Becs - Sinfully Sexy Book Reviews
Despite quite an outrageous synopsis for the series I was very pleasantly surprised by this collection and I enjoyed it very much. From small acorns do giant oak trees grow and that is so true of this story which starts off fairly innocuously with Lucy working a dead end job with a bit of a crush on the guy she rides the elevator with every day and ends up with an explosive, high action suspense plot.

I think we've all been where Lucy is at the beginning at the novel at some time in our lives - h...more

Lucy Delacourt works as a temp doing data entry at a large firm. It's a job. But it helps to get through the day when she can ogle the gorgeous guy she sees each morning in the elevator. Then one morning in the elevator when she and the stranger are alone, he sexually seduces her. That evening after work in the carpark, he seduces her again. Both times she's shocked but willing.

When Lucy is asked into the offices of Jeremiah Hamilton, CEO of Hamilton Industries, the firm she works for,...more

Initial reaction: Here's a thought I'll leave you with in the time I mull over how I'm going to write my full review on "Anything He Wants", I get there are a lot of erotic novels that are penned for the sake of engaging the sensual variety. But ladies, gents, those who peruse the erotic genre - if you're going to have your two characters engage in sexy times in your novel, that's no reason to totally skimp on character development and interaction, and completely indulge in Mary Sueish fantasies...more

2 stars - OK, I guess. A few things did not sit well with me.

Hmmm…I’m having a déjà lu (as opposed to déjà vu) moment. Have I read this book before? Or something very much like it? I really wanted to like this book; I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this book read very much like a fan fiction.

Anything He Wants: Dominated by the Millionaire is the story of Lucy Delacourt, a young temp. Every morning she rides the elevator with a very handsome stranger. He notices her, and is attracted to her, and...more

"Anything I want." Wow, shivers! Jeremiah is a great character. I just wanted to say before the rest of the review how much I grew to like him, though I had misgivings for quite a bit of the first part of the book.

I could definitely tell that this book was written in different parts. I originally thought I wanted to write a review for this treating it as a whole, but I just don't think it's possible. There are some really definitive lines that separate each part from th...more

A cliffhanger?!? Seriously!?!

Ok, I've got to take some of the blame for this. I read the first part if the book when it can out in serial form. I'm not a fan of serial books, so I didn't keep up with the story. When I saw they were out in one book, I ASSumed it would be the whole story. Nope. While it is a books worth, it's apparently far from the end of the story, which really ticks me off.

As for the story itself. The beginning was, well, ok. There was insta-attraction which translates into so...more

This is a straight up Fifty Shades of Grey knockoff. Like, there is no hiding it. There's even a helicopter scene, kind of like The Bachelor but also like FSOG.

Things this book includes:
1. Betrayal
2. Assassin
3. Poisoned champagne
4. A Frenchman named Gaspard.
5. Snipers
6. Former Army Rangers
7. A brother arms dealer whose nickname is Loki
8. A mostly evil mother
9. A sexy boat house scene, like FSOG
10. A parking garage scene like FSOG
11. Damsel in distress, multiple times, like FSOG
12. A jealous form...more

Okay ladies, you know how we are always looking for that next fix after Fifty? Well, this book helped me get mine. There are a few Christian qualities to Mr. Hamilton and I could not help but think of our Mr. Grey several times while reading.

The one thing that I loved with this book was the little tads of humor thrown in here and there. The main character of Lucy is a tad bit snarky, but, also a tad submissive. She often wonders to herself if she could take much more of Jeramiah’s clipped tone a...more

OK, I am going to give this story 4 stars for 'steaminess' but only 3.5 for originality of the story. While this was a good, entertaining read it seems to fall into the ever growing Fifty Shades genre. Not that I am complaining mind you, because that is a yummy genre and all but I am finding I need something a little more occasionally.

This is actually a compilation of 5 novella's into one and like I said, while it was steamy, the story didn't really get gripping for me until the last story. Whic...more

I received a copy of this book from Net Galley.

While I appreciate receiving a free copy of this book, I cannot recommend it. I suffered through it and ended up finishing it by skimming the last half while watching television. This is yet another example of the Fifty Shades of Grey-like books out there and a particularly egregious example at that. In the book's defense, maybe it's me? Maybe I'm just over this particular formulaic love story/fantasy dynamic, maybe I was never that into it to begi...more

Anything He Wants was originally published as a five-part e serial novel. On November 27th, 2012, Anything He Wants will be available for the first time ever as a complete book. I recently had the privilege of reading Anything He Wants because I received an ARC through NetGalley. Below is an honest review for Anything He Wants (Dominated by the Billionaire #1-5) by Sara Fawkes.

This was originally published as a 5-part serial e-novel. It's since been picked up and the 5 parts that makes this book will be published in paperback format in November.

Fawkes grabs your attention on the first pages with a really hot elevator scene! After reading that scene I thought, "You have my attention!". Frankly, Fawkes didn't let me go until the last page and I was still thinking about this book long after I'd finished.

Lucy thinks herself rather plain, boring, and inexperienced...and sh...more

This is the story of one semi-innocent young woman, Lucy Delacourt, and a crush that turns into an unbelievable reality in just a blink of an eye.

A temp at a prestigious company, Lucy knows she’s not at her dream job, but needs to keep this position to save more money to land on her own feet. The best moment in her day is when she GETS OFF[image error] every morning!

