Despite quite an outrageous synopsis for the series I was very pleasantly surprised by this collection and I enjoyed it very much. I think we've all been where Lucy is at the beginning at the novel at some time in our lives - harbouring a major league, pantie-wetting crush on a hot guy who hardly seems to notice our existence. Lucy is down on her luck, working well below her paygrade and every morning she makes sure rides the elevator with the gorgeous man in the designer suits who always seems to have an entourage and never once acknowledges her presence.

Then, one day, they find themselves alone in the elevator and he reaches across and presses the emergency stop button and demands to know who she is. She's been driving him mad with desire, he swears he can smell her arousal and they share an intensely hot scene. Phew!! Lucy's about to lose her job in the latest redundancy cuts and the gorgeous man in the elevator turns out to be non other than the billionaire CEO of the company she works for. He can resist her charms no longer and coerces her into signing an extremely lucrative contract as his personal assistant to provide 'Anything he wants'.

Jeremiah is our very demanding CEO and, even though he has a cold, stoic manner, you begin to sense the vulnerability underneath his resolute exterior, feel his all-consuming desire for Lucy and little snippets into his past begin to give us an understanding of how he came to be the man he is today. He has a voracious sexual appetite and is very much the dominant as they share some intense, extremely hot BDSM scenes together.

Lucy - I did worry during the first 2 novellas that she was a bit of a doormat. Yes. she's had some hard knocks but I did question her decision to agree to whatever her new boss demanded of her without giving it a huge amount of thought but the doormat was completely gone by part 3 and her feisty and loyal personality started to shine through and she becomes a much more likeable heroine. She's almost powerless to resist the dominant power of her boss and thrives on her own submission.

It's obvious to see the feelings growing between these two although Jeremiah is a closed book emotionally but his eyes give him away telling Lucy what he just can't put into words. Lucy is slowly falling for her boss but never really knows where she stands with him - is she employee, lover, responsibility, liability?

By part 3 we also get a whole host of secondary characters including Jeremiah's machiavellian enigmatic brother Lucas. I confess I developed a bit of a crush on Lucas as he exuded a devilish charm which I could scarce resist. We also get to meet the Arch-Bitch that is their mother - Cruella De Ville is alive and kicking it would appear. I HATED her!

The story moves on from a straight billionaire buys submissive style plot as conspiracy theories abound and we have assassination attempts and multiple kidnappings. There's a WICKED cliffhanger at the end and I've managed to find out that Sara Fawkes intends to continue the story thankfully as there's just no way we could leave it there.

J'ai beaucoup aimé.
Qu'on se le dise: ça n'a rien à voir avec 50 Shade. Il n'y a rien de comparable. Les héroïnes, les héros, le relations entre les héros,... tout est différents. A se demander si les éditeurs savent ce qu'ils publient. Cela devient agaçant à la longue, cette façon de surfer sur la vague 50 Shade.

I'm not sure if I read the same story as all of the top reviewers. This is a completed edition consisting of 5 segments previously written separately. I was expecting the billionaire/damsel in distress characters. But there was no chemistry. I actually found myself getting mad at the degrading and frankly criminal abuse. Hoping to God that there was a really really big change of direction coming. Sadly, nothing changes.

Ok, I've got to take some of the blame for this. I read the first part if the book when it can out in serial form. I'm not a fan of serial books, so I didn't keep up with the story. When I saw they were out in one book, I ASSumed it would be the whole story. Nope. While it is a books worth, it's apparently far from the end of the story, which really ticks me off.

If you like Fifty Shades and the Crossfire series then you will like this book. It is about a rich man with issues who falls in love with a simple girl. Ok...First let me say I really enjoyed this book. From the get go it is a great read. It starts out with a bang and just keeps going. Their was not one page of this book that did not entertain. Romance is escapism, pure and simple. Sometimes we escape to a world where everyone is beautiful and no one ever gets hurt (not really, anyway, think Debbie Macombe...more First off, I'm not a fan of serialized books, as Anything He Wants was first sold. Romance is escapism, pure and simple. Sometimes we escape to a world where everyone is beautiful and no one ever gets hurt (not really, anyway, think Debbie Macomber) and sometimes we escape to worlds that have even less to do with reality, like Anything He Wants. This is NOT a book for those looking for light romance. Lucy and Jeremiah are modeled after FSOG's Ana and Christian, with both a little more and a little less kinky, well, you know what (or you do if you've read FSOG). I found Anything He Wants to be a little disappointing - I'll still read the rest of the books in the series, though - because everything feels rushed. In less than a few days, Lucy decides she's in love with Jeremiah despite his controlling tendencies, which seems too much, too soon. Don't get me wrong, I believe in love at first sight, having gone through it with my husband (27 years and counting) but this just seemed too, too. Before we know it, Lucy is on a private jet with Jeremiah and then they are home again, with them at Jeremiah's Hamptons home. Meanwhile, no mention is made of Lucy having checked in with her roommate or friends, to let them know what's happened (she just disappears with Jeremiah). With a little finesse, Ms. Fawkes could have had an excellent story here.

