I found this book kind of pointless. I got it thinking that itwould reveal parts of J.K. Rowling's inspration for te characters and I figued it would be interesting to see how many of the creatures weren't really of her creation. The book however, was filled with boring information that I found had no significance

Listings of creatures, (some) characters, and a bit of background. Not much "new" information, and about as much as any hard-core Potter fan could tell you without a book in hand.
