**The Wedding- Sequel to The Notebook, Great dynamic character changes, Very surprising ending, but not as memorable as the Notebook

You can't go wrong with a great Nicholas Sparks novel. The Notebook (his first novel) was my fav. The sequel to that, The Wedding is pretty good to. If you want a good "chick read" grab one of his books.

Great book about the feelings and emotions of a husband. I think that's always fun to explore! If you liked "The Notebook" then you'd enjoy this continuation of one of their children's marriage's.