I do like the potential for Lucas's (Jeremiah's brother) character to develop in future books. I also appreciated Ms. Fawkes's writing competency as there are few typos or grammatical errors and she doesn't have the bad habits that EL James does ("Oh, my." Nuff said.) However, she needs to brush up on safe sex habits. There is a certain less common sex act that requires you to, ahem, clean up after as good hygiene is essential. This same act also requires lube if you're going to enjoy it. This particular sex act is one that most people have an aversion to and Ms. Fawkes does the general public a disfavor by not describing them smarter. (Lora Leigh does a great job in this area if you want to compare to another author.)

In sum, Anything He Wants is a decent book, just make sure you understand it's more erotic than romance. I'll probably reread it when the next installment (book, not serialized chapters) comes out. (less)

Hands down this was probably without a doubt one of the best written erotica novels I had ever read. Sure there was a lot of sex in it, but that's part of this genre. It had some wishfillment elements to the story, but I could deal with that since the plot and writing style was good.

Some of the book points I liked was that both characters had some flaws and were developed. I actually liked both of them and would love to see a series with both of them. I really liked that Lucy was easy to relate...more

I’m not sure what to say about this book. I guess it was an okay read but I’m afraid it didn’t do a whole lot for me. Much of the book was too similar to other books I have read in the past. The broody, mysterious billionaire with issues, his dysfunctional family, threats against him and those closest to him and the innocent heroine from a modest background who finds herself in the middle of a world she is unfamiliar with but who manages to handle it all with unrealistic ease; it is all a case of been there, done that and would really like a more original take on the story please.

It is not that the story is hard to read. There is a lot happening on these pages and some of it is well written and captivating. Surprisingly for a work of erotic fiction it was the thriller segments of the story that worked better for me than the erotic encounters. In fact, the descriptions of intimacy between Jeremiah and Lucy became repetitive and boring rather quickly.

I am willing to admit though that I might have enjoyed this book more if this had been my first or second book featuring a beautiful but troubled billionaire. As it is though, this book didn’t give me anything original or exciting so it wasn’t the book for me at this time. I’m getting a bit fed up reading about young women who have no or very little sexual experience because they are just not attractive enough only for them to become the subject of everybody desires as soon as the billionaire takes them under his wing. The changes Lucy goes through over the course of just a few weeks just do not make sense and make the story less relatable rather than more interesting. Yes, I do realize this is an erotic fantasy and not a work of realism; but that doesn’t mean I want to read about two dimensional characters I can’t relate to in any way, shape or form. In order to really enjoy a book I have to care about the characters and their ultimate fate and I found that just wasn’t the case were Jeremiah and Lucy were concerned.

In short I’m sorry to say that this just wasn’t the book for me right now. It will probably appeal to anyone who is looking for anything that will remind them (strongly) of Fifty Shades of Grey though.

It was a rare occasion in which the physical book was cheaper than the kindle edition. I honestly had no idea what to expect from it. I of course read the description but it was really the fact that this book was first self-published. I am a big supporter of those who self-publish and I love to support the success stories of self-publishing as well.

The book is less than 300 pages, but the author wastes no time on getting into the story that drives you through the entire book. You do not have to read for numerous chapters for it to get good. Things get going within the first couple of pages and they don’t slow down, not even when you get to the end of the book. I was so disappointed when the book ended. I didn’t want it to end. It is very clear that there will be a book two, an Sara even confirms a book two on her blog sarawriteserotica.wordpress.com. I will be keeping a eye out for when the second book will be released.

