It's an awesome, fully-informative review. Too bad it isn't here on GoodReads.

Anyways, perfect snarkbait. This ranks up there (or down there, more like) on the shelf of truly awful books with Keeper Martin's Tale. Actually this one is likely worse: just read a sample from Amazon. The prose is so bad your eyes will bleed!
Hooboy, another self-published book. Quality is usually inevitably going to be variable in self-published books, so let's start, shall we?

This is a story of Harlow Grimm, a Protagonist, who is a girl of modest origins and turns out to be destined to defeat the big evil baddie.

And that's about as far as I can reveal the plot.

The book originally came to my attention through the website Conjugal Felicity, whose maintainer is currently sporking this book. And yes, a quite spork-worthy book it is. I
Full of promise. It was weird and not my usual type of read, but not as terrible as everyone has made it seem. Someone brought me on to it through my online writing circle. Her comments echoed the other reviews here but I have to say that I think it was a pretty neat little book and I don't know anything about this girl who wrote it but I think people are being a little unfair about all of it. Breeanna Alessandra is a young novelist and a full time college student. Though "At First Glance" is her first novel, she plans on continuing her career for many years to come in multiple genres, not just fantasy.

She enjoys art and music and is a regular participant in theater productions such as her role as Jo March in "Little Women".
