I recently bought several books on the Nuremberg trials as background reading on a paper I am writing. This was one of the first I received in the mail and the first I have read.

The author spent a bit of time at the trial as a reporter and ended up coming back to America, going to school, and spent 30 years as Judge in California. I visited room 600 in Nuremburg two days ago, downloaded this book yesterday,and finished it today, all the while touring. The book is in three parts, a brief but comprehensive summary of the trial(s), a thorough summary of subsequent events and decisions which follow from the Nuremburg precedents and a brief but effective summary of current threats to these precedents, largely from the United States. This author truly knows his Nuremberg history, literally. He was a reporter, covering the trials for the newspaper, "Stars and Stripes." He talks about the history of the trials, and the legacy that they leave.