The book is centered around Lucy Delacourt, a temp employee in a small department located within Hamilton Industries. Lucy has had a rough hand dealt to her in the last few years so she does what she needs to get by. As of right now her biggest thrill is riding the elevator in the mornings and getting a glimpse of a gorgeous man whom she has no idea who he is but doesn’t really care. He is just her eye candy, a little bit of light in her otherwise depressing situation. All of that changes when he seduces her one day in the elevator and she gives in without even knowing his name. Although she soon figures out exactly who he is, Jeremiah Hamilton, as in the billionaire who owns the building she works in as well as many others. He offers her the position of being his personal assistant, a job that Lucy really can’t pass up considering the amount of money he is offering and how badly she needs its. What starts off as a business agreement soon turns into a hot and dangerous love affair. Lucy soon discovers how very little she really knows about her new boss and lover.

I read this book in one day, I didn’t want to put it down. There is so much happening between the characters and Sara has done an amazing job creating the dynamics of her characters. The more you read the more you learn about Jeremiah and his family and how things are never really what they seem and you never really know anyone as well as you think you know them. This book will be making its way onto my list of favorites and I look forward to reading the rest of Lucy and Jeremiah’s story in book 2.

I wold highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed 50 Shades of Grey or Bared To You.

I can't put this one in my favorites.

I did get into the story. It has a Fifty Shades feel to it. However, this book is so emotionally unattached. By that I mean, clearly Lucy fell for Jeremiah. I completely understand that and her feelings. (Even though I think she gave it up to him too easily and would have liked to see her tell him "No" once in a God damn while. Dang girl! Pushover!!!!!)

Our Heroine is an orphan, who lost her parents, her childhood home, and pretty much her world when her parents died 2-3 years ago. She was attending an Ivy League school, blissfully unaware that her parents were paying for her schooling with heavy mortgages on the house. So when they died, she found herself with a mountain of debt and no more money for school. Which means she dropped out her junior (or later) year, got whatever jobs she could find, and tried to save the house - a losing battle. She finally moves to The City (NYC), bunks in with an old friend, and takes a temp position at Hamilton Corp.

She's semi-stalking a Guy-in-an-expensive-suit who also works at Hamilton Corp. She has no idea who he is (I guess the anonymity adds to her secret fantasies), but she manages to take the same elevator that he does every morning; except she always gets off the elevator first.

One day, she's left on the elevator with only the Fantasy Guy... he's more than aware of her "stalking", he knows what he wants (and her secret elevator fantasy), and he takes it. She stumbles off the elevator afterwards, brimming with excitement and shame. Only to "stumble" into him after work in the parking garage and "stumble into" another encounter.

The next day, she's called into the Top Boss's office on the top floor. Of course her Fantasy Man is none other than the Billionaire who runs and owns Hamilton Corp. He tells her that her temp job is up that afternoon, and he offers her a job as his PA - Personal Assistant. When she asks for a list of job duties, he responds with, "Anything I want." She knows what that means. She spends a few useless minutes in her mind, grappling with her needs (money & a job), her wants (him), and her conscience (shame? excitement?); but we know as well as she does that she's going to take the job. Which she does, and then is immediately asked to "assume the position". For which we try to hate the Billionaire for taking advantage of her wants and needs and driving home to her just who really is in charge here.

Then he whisks her immediately away to Paris, where she surprises him with her language abilities, and he surprises her in meeting his COO (a lovely married woman), his head of security (her hubby and former Special Services buddy of the Billionaire), the Billionaire's last PA (a cool Russian blonde who mocks her), and his brother Loki/Lucas (who obviously has some really bad blood between him and the Billionaire). She's out of her element, all dressed up at a charity event, and practically abandoned by her "date". But Loki/Lucas manages to cause enough trouble for all of them. So we get the idea that the Billionaire has major family issues (his older brother should have inherited the CEO spot, so why doesn't he have it? and what's with the blood lust between them?), yet he possibly also has developing feelings for her? Or is she just another possession?

This is where the book turns on itself and us on our heads: some celebratory champagne delivered to the suite by an anonymous waiter that only she saw turns out to be poisoned, leaving her fending for her life. Suddenly, Mr. Billionaire goes Para-Military trying to find out who did this and who the real target is - him? her? the company? And who's behind it all?

Our Heroine finds herself whisked from the Paris hospital back to NY and then to the Billionaire's family home in the Hamptons on Long Island. Where she meets his ditzy, class-oriented mother. And becomes a virtual prisoner. The Billionaire isn't telling her much, and he's barely looking at her or touching her. What happened to "anything he wants?", she wonders. Well, there's some of that mixed in with all this intrigue, Loki/Lucas showing up out of nowhere, a family smackdown, a sniper, a kidnapping, a trade of hostages, and a bomb. Our Billionaire saves the day, of course. But we're still left in limbo with what he wants and will do, and her confusion and melt-downs. If she didn't want to be a sex toy, why is she suddenly so worried? Oh yeah, that's right - she's fallen in love with this distant, sometimes very cold man; or is that just lust, because his Dominant side thrills her?

