Checking this out from the library after watching the film, 'Luther' about his life. I wanted to know more, so I reserved this book. When I picked it up, I realized it was meant for young adults. I read it anyway and found it informative and a quick read with lots of pictures. :)

This was a quick read that provided a basic outline of Martin Luther's life and beliefs. It is a very appropriate book for middle school students (I actually borrowed this book from the school library). The chapters were short and to the point with some sidenotes and plenty of pictures. One downside to the pictures was that some of them were just stock pictures that seemed to be passed off as actual woodcuts of Luther, etc., when they were really just showing contemporaries. Good overview for those new to Luther; however, misses some key theology and completely glosses over his antisemitism, etc - therefore, lacks the complete story
