3 Stars! It pains me to say this but I did not enjoy this one as much the second time as I did the first. Maybe I've read too many books since then?? I don't know.

I found this book to be extremely frustrating although it was pretty realistic. It was very slow reading, the inner monologue went on forever, the couples back and forth was exhausting. But hey you may like it more than I did.

Wow, wow, wow, was this an incredible surprise and absolutely a new favorite series for me!! Shark Bait came highly recommended by a very good friend of mine, and I couldn't wait to dive in (har, har). My first impression was "okay, so here's a cute young love story with a naive heroine", and I was thinking it'd probably be one of those stories that I'd enjoy but not necessarily be blown away by. This is Jenn Cooksey's first published book and I have to say that I thought Shark Bait was very well written and I LOVE J. Cooksey's style of writing, it's quick witted, sarky, REAL and bang up to date!! "Tristan's Wall of Infamy conversations" had me in stitches!!
Camie and her family move back home after her Mum gets diagnosed with breast cancer. After being home-schooled by her Mum she now has to enter and survive the gauntlets of proper high-school.

Oh my! I am so, so excited to write this review, for two reasons…
One, our MC Camie Ramsey. There is one thing I can no longer get angry about, insta-love. Why? Well, because I experienced insta-love with our dear Camie before I made it through the first two paragraphs of the first chapter!

When it started out, I was wasn't feeling it much because I felt the Characters might be too young and immature for my liking. My friend Jess adored it so I kept pushing on and before I knew it I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with all the he said she said banter and drama between all these teens. This was quite possibly the cutest book I have EVER read.
I admit that it's been a spell since I ventured into the land of YA but, I couldn't be happier that this was the book I chose to break that particular spell.

Holy amazing book batman. This book far exceeded my expectations. I will shamefully admit I held off on my desire to read this book solely based on the cover and I haven't been interested in reading books that involve characters that are still in high school.

The title and book cover are extremely catchy but it's the story that hooks you. Okay I have to start buy stating I'm not a 'huge' YA fan - an while I don't consider this book a complete YA type book due to language an mild sexual content ... Basically though its more the ages of the main characters (Camie is 15 an Tristan is 17). So I'm biased an a stereotyper! Sue me.

Things I loved about this book:

I found this book difficult to rate due to my mixed feelings. I wanted to like it more than I did.
On the positive side, I enjoyed the author's sense of humor including her use of song, TV, and movie references. I could completely relate to Camie's ongoing inner soundtrack to whatever situation she was in. I do the same thing. SHARK BAIT is a hilarious YA contemporary debut that came into my life at just the right time. I haven't read a book this fast in months! The snarky humor, hot boy, hilarious narrator, and an entertaining cast of supporting characters all made for one heck of a book. My heart was just as invested as Camie's was in the outcome of her "game" to snag Tristan. This yummy hunk of man is very difficult to get and Camie has to give her all to be able to have a chance. I LOVED THIS BOOK....omg. I was somewhat skeptical about getting this book because the Heroine was only 15 years old but I tried the sample offered by Amazon. Within two paragraphs i bought the book. Camie's voice was so unique and spunky...she literally had me cracking up while i was reading (my boyfriend thought I was loosing it).
I loved Kate's play by play and dissection of everything Tristian Daniels (will get to him later) and loved her relationship with "Dear Jeff" (yess, he's dear to me)...more

This book is ridiculously cute and fun to read! If you're one of those readers that judge a book by it's cover (or even the title), you might think twice about reading this book, but don't! It's totally worth reading! I genuinely like all of the characters, especially the little spitfire, Jillian!

“On the wall next to the door we’d entered through was a huge floor-to-ceiling bulletin/whiteboard combo and hanging from a thumbtack on the bulletin board amongst pictures and other various sorts of memorabilia was my bra. It’d been washed but it still had
a good many blotches of pink on it. If that wasn’t shocking enough, the dialogue written over the last two weeks on the whiteboard pertaining to said bra certainly was. I’ll include the copy just so you can truly appreciate what I’m dealing with here.

a good many blotches of pink on it. If that wasn’t shocking enough, the dialogue written over the last two weeks on the whiteboard pertaining to said bra certainly was. I’ll include the copy just so you can truly appreciate what I’m dealing with here.