And yet, we're left with a silly cliffhanger that any self-respecting Heroine would know better than to stumble into. Again. When will Heroines of romance learn that throwing down ultimatums is NOT the way to get their man? And running off with who she does after just promising the Billionaire that despite her leaving the Hamptons house that she'll always let him know where she is... Well, she's obviously not thinking with her brain.

Problem is, despite this book trying to be-all for-all, there's something about it that draws me in. So yes, despite all the silliness, I will read the next book in this series. Just to give it a fair shot, since I do want to know what the Perils of Pauline (AKA our Heroine) will lead to.(less)

I don't know why this book is labeled as BDSM... yes, the Billionaire is Dominant and the Heroine is submissive, and there's some use of restraints and toys. But overall, this is supposed to be the story of a Girl who's been semi-stalking a good looking guy that she's drawn to at the building she has a temp job in. She secretly fantasizes about him. And one day, they happen to be alone in the elevator together and... well, this guy knows what he wants and how to get it.

Turns out, of course, the "guy" is the Billionaire who owns and runs the Hamilton Corp. After a couple of anonymous encounters, of which the Girl is both excited and ashamed, she's called up to the Big Office. The Billionaire offers her a job as his PA (Personal Assistant), and when she asks for a list of the job duties, he responds, "Anything I want." She knows what that entails, and so she spends a few useless minutes struggling with her wants and needs before accepting the job and assuming "the position".

Turns out our sweet, young Heroine is an orphan with a mountain of debt trying to pay off student loans and keep her family house after her parents died. But she lost the house, dropped out of her Ivy League school, and is now doing whatever temp work she can find to barely scrape by. So we all know that she's going to take the job offer - she's desperate enough. And for a few minutes, we hate the Billionaire for knowing and taking advantage of her. Except that we know, just as she does, that she's wildly attracted to him, and that this pairing is going to happen no matter who gets hurt in the end.

There's some good stuff with him whisking her off to Paris for business and a charity fundraiser. She surprises him with her language abilities. He surprises her with his animosity towards a brother she didn't know he had, and that brother (Loki/Lucas) does everything possible to annoy, tease, and taunt her in full view of the possessive Billionaire. There's bad blood between these two, but we don't know why yet.

Here's where the book starts to turn on itself. Because just as our Heroine and the Billionaire are making some progress beyond the bedroom, she gets poisoned. Who's life is at stake - hers or his? He goes all Special Forces and brings in his own highly trained mercs squad, keeping her completely in the dark, and treating her like a possession. She starts to wax and wane between wistful romance and confused anger. Will she ever get a backbone? Yes, of a sort.

In the meantime, there are the questions of who hired the hitman, who is the real target, and when did this turn into a "I hate my lame family", "trust no one", "OMG - a bomb!", and other weird stuff. This is where the book gets confused and confusing. Especially when we hit the last chapter, and our Heroine thinks she got her backbone back... or did she? Is she just being used? And when will Heroines learn that pushing ultimatums on guys just doesn't work???(less)

I am huge fan of Erotic novels. But unfortunately was not always feeling Anything He Wants. Yes some of the scenes are scorchers but was not feeling any of their emotions just seemed like sex nothing more.

It was a very hard decision to rate this novel. At times I felt it was 2 star so-so as the characters and the writing was a bit flat. Starts off ok but once they leave for their trip the novel did at times seem to drag. Even though the middle of book was a little slow, I thought Jeremiah was a...more I am huge fan of Erotic novels. But bang things started picking up especially around 75% into the book, it started getting good with a lot of twist and turns that it was a 3 stars likable book.

But then out of the blue it ended with a cliffhanger or at least to me it seems like a huge cliffhanger or just a not good ending with no HEA. I am thinking this is a novel that ends with a bad no HEA ending, because it was First published as a five-part serial novel. Not being a big fan on the ending I give Anything He Wants a 1 star not good rating. Honestly if I would of been interested, paid no matter the amount and read all 5 installments, the 5th installment I would of been beyond upset and would want a refund. In the last installment #5 Betrayal the synopsis says “But happily ever after may be further than ever before”. So True. I am thankful I was given the opportunity to review this book free from the publisher because I would of been upset if I would of had to pay $9.99 for the kindle price which I think is bit to high for this novel. I still would of been mad if I had to pay any amount for this novel.

