Wow. A very moving book. It was amazing to read this: It made me realize just how lucky I am. The book was very moving, making me realize even more the importance of history (if that's possible), family, tradition, and religion. And also... Who's ever heard of the Armenian Genocide? I mean, seriously. There were two quotes on the first page of this book: The first was from the Turkish Government ordering for all the Armenians to be killed, no compassion to women or children or seniors. The secon...more

This book was pretty good. It was very easy to read and I did keep wishing it would go into some more details. But it is meant for teens/young adults, so I can understand why it didn't get to graphic. All in all though, the subject was fascinating...why don't we know more about the Armenian genocide? Hitler actually said, "No one remembers all of the Armenian's that were killed, so they won't remember me killing the Jews." Scary.

This book is VERY GOOD. It is about the Armenian Genocide. I think this book was interesting because the Armenian genocide had something to do with the Holocost, and in this book, how it is described, is almost exactly like the Holocost. So just read it!!!!!!!!It is A GREAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!
Also, I think I understood it more than other people would because I actually saw how it affected the Armenain population

This book still does break my heart when I look at it. I read this in the tenth grade and couldn't read it during school because I would just break down and cry. The Armenian Genocide needs to be addressed and recognized and yet half of the people know about it and turn a blind eye, while others sit there ignorant and unaware. But I guess that doesn't hurt.

I never knew about the Armenian slaughter by the Turks before reading this. I appreciate that a young person can read this because it's not too graphic.