3.5 stars, because this book can't decide what it wants to be when it grows up: another (possibly better) Fifty Shades, a para-military/action-packed book with tough/cool/good looking soldiers, a romance, or a serial with agonizing cliff-hangers

The BDSM label is IMO strictly because the Billionaire is Dominant and the Heroine obviously submissive. There's a bit of light play, but nothing shocking or "forbidden".

Our Heroine is an orphan, who lost her parents, her childhood home, and pretty much h...more

Look out Christian Grey! Make room for Jeremiah Hamilton!
I enjoyed the book and the fast pace of the story. Sara Fawkes did a good job of not making an erotic novel too... "wordy" for lack of a better term. Within the first chapter Lucy and Jeremiah are gettin down and dirty! *sigh* What is it about elevators? LoL...you'll have to read the book to get that reference and trust me, you won't be sorry when you do. *wink*

I liked Lucy's character...she was a strong character and although inexperience...more

Lucy Delacourt, is someone who thinks of herself as invisible, at work and in life. Plain Jane if you will. Losing her parents while in college and then losing her family home as well. Working minimal jobs to get by and payoff her college debt she takes a temp job at Hamilton Industries.

Every morning Lucy rides the elevator at the same time just to get a glimpse of the tall, dark, mysterious stranger. She knows he’s out of her leagu

I received this book to review through Netgalley. It was originally a 5 part series of novellas and was picked up by a publisher and now all books were combined into one. I have to admit that I liked it this way because the story was able to flow nicely together rather than having to wait for the next novella to come out and be frustrated in the process!
This book is about a billionaire Dom, Jeremiah Hamilton, who begins a relationship with a temp he sees in the elevator, Lucy Delacourt. Lucy pur...more

I can't put this one in my favorites.

I did get into the story. It has a Fifty Shades feel to it. However, this book is so emotionally unattached. By that I mean, clearly Lucy fell for Jeremiah. I completely understand that and her feelings. (Even though I think she gave it up to him too easily and would have liked to see her tell him "No" once in a God damn while. Dang girl! Pushover!!!!!)

So I understand her feelings towards him. He saved her, protected her, and made her feel wanted. For her to...more

I am huge fan of Erotic novels. But unfortunately was not always feeling Anything He Wants. Yes some of the scenes are scorchers but was not feeling any of their emotions just seemed like sex nothing more.

It was a very hard decision to rate this novel. At times I felt it was 2 star so-so as the characters and the writing was a bit flat. Starts off ok but once they leave for their trip the novel did at times seem to drag. Even though the middle of book was a little slow, I thought Jeremiah was a...more

The one star is only because I have to fill something in--nothing more.

I requested this book so I really only have myself to blame, I suppose. The summary sounded good, although a little too much like Shades and that itself should have warned me to stay away. But I didn’t; I was desperate for some erotica. I think I could have liked this book until I read this line…

“His casual dismissal annoyed me.”

I'm not sure if I read the same story as all of the top reviewers. This is a completed edition consisting of 5 segments previously written separately. I was expecting the billionaire/damsel in distress characters. But there was no chemistry. I actually found myself getting mad at the degrading and frankly criminal abuse. Hoping to God that there was a really really big change of direction coming. Sadly, nothing changes.
When I first read FSOG, It became blatantly obvious within the first few page...more

Some of my favorite authors are published by St Martin's Press, and so when I came across this title I thought that this might be a good example of the emerging Fifty Shades of Grey sub-genre.

All the elements are there: a very, very rich and handsome man, absurdly young to have accomplished so much, but then he is very driven, mostly by anger. He has never had any interest in a serious or permanent relationship -- until one day he meets, totally by accident, a young woman who immediately engages...more

What a hot, steamy, captivating read!

Anything He Wants is told from the point of view of our heroine, Lucy, who is a bit down on her luck after dropping out of college due to a family tragedy. She is currently working as a temp where she is captivated every morning by a dark stranger in the elevator. After a couple of very steamy encounters in semi-public places, Lucy discovers that her dark stranger is the CEO of the company, Jeremiah Hamilton. Jeremiah advises Lucy that her temp po...more

This was suggested to me by another voracious smut reader, so I had high hopes that it would be good. Maybe I had my hopes up too high because aside from wanting my own billionaire to dominate me in an elevator, a limo, an office, the bedroom, etc, I was left wanting to know more about that billionaire. I never really got to like him because I never got to know him. I also found that the first half of the book didn't seem to match with what happens at the end of the book. What started as a story...more

I really liked this book. The ending had me saying WTH? but after checking the authors website I found out that this is not the end of Jeremiah and Lucys' story (whew!) I can't wait to read the second half with and learn more about Lucas. My only gripe is that when Lucy was in the hospital they never said what was used on her??!! The smexy secnes where HAWT and this is a BDSM book but not to the extreme. I liked that there was a good story line mixed up with all the Smexyness and there wasn't an...more

Firstly who can honestly say they have never thought 'phwoar he is scorching hot' about a man in an elevator? I know I have lol.

Lucy Delacourt thinks the same about Jeremiah Hamilton the only difference is Jeremiah thinks the same about Lucy but he does something about it.

The story starts off at a good pace and drew me in so much I was still reading at 0130. Lots of chemistry between Lucy & Jeremiah and great thriller situations thrown in. All wrapped up in a story that twisted and flowed we...more

Sara Fawkes has always loved spinning tales, but her romantic roots come from sneaking her mother's old Johanna Lindsay books from the dresser drawer. She's been writing stories since she was a little girl (and has the home made books from preschool to prove it), and loves creating stories and characters and interesting messes for them to get into. An avid traveler and adventure motorcyclist, her...more