I love the synopsis of Anything He wants with a good, interesting storyline and I think it has potential if the writing was more in depth and if the ending was revised with HEA that continued with the exact last line with at least another chapter.

I purchased and read the first two, and although I enjoyed them, I decided that $2.99 was just too much for a few chapters of a book that didn't feel like anything more than just that, a piece of a book. Anything He Wants is contemporary erotica, and likely another book series that falls under the guise of, “If you loved Fifty Shades of Grey, you’ll love this!” And while I am a fan of Fifty, probably because Fifty was the first book of its type that I had read, I unfortunately can’t say that I did love Anything He Wants.

Lucy is a data entry clerk, and she has timed her elevator rides every morning so that she is able to ride with and ogle a drop-dead hunk, who we later find out is Jeremiah. The series begins with such an elevator ride, and after everyone has exited the elevator, with the exception of Lucy and Jeremiah, before these two even exchange hellos or names, they get down and dirty in the elevator. Later that evening, at the end of the work day, Jeremiah tracks Lucy down in the parking garage, and another trust ensues. And they still have yet to exchange names. The next day, Lucy is taken to Jeremiah’s office by her boss, to find out that Jeremiah is the CEO of his own company. Sound familiar? Well, come to find out, Lucy was about to lose her job, but Jeremiah (yes, they finally know each other’s names), offers her a job as his personal assistant. What does the job description entail? You guessed it: Anything he wants. Lucy doesn’t take too long to think about and accept the job: her parents died a couple of years ago, she lost their house due to the debt she inherited, and she is down on her luck financially. So, Jeremiah’s lucrative offer is enticing enough for her to say yes. And so it begins.

As his personal assistant, Lucy goes with Jeremiah to Paris for a function, and while there, she gets caught in the cross hairs, so to speak, of someone out to harm Jeremiah, either directly, or indirectly by harming Lucy. It is from this that we see Jeremiah become super alpha, and basically claims Lucy, vows to protect her, but then also pushes her away from any of her sexual advances. Jeremiah sends more mixed signals than a broken traffic light. Regardless, Lucy is still infatuated, and finds herself sequestered in his house without any hope of leaving any time soon. Meanwhile, someone is still on the loose to hurt Jeremiah and/or Lucy, but does she listen to Jeremiah while trying to keep her safe? Nope – that would be too wise!

There were a lot of elements in this book series that just fell flat for me, sadly. I couldn’t get over the ridiculousness of so many situations in the series. First, when the sex scenes begin the way they do, with no introductions or exchange of names, within the first pages of the book, I just can’t help but roll my eyes. And then, of course, the series was just too formulaic. The corporate hot shot/CEO falls in lust with college drop-out, data entry clerk, who, after hot sex but no meaningful dialogue, agrees to do anything he wants for the right price, and subsequently, listens to and gives in to his demands of “Kneel” and “Bend over and put your elbows on the desk.” Wow! Really???? I think that besides a physical attraction, it would be nice to see some compatibility through dialogue and other exchanges before acquiescing to his every whim. However, dialogue is quite lacking, if there at all, and not just in the beginning, but throughout the entire series.

Nonetheless, within days, Lucy finds herself falling head over heels, and dare I say it – love – for this dominating, domineering, and often cold, billionaire. Is the sex hot? It definitely is! But is that enough to make someone fall in love after a couple days? Nope, not in my book.
To make matters worse, Lucy makes decisions that are just mind boggling to me. When Jeremiah tells her to “Kneel,” does she does so at his word? Yes. But when her life is in jeopardy, does she do what Jeremiah tells her to, in order to keep her safe? Nope! *insert another eyeroll here.* And then when information comes out about Jeremiah’s past, and who may be out to harm him, it is basically spelled out directly for them before the head-smacking comprehension hits either Lucy OR Jeremiah. Wow! For an ivy-league student, and a corporate billionaire, it really takes them awhile to be clued in.

All that said, I do admit to the smexy scenes being pretty damn hot. Other than my repulsion to some of the verbiage used (e.g., “weeping folds” – yeah, that just provides me with some abhorrent imagery really), the sex scenes did get my girly bits tingling. And I do have to give Fawkes kudos for the ending of the 5th release….I never saw that coming, and now she has enticed me enough just to continue reading to find out the who’s and why’s behind all the mystery.
