Two novellas to tie into the series. I was hoping they would be written from the guy's point of view because the girls bug me, but they weren't. Oh well, I liked reading more about the male characters of the series which are the best reason to read the entire series. The female leads just always seem overconfident, reckless and immature to me. You may or may not remember that the River of Time series by Lisa T. Bergren is one of my absolute favorite series. Well, because Ms. Bergren is seriously awesome, she wrote two novellas to go along with the series. Bourne/Tributary was just released in paperback, and I just HAD to have a copy. I already had both books on my Kindle app, but hello, the pretty needed to be on my shelf.

I have tried Lisa Bergrens books before and they couldn't really capture my attention all that well enough to read the continuation of the series. However, when I saw the cover, yes I am a cover snob, I thought I might give her another shot. Her novella of Bourne was ok. I finished it to the end and the story came out fine in the end. So much happens in these two books. Marcello, Gabi, Lia, Luca, Lord Greco, and many new people are found in these pages.

I loved this series. I would recommend these books to all my reading friends from teens on up. Lisa is a captivating author with a great writing style. She brings her characters to life and has a great insight to the historical information to make these work great. The romance is exciting yet clean and delightful. The adventure keeps you on the edge, never knowing just how things will turn out. Great reading!!!
This was due at the library and I wanted to finish it. It was a great end to the series. Definitely short and I would have preferred longer, but that's what novellas are. But, things were tied up so fast I hardly had time to take it in. But, it was fun.
I could have finished this book in 2 days but I wanted to make it last! I loved this series just a good story with all the great elements. I feel like the ending was a bit more final in this book than in book 3, but I hope she continues it even if it is in novella's and not in a full book.
I love the characters, I must say, in Lisa T. Bergren's River of Time series. But this book was NOT AT ALL like the others. It seemed it was written at a very fast pace with little inspiration. I didn't like the plot. Too many battles. Lia's perspective of the story was interesting...I still don't like it. Alessandra was an interesting character and I think I like Rodolfo now.
I loved this! Lia and Luca are so sweet!

Loved the addition to the story and the new characters.
This won't be a great review because I finished this book a month ago. I just know I struggled finishing this one. The first two flew and I don't know if I had just had enough of this kind of story.
I did love the series and will recommend them.
It's nice to be able to read a book that is decent and keeps your interest.

Enjoyed Tributary much more than Bourne. Nice to read about some different characters from the other side.
